Fubo R.This family business CHEAT! Be aware before you working with this business. I had very bad experience with Richard and his dad. They will lure/pressure you to pay with cash and walk away without doing anything. Don't EVER pay cash to them!
I filed a claim through my home warranty about my leaking faucet. When he got the job and first call me, he said somehow the paperwork sent by my insurance company was not clear, he didn't know what problem I have. I told them that it's the faucet on the wall outside. He sounded excited and helpful by telling me that they will fix it that day, and would help on checking the other faucet and my ceiling fan. Then he started his trick. He pressured me by saying only accept cash, no credit card, no checks accepted. Later, he call me 6 times and left messages to tell me to prepare cash for them. I was very surprised with the cash-only business because it didn't sound right. At the time he and his dad arrived, the first thing they asked about is money in cash. He kept on asking his dad if I paid his dad with cash before he started to check on my leaking. More disgusting is that, after I paid them 100$ cash, they give me a piece of paper as receipt. On the paper, it shows clearly that they can accept credit cards and checked. But they lied numerous times to me saying that they only accept cash. They checked my leaking faucet for less then 5 minutes and started to make a long time call by walking a long distance away from me. It feels that he didn't want me to hear anything about what he or the other side was saying. After that weird call, he told me that he had another appointment to go and will finish the other job and come back to replace my leaking faucets. He even told me that he will replace the other not-so-leaking faucet as well and will check my ceiling fan. How fool am I that I believed his words! So he and his dad left with my 100$ cash without doing anything. Of cause they didn't come back to fix my faucets. They called and told me it is not covered by my insurance.
The trick he cheated me is like this. He knew from the beginning that my faucet won't be covered by my insurance with the paper work sent by my insurance. He pretended he didn't know. He already had another job/appointment at somewhere close to my area. So they need to come to my area anyway. But he and his dad can get another 100$ more cash from me, if they make a stop to my location first. That was why he kept telling me that they will come to my place first and asked me to prepare cash. It sounded that he was treating me with his higher priority , isn't it? At my site, he called my insurance and verified that it's not covered. That is why he walked a long distance away from me when he was on the phone with my insurance. It is because he didn't want me to know that it is not covered before they leave. After his call, he immediately told me that they had to go for another appointment and lied to me that they will come back after that job.
I would never recommend this business based what I experienced.
Alize X.I bought my first home and was devastated three months later to discover that there was a frozen pipe burst that happened while I was at work and flowing water almost all day. Late in the evening, I called D&R Plumbing as referred to me by a good friend and they came through to save me. Their assurance, professionalism, and quality of work was something I was able to count on in a time of need. Thereafter, the communication from the owner and his son was great. They helped me navigate the situation and I am very happy with the service. They are family owned and operated - which is a plus. I highly recommend!
I called for a W/D plumbing. Was shocked when he said $2,000. 2K for about 12 to 15 feet of plumbing? All he had to do was hook the new to the old. He tried to make seem a lot harder that it is. Then he said 2 guys $95 per hour. I said no thanks. He calls back and tired to tell my wife 1 guy at $95. I dont know about these guys
Nick A.We moved into a new house that had a sump pump issue. The original owners hired D&R to put in a new pump when we had issues with a wet basement prior to our closing date. They did a good job and we heard good things about them, so when we purchased a back-up system, we had them install it (for nearly $1500 just for the install as we had purchased the back-up system ourselves). When our sump pump went out six months later and the back-up system started to work, we called D&R to come out and fix/replace the sump pump. They showed up a day later than they had originally said and by then we had about 1/4"" of water in the basement because the back-up system was just pumping the water right outside into the foundation again. They told us the original pump was not under warranty because they hadn't purchased it, but only installed it. $750 on the spot for a new pump and install. Richard told us we had a top of the line pump with a year warranty. Seemed steep to me, but at that time, what choice did we have? Less than year later, that pump started to malfunction and since it was still under warranty, I called D&R again. Again, I was told they would be there Friday afternoon and I told them (after experiencing delays the last time they came) if Friday was going to cut it close, I could make Monday work too. He told me he'd be there Friday. I get a call at 5:30 Friday night he is on his way only to wait an hour for him to show up at 6:30. Luckily we didn't have any plans. Richard told me some debris was caught in the pump and showed me how to remove it, etc to get it working again. I mentioned the pump being under warranty and he tells me that the warranty date on the pump says Feb. 2017, meaning the pump was actually out of warranty even though they installed it in October of 2017 Since we've had issues with this sump system and our water table, I was trying to ask him some questions as to why our pit was filling from the bottom up and really wanted to get at the root of the issue instead of us seemly having to replace a sump pump every year or less. He just kind of blew me off on the questions saying we are probably on a high water table and that's just how it is. He then told me that he'd have to charge a service fee for the visit and joked it was going to be $900. I wasn't laughing. As he left, he told me that next time they'd have to replace the pump and that would cost $250 in labor for them to come out and that they would fight with the pump manufacturer for the warranty. Two days later the pump started acting up again and would run continuously. I did my own troubleshooting as he showed me and it still didn't work. I went online, bought a new pump for $350 and installed it myself a day later. I won't call them again for any plumbing needs. I honestly felt like we were any customer even though we had dropped almost $3000 in business with them
I took the time to make an account to give these guys a good rating that should speak volumes. I was trying to get 2 previous plumbers to my house one missed appointments to show up. The other showed up without confirming auth me what time so i wasn't at home.
Richard was very busy but took the time to call and tell me that and schedule a time to come. He was fast efficient and saved me money. He didn't come out overcharge and leave. He actually worked with the insurance company to save us money. They were wonderful and so helpful. I figure a good review is the last i could do. I'm going to be calling them for any plumbing needs going forward
RJ M.Great company. I needed a new water heater and worked together with Richard who was great throughout the whole process. He professionally addressed all my questions/concerns. They had it all taken care of within 2 days (install, new gas plumbing, removal, disposal). Both the water heater and work performed is of high quality. Highly recommended.
A) when you call someone 3-5 times in a day, and they do not contact you back, that is HARASSMENT. This happened to both my wife and myself.
B) When something is ""fixed"" and a week later it stops working, I would say that it wasn't diagnosed or ""fixed"" correctly.
C) I've never had anyone ask for a ""cash only"" payment to pay warranty deductible. Two other companies took checks. I find this shady that checks or a debit card could not be used for payment.
D) The owner was very condescending to my wife, and I think that's pretty obvious by this response.
James O.Stay away, they are extremely expensive. A 20 minute service call to replace a toilet valve and flapper cost $189. They were very nice and helpful, just way overpriced. I called around after the service and no one else would have charged over $100. I should've gotten an estimate first, but thought they'd be fair and representable of all plumbers in town. I asked for a break down of parts and labor, and the service person told me the $189 is their standard fee for that service, so no breakdown. To top if off, this was a regular call during normal business hours and no overtime, emergency, or weekend service fee was necessary. Also, they had to reschedule my first appointment due to being behind that day, then were an hour late during the second appointment. If you're looking for a reasonable cost, look elsewhere.
Nancy L.This is a family-owned business that treats the customer right, tells you every step of the job along the way, that works hard to get everything done right the first time. Customer satisfaction is a high priority for them and they will work with you until you are satisfied. They did the job right the first time and were very conscientious in their cleanup as well. Highly recommend.
Overpriced service. When our primary sump pump stopped working, we ask how much it will cost to replace one. And the guy quoted us around $850. This is unacceptable and way overpriced. (normally, it costs about ~$300.) I asked why so high, and he said our sump pump's setting is ""unique"" and might require ""additional steps"" to replace it.
Non-senses! I watched a YouTube video and was able to fixed it myself without any ""additional steps"". I would not recommend this company to anyone.
