Joseph's response sounds like the job was done as agreed and a hefty amount was refunded and everyone is happy now. I will correct the fact without exaggeration.

I have confirmed with my tenant that the job was not pre-quoted. The plumber called somewhere after the job and said $555, my tenant was shocked then the guy said it's expensive because it was on a weekend and offered $20 discount. There was NO PRE-QUOTE.
After a call with Joseph, he listened and offered $50 refund. It's free money so why not? But that still doesn't justify $485 rate.

Now I did my google research and think the acceptable fee would be $250 and perhaps $50-75 extra for weekend = $300 ~ $325 total.

I do appreciate Joseph's gesture to refund 10% but his response on satisfaction isn't just correct.

After making an appointment with Downey Plumbing and Heating, a tech arrived a the time frame I was given. Friendly Tech name Marcos was able to look at our ancient heater and after some inspection/diagnostics concluded that it was our ancient thermostat that needed to be replaced. He even spoke with my husband over the phone to explain the issue. Prices are good and services was great. Highly Recommend.

While the comment by Joseph is acting like they were trying to resolve the issue, the person at my house could have cared a less. While the owner laughed in my face while I was trying to explain the situation. I would not have made several phone calls and a trip to the office if I was making this up. Yes, I asked them to leave because I didn't feel a good job would be done.

Upon the review being read by the company I finally got the call i waited foe and resolution.

The afternoon before, our water heater went out and we couldn't get the pilot light to come on. Now we've really had some ""crackerjack characters called rooters or plumbers come out over the years, really gets old. The next morning, for some strong notion and thought, I called Downey plumbing heating & air conditioning. They showed up in twenty minutes to do a diagnostic overview of my heater. The heater water chamber was shot and about four items were below code. Frank and George came up with a recommended heater, and a permanent cure to get everything up to code and additional extended maintenance warranty to boot. Within afew minutes, my wife and myself were offered a quote that we both said yes to, with no discussion. Frank & George, took care of everything and that quote included hauling away the old heater and did a nice cleanup effort. These guys and their company are in sync with each other: very polite, well mannered, work habits showed a sign of professional training & skill for what they did for us, our home, they have earned our trust. For sure, we will be calling on you!

These guys wanted to charge my mother-in-law $869.00 to replace a tub overflow and shower valve stem. My mother-in-law is 78 years old. I thought this was a little high and it was. every other estimate I got was for half of what these guys wanted. Talk about taking advantage of an old lady. Shame on you for such elderly abuse.

Was referred to this Company through an insurance program I had with the Gas Company. My gas line which leads into my house had rotted, which meant a total extensive repair. Tech's Erik and Octavio did a fantastic repair. The job took almost all day and a lot of physical manual labor. They took care in preserving the lawn they had to remove, and totally cleaned up the area before they lift. This is a very professional firm and I totally recommend them.
