I live in a mobile home, and my hot water heater broke. After being told that the water heaters need specific modifications for mobile homes, as well as there being water heaters that were specifically designed for mobile homes. I went to Sears, and had a bunch of other quotes, I decided to go with Down the Drain because they were the lowest quote. Not only was my water heater replaced at the lowest cost, they added piping to make it up to code!
They went above and beyond! I would recommend them to anyone.

Down the Drain was recommended to us for a severe clogged toilet issue which resulted in replacing some piping to resolve the issue. Martin did a great job and everything now works perfectly. Several other plumbers wanted to charge us for an unnecessary camera inspection or to remove the toilet which wouldn't have solved the problem. Martin was willing and able to diagnose the issue right from the start and complete the work quickly. He's on time, professional, reasonably priced and proactive. We'll definitely be using him again.

He was available for our new water heater installation on this Labor Day. He did a great job. He is very friendly & professional. I placed a couple of calls to other plumbers & left message, but none of them returned my call. He was the only one who answered my call. His fee was very reasonable. I contacted Down The Drain Plumbing via Home Advisor. He arrived on time to get an idea of what I needed for the bathroom shower on/off operation. He checked everything out and said I didn't really need anything at this time. He offered to replace some fixtures, so the bathroom would match. I declined at this time, but would certainty recommend him to friends and neighbors.
By the way, Martin did not charge me anything.

Martin was able to come to our house quickly and efficiently and fix our clogged kitchen sink. He worked with my schedule and arrived at the exact time that he said he would. He was polite, respectful and efficient in his work. He quoted me $85 before he came out and that is what he charged when the work was done. My toilet always gets clogged and, after today's ""session,"" the plunger just didn't work anymore. (I don't blame it) So, I messaged several local plumbers on Yelp (after 5pm) and Martin quickly agreed to come over and take care of us.

He quoted $150 to clear main line if toilet didn't have to be removed. He used a snake to clear a clog about 6' from toilet and said there were a few wipes stuck inside. I'm no plumber so I'm not so sure the work substantiated the $150 charge. Nonetheless, he got the job done quickly, politely, and with late-notice.

I like to support small, local businesses like Down the Drain Plumbing and I'm happy to help him (and fellow consumers) out with this information.

I'm bummed that I didn't speak up and request the Yelp discount mentioned on his page. However, I DID contact him through yelp. Closed mouths don't get fed!

UPDATE: He is giving me a bigger discount on my next service call.

There must be something with my home and holidays because I had a toilet leak and Martin came to my rescue once again on Christmas Eve Eve. He proved to once again be professional, punctual and proficient.

I contacted this business establishment for a quote and Martin responded quickly and requested to see the problem leak to give a concise estimate. He started looking for the exact type of valve for the hot water line for the washer on 3 different store and could not find any replacement valve. He advised me that the whole box need to be replace. He is willing to do the job right away, highly recommend him.
