After years of using their services, my recent experiences have been far less than satisfactory. My most recent issue is we used them to remove and the replace the toilet and sink during replacing the bathroom floor. When they replaced the sinks they neglected to bolt them to the wall and then proceeded to place them on the pedestal the just caulk them to the walls. When I got home later that evening I was outraged at what they had done. Their employee was either incompetent or uncaring or both. The sinks are unsafe, not up to code and threaten to fall over if you bump them. I am positive they would not appreciate if that was done to them. Then they had the gall to charge an inflated price for this half assessor job. I am so mad I am going to pay to have someone else come to fix it so that I do not have to deal with them any longer.

Called to get an estimate and naturally they said they'd Gabe to come out to check it out to provide an estimate. The kicker here is that they charge $89 just to come to only take a look and provide an estimate.

We just had Samuel and Steve at our house to fix a water leak in our kitchen ceiling. When we first noticed the leak, we thought it was a water pipe in our upstairs bathroom that was causing the leak. However Samuel and Steve checked our water meter and said that we were not losing water and they concluded that it was the wax toilet seal that was leaking. They installed a new toilet seal and did a great job. They were very professional and did a fantastic job.

Downey plumbing did a repipe for us in May of this year after a pipe burst under a bathroom and bedroom . Our insurance adjuster said they would reimburse us for the portion that rerouted around the area of leaks . We paid in full upfront . When the job was complete I ask for for an estimate for the portion of work that the insurance adjuster said they would reimburse us for The owner of Downey plumbing refused to give us an estimate for that portion of work that we would have been reimbursed. The owner basically said I got my money fuck you ! This would have taken no real effort to have priced that portion of work that the insurance adjuster had agreed to reimburse us for if Downey would give an estimate for that portion . There was absolutely NO EXCUSE for the OWNER of Downey to basically tell us to get fucked I don't care if you get reimbursed for what you are owed . Anyone should consider this before hiring Downey .

I had to use this company in the past because of my insurance (i.e. the insurance has a contract with them). I had such a bad experience, a terrible one indeed, with them, that I asked the insurance to NEVER send them again. However, I had an emergency last week and because of situation I accepted them. My experience with the company again confirmed by previous opinion (a very negative one).
I would avoid them at all cost.

I have been dealing with Downey Plumbing and Heating & Air Conditioning company for the last 15 years or so and their technicians are very knowledgeable in their craft. My AC went out on me July 11th, 2023 and Juan showed up to diagnose the issue and as the AC ran....the fan just kept shutting off.

-- Now this unit is an old 5 ton Westinghouse and was installed at my home in the early 1970's so it had run its course. Juan suggested for me to replace the unit because it would be hard just to track/obtain replacement parts for this 53 year old unit. He stated that they have financing plans to pay for it which it is a service they provide; well I had no idea this was available or possible and took his suggestion. He gave me a quote for a new 5 ton AC unit and alerted the office that I would be coming in to do the paper work. Showed up to the office early next day and within 30 minutes I was good to go.

On July 18th the new 5 ton AC unit arrived and Juan and Jonathan were ready for the 2 day install.....I can tell you that these two guys were in sync with a perfectly executable plan to remove the old and to put the new one in within the promised 2 day work to which those days were at 92+ degrees outside so you can imagine how hot the attic was.

My wife and I are very pleased with reaping the benefits of coolness now thanks to Juan and Jonathans awesome work. I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for great service.

P.S. my in-laws and sister in-law use them too and are quite happy with their service.
