I was quite pleased with the service I received from Downs Plumbing. After calling out another local company that advertises a lot on the radio, I just didn't feel much of a connection. They advised me against trying to drain my hot water heater, and insisted that getting a new one was the only way to go. I decided to get a second opinion, and I'm glad I did. Downs Plumbing not only was willing to work with me on draining my existing hot water heater (saving me a bundle of money), their prices were better across the board. If you're looking for plumbing help in Pensacola, be sure to put Downs Plumbing on your list!

I rarely ever leave a negative review, but when a company isn't willing to back their service, then I'm inclined to leave a review. Down's Plumbing came out on December 27 for a sewage clog that had backed up water in our home. They informed us in advance, that it would be $622 for a 2 hour minimum charge. The co-owner arrived within 20 minutes and attempted to remove sewage clog, but never checked the other end of the pipe which my wife was concerned about. We did check the toilets and sinks, and everything seemed to flow well. The reason I'm leaving TWO STARS is because He suggested putting a pop up valve on the outside line to prevent further backup clogs from flowing inside our home again, so the backed up water would flow outside through the pop up valve. The piping backed up two weeks after they had come out, and again the sewage backed up two months later, with toilet paper all around the valve. We called and talked to the other owner Larry and we explained why we feel the job wasn't done properly, and it wasn't reasonable to charge a second time for incomplete work. Larry said he would talk to Chad, which he did, and called back and explained they would NOT warranty the work, but are glad to come out and take our money again. What a scam!

I made a very good decision today. I had a bathroom plumbing problem and I called Downs Plumbing! They came the same day I called, knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it. The technician, Ricky, was very efficient as was his helper. The service was great and the price reasonable and I highly recommend Downs.

This company was very unprofessional. Did not call back when they said they would. Did not get backflow test done. We called a month in advance and still our water test did not get done on time. Go somewhere else if you want your backflow water test done.

Had a water pipe break under our big yard tree. We had a water everywhere. Called on Thursday and they squeezed us in the next day. It poured rain but they didn't reschedule. We are so thankful we didn't have to go all weekend with our water turned off! Downs Plumbing and Gas came highly recommended to us by numerous people. They were right. We will definitely know who to call if the need a raises again!

I called this company 3 weeks ago to have a Backflow preventer installed on a sprinkler system and to do the County required inspection. After a week of waiting I called to see if they had a date scheduled. They didn't, but the receptionist said it would be within the week. It's been nearly 3 weeks since my original call and nearly two weeks since my second call and still no one has shown up. I can't judge their competence, how well they would have done the job or how hard they would have worked - because they never showed up. I wouldn't recommend calling this company unless you look forward to doing the work yourself.

We discovered a little fountain of water sprouting in our yard at about 4:30 in the afternoon as we returned home. We turned the water off and called Downs Plumbing. The dispatcher told us they would do their best to get someone out the next day. Rick arrived at about 10:00 the next morning. He had the problem resolved in about 30 minutes. He was courteous, friendly and professional. He replanted the grass in the area that to be dug up in order to complete the repair. Some confusion at first but they stand behind their work. They were fast to reap and do a good job.

This company was very professional from the start. The two men came to my house exactly when I was told they would and didn't drag out the work just to run up the bill. The men worked through a thunderstorm and crawled under my house. When they were finished they cleaned up the area they were working in and the bill was very reasonable. I even received a 5% military discount. I will definitely use them again in the future if I have any other plumbing issues! Thanks to everyone at Downs Plumbing for such great service!

I was highlighted disappointed with the lack of service and customer support by this company. I contacted them a week in advance to schedule a gas safety valve to be installed on my stove in one of my rental properties. I explained I had a tenant who was very restricted on her time availability and needed it to be done on the requested date. I was subsequently contacted by the manager who confirmed the project details and said he would personally complete the work. On the scheduled day, I drove almost an hour to my rental house and no one ever arrived from the company. I called and the customer service support technician said she would look into the matter. She finally told me the manager was tied up on another project and forgot about my installation. The company could not send out anyone else and only offered to have it rescheduled a few days later which wouldn't work due to my tenant's schedule. I was highly disappointed in the company for not only wasting my time to drive to the rental property, but the fact they just completely forgot about it and were never going to call me. I would be very cautious using this company because their customer support is questionable and negligent.
