Came home from vacation hot water was nonexistent. Explained what was going on and Dowsey booked a time. Service person called verified time and problem. Said sounds familiar easy fix etc.... Was at my house for less than 4 minutes. Stuck a cloths hanger in the outside pipe, hot water came back on. Dirt dobber built a nest in the outside line. Got a bill for full price..... I expect to pay but sometimes something simple doesn't require full price. Word of mouth can hurt and help business won't recommend.

After two visits the air conditioner leak has not been resolve. The only thing they did was spray the coils with 409 cleaner - which did work for awhile. They have not returned phone calls. The bill was very high for what they didn't do.

I was recommended to call Dowsey this summer via my Realtor, who has lived in Baldwin Co. her entire life. I moved from out of State, and took her word that they perform quality work. My disposal had been compromised & the Air Conditioner coil needed cleaning. They took 3 weeks to respond to my phone call. When the workmen arrived they addressed me as Mrs. I explained to them I was newly widowed, to which they laughed. They blew threw the house at lightening speed, said the Air conditioner coil could not be cleaned. They did fix the disposal. I rarely use the disposal , as I have lived on septic most of my life. Suddenly now, 6 months later it is leaking. I called the office to see if it was under warranty. They said No. The secretary then went over my """"bill"""" and what was done. She claimed they worked on the Air conditioner, and that the disposal was not warrantied. It was expensive, un-personable, & the reaction to widow-hood, plainly rude. During the same visit this past Summer I asked for a bid to re-plumb my entire house, as the Home Inspector has sited """"recalled plumbing"""". The bid NEVER arrived, so I hired a Licensed GC. With one phone call to my GC, he said politely this morning they will come out and fix it for me. That's Service! I will never call Dowsey again.

They do great ac work. Called and they were here in 2 hours. Ray and Chris were very knowledgeable and did great work. Very friendly and learned a lot from both of them. I would not hesitate to call them for any ac work , plumbing or sewer work.

This company sucks. DO NOT USE. They came twice to """"fix"""" my heating problem and did not. We spoke to the owner who promised to come personally and never did. I sent letter asking owner to please fix problem or stop sending me bills. Never heard a thing but today got yet another bill with late charges. I filed complaint with BBB.

Two plumbing emergencies over the past couple of years both after hours of course. They were there within the hour, fixed within the next hour. They do charge accordingly but well worth it.
