Read the negative reviews, there's a pattern. We had DR heating work with our homeowners insurance to replace our heater as it was unsafe to use in the home we purchased. At the same time we asked that they replace the a/c as there should have been less labor charge since the heater was already out. We had to call and ask to be scheduled for the heater. It sat in their warehouse for over 4 weeks. When they came to replace it at 5 pm after tear out they notified us they didn't have the lp conversion kit and just now realized they needed it as it was propane, they said they'd be back tomorrow to finish it. Side note, tear out of the a/c is 10ft from a 1000 gallon propane tank. The next day, no one had the part, it had to be overnighted from Ogden. Long story short we went the full days without heat in 10-15 degree weather. They could have drove to Ogden and back quicker than shipping. We bought two space heaters, they brought in 3, that barely kept the house at 55 with our fireplace. It doubled our power costs while we ran those. We work from home, so there was no relief from the cold. DRs office manager Misty showed no empathy, no apologies, and no discounts for the trouble. She blamed the technician, the technician blamed the office. No accountability for the fact had they checked to make sure they had the parts for the job in the 4-6 weeks they had, the job could have been 100% more successful. While they did provide me a breakout on the $2000 in labor for the ac install I have no way of knowing if they disconnect that because half the work was done on the heater removal. DR or Misty didn't even call with their outcome or decision of no discount. They sent it through email. I will not recommend or use DR in the future.

I wish I could give negative stars. I am a single mom, and I felt this company completely took advantage of me. They take zero accountability. When you pay $8k for a new system, you expect some accountability. But in my experience, trying to get them to fix issues with my brand new system has been an absolute headache. Just today the owner called and very condescendingly man-splained my issue without even coming to my house to diagnose it! I had taken off work for the scheduled appointment. Then he threatened to charge a ton if he had to come fix it himself. My house was without heat for two months. I had crazy electric bills from space heaters. They charged for a repair on a system that should have been warranted. It's really really frustrating. I texted him my frustrations...and big surprise...no response!

*EDIT--he finally responded and actually threatened to charge me more for a bill 5 months ago that was already paid! He then proceeded to blame my dad for not bleeding valves right (ummm....isn't that your job?), lied about issues and claimed I'd messed with wiring that I did not mess with, and basically refused to take any accountability. I was in tears from the way he treated me...all because I complained that for what I paid, he should have fixed things and that I felt he was taking advantage of me...

I spoke to another competing plumber tonight and as soon as I mentioned Doug's repair he said ""ooof. Stay away! I can't tell you how many of their mistakes we have to fix.""

I had a clog in my bathtub drain. Doug the plumber came three separate times pushing the clog to different locations in the house. This led to new problems and more money I had to spend. The final time he came in a three week span they said I would have to pay to have cabinets removed in order to cut the pipes out of the wall and fix the clog. I got a second opinion and I'm so glad I did. Within two minutes of the new company being there and just asking a couple questions they knew what the problem was right away. They didn't remove any pipes, walls or cabinets. They simply sent a drain snake down the pipe from the roof. Within 5 minutes the clog was gone and everything was finally fixed. The plumber who came and actually fixed the problem said dougs repair should have known what the problem was right away. Its one of the most common issues and is plumbing 101. Dougs repair got several service call fees out of me along with who knows what the home warranty paid. I almost had to pay for new cabinets for no reason! Would not recommend. To top it off dougs repair came to service my A/C unit. They said everything looks great.... I turned it on and within one day it was completely iced over. save your money, save your time and don't add unnecessary stress. Go with someone else!

DO NOT USE!!! Unbelievable! Incompetent and a waste of time and money! We are busy professionals and know when we need a professional to fix things in our House. We thought that surely Doug's repair could come and install our dishwasher that has stripped mounting in the cabinet. A gentleman came out an hour before he was scheduled to install our dishwasher. Usually a good thing to be early unless you're not there. So that we could get him started, we had our neighbor with a spare key let him into the house to install the dishwasher. When my wife got home an hour later, she passed the repair truck on their way out but they didn't stop to talk to her. She walked in the door, opened the dishwasher to check repair and the screws literally popped off the brackets and the dishwasher fell out of the cabinet. My wife called them back multiple times to come and resolve the problem and they never called back to reschedule. They also continued to invoice us which were disputed, of course because we had my 74 year old retired father-in-law to come and look at the problem. He found that the repairman had placed the installation screws in the same stripped out holes that the dishwasher had fallen out of to begin with. He went and bought two metal brackets and installed the dishwasher himself in 15 minutes and only charged us a Dr. Pepper and we haven't had a problem since. Now, 6 months later Doug's Repair is threatening to send us to collections for the Bill plus late fees. Let them! I have talked to my lawyer and we will be able to file up to $3,000 for damages to my wife's credit.

Warning! DO NOT USE THEM!! I had them go out to fix a repair at one of our rentals. It was a sewer line that was clogged up. After paying $1100, not even 2 weeks later, the clog was back! I reached out to them and of course they just want to go out and do more work and charge me for their incompetent work! I called another company that guaranteed the work for at least 30 days and actually fixed the problem! I would NEVER use this company again!!!

I used Doug's Repair to come and hang art and other items in our new house! Chad was great to worth with and was courteous and kind with our kids and dog running around! I will 100% be calling Doug's Repair for various things around our house!

Doug's Repair is a great company, all of the employees I have met are friendly, professional, and get the job done. They are hard workers and do good work. I have used them for various jobs and have always been happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend !

They installed a new roof on our house 2 years ago. It was installed incorrectly from the beginning (not up to code or manufacturer instructions) and when we brought it up, they simply told us ""That's how we've always done it."" We now have several areas that leak in the winter (an issue we never had before). We have tried to resolve the problem with them for 2 years now, but they refuse to work with us or fix the problem. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Doug's recently framed a wall and sheet rocked it for a remodel I am working on and did an amazing job. They were very friendly and came on time as scheduled.
