I have managed more than a dozen of rental properties and plumbing issue often becomes as one of major services among all. Never tried Drain Control before till today. Since we have had a preferred vendor to work with in the past, unfortunately, my vendor got a flat tire this afternoon on the way to our place. I had to call another plumbing company since I wanted to get it done today. This is how Drain Control came to my eyes when I yelped. Though they don't have a lot of reviews but people gave them all POSITIVE reviews. After I reviewed most, I decided to try them and it turns out GREAT. Not just they accommodated our requested schedule (today), the staff, Trieu (Owner Kim's brother), came and explained to me in details how he was going to do and what we may need to expect in case to snake is not good enough, including the possible budget range and benefits of hydro-jet can do for us. After Trieu opened the outside vent and snaked it, he immediately identified that we don't need to spend extra money for hydro-jet. I like them being honest and consider necessities from customer's point of view too. I will treat them as one of our preferred plumbing vendors from now on. THANK YOU, Trieu.

I had a blocked tub drain and was not able to use our bathtub.
Kim Vo from Drain Control Plumbing came out within a couple of hours of my call and had my problem resolved and my tub usable again.

And the cost was even a bit less than the estimate.

When you have plumbing problems, most people feel a bit vulnerable. I appreciate someone like Kim who comes out and gives honest estimates and does good efficient work within the cost estimate.

Next time I have plumbing issues I will be calling Drain Control Plumbing.

We had a water pressure regulator failure and the pipes were making clanging noise when faucets where closed each time. I requested quote on yelp. Kim replied in 15 min. Was at home in a few hours and fixed it and explained before/after. He had brand new part with him as well. Would recommend Drain Control strongly.

Highly Recommend! Kim answered my email in the evening when I had no expectation that he would or should. We arranged to meet at 9:30am for a no cost estimate, and he showed up exactly on time. He diagnosed my drain problem, told me it was most likely the City's responsibility being in the drain close to the street. He suggested I call them because they should clear it for free. He spent his time traveling and poking around, and suggesting a free alternative. And for this he charged me exactly nothing. That's right, free! (Also, kudo's to the City of Santa Clara Sewer Dept. for showing up quickly and fixing the problem).

This was a great experience, and I would certainly not hesitate to call them again, even if I did have to pay!

Kim is my new guy! He totally set me up. I had a drain clog between the sink to the main line. Kim gave me a very reasonable quote and arrived a early for the appointment. He unclogged the drain quickly. We then agreed on a very fair price for Kim to use his camera to show me the pipe. Turns out my old galvanized pipe has corrosion severely choking the pipe (down to 5%). Kim also gave me a very fair quote to replace it. I was so happy with Kim's skill and equipment that I asked me to use his larger camera to find out why my main line from the house to the city sewer gets clogged/backup sometimes. We agreed on a very fair price and he used his big camera and showed me a monster set of roots. We talked for awhile about hydro blast versus digging up and replacing the pipes. We agreed to use the hydro blast the next evening. Kim arrived early again and spent nearly 2 hours fixing the problem. He had both the camera and the hydro blast down the pipe enabling us to see the before and after video for each section w/roots. He ended up pulverizing 5 different sections of roots. Awesome. He guarantees I'll be clog free for a year and we both expect I'll be OK for at least 5 years.

Looking for an honest, hard-working, dependable, and trustworthy plumber? Look no further. Having received multiple estimates from others for an ~80 year (?) cast-iron main line sewer clog, Kim saved me thousands of dollars by showing me the fundamental problem wouldn't be fixed by the other's proposed solutions. I will now be scheduling a yearly hydro-jet clean out with Kim: he's earned my business.
