Doug's Service Company offers heating solutions, A/C, pipe services, electrical work, cooling systems, and generator to local businesses and families in the Thibodaux area, Lafourche Parish, LA, and nearby regions.

Doug Tauzin established Doug's in 1988, running a solo truck company for over a decade. In 2005, Doug and his son, Jeff decided to grow the company into a top provider in the industry with more than twenty units for service. Doug's is dedicated to recruiting skilled professionals and training them so they can flourish and progress with the Doug's crew.

One Star is too high but I wanted the yellow colored star to standout. Terrible experience and I'll begin with encouraging you to not use them and if you do, get a second opinion. Dougs has a service agreement for my 92 year old dad's house generator. It started coming on and off for no reason so he called for service. The technician (with the help of a Sr. Staff member on the phone) told my dad he needed a new control panel box and the cost would be around $3600. Due to this cost, he also suggested my dad consider replacing the entire generator (i am sure over 20K). A friend of the family came over and suggested we get another opinion as even if the control panel is bad, it is far below the cost of 3600 (we saw some on the internet under $1K). The second company came over and the final diagnosis was it needed a new battery - YES!! Just a new battery. Further diagnosis showed too much oil in the generator and the wrong spark plugs (all previous service was by Doug's ever since it was installed years ago). New battery, new plugs, adjusted oil level and she is good as new - total cost - Under $500. Sorry, but i find this near criminal, seemingly trying to take advantage of a Sr. Person.
I called the company and the GM was ""on the phone"" so the call with the receptionist was recorded (by them and i hope they listen to it) and i was told he would call me back. No call back a day later. I don't live there, but be aware of this - like a recent reviewer noted, ""not the Doug's Service company we used to know"" since they sold out.

Complete fraudulent company. Service call-Rent house #1, 9 year old unit: they said we needed a new one. We bought a new one.
Service call-Rent house #2, 5 year old unit: they said we needed a new one. I got smart and called another company. Sure enough, the other company changed out the power board which was under warranty and it didn't cost a thing. We also have a ""Preferred Membership"" (with Doug's) on these houses which we are supposed to get annual maintenance, no overtime fees etc. However, they do not honor the program, they did charge overtime fees and we have never had anyone call for a scheduled maintenance. To top it off, nobody will call back if you have a complaint and because they had my debit account info for a completely different house, they were able to take money out of my account to pay the bill I was trying to dispute. So my advise-Use a more reputable company that cares about service.

Very upset. Called last Wednesday to set up a service call and was told someone would get back to me as their service route had changed. No one called me back! My family spent a huge amt. of money with this co. and when I called again today for the yearly check up according to the ""club"" that I was encouraged to join I was told that they no longer service my area! Really!!! SO no one was going to be bothered to call?? Just recently spent over $1,000.00 for repair on a part and paid extra for the warranty and even asked the tech at that time if he would do the annual ck. Was told it would be best to wait till it was due in August. This is no way to do business! Sorry I ever referred anyone to you.

Not the Doug's Service Company we used to know and could depend on. 3 weeks to repair the system. Wrong diagnosis of the AC system. Over a week of delays caused by employee vacations. Called several times and told a return call would be made which wasn't. Unacceptable from a Service Company like Doug's

(2019) Disappointed in Doug's Service Company's incredibly inflated plumbing bill. Overpriced! (2020 update) Last year, I expressed how inflated Dougs Plumbing bill was. This was in a rental. Well the tenants just told us, ""Water has been seeping under the floor where that toilet was 'repaired."" Hubby, who finally has some vacation, went to Thibodaux to check it out. Apparently the ""Master Plumber"" didn't want to repair the flange last year. He simply added a wax ring - didn't remove the other wax ring. That's what I was charged $366 for - a wax ring.
The floor was 2 years old. Hubby had to replace that. I'd love to put a pic of his beautiful work, but don't want it mistaken as work by Doug.
I attempted to upload pictures of the shoddy work. Not sure where they went. Be sure, I'll post them somewhere.
Doug's plumber for this particular job was not Master Plumber work.
And, as a landlord, I'm very aware of plumbing prices. I continue to state, ""OVERPRICED!""

Excellent service!! I came home from a long day at work to find my A/C not working. I called Doug's and they were at my door within an hour. Dallas was very professional and courteous. Within a few minutes he had my A/C working again. Dallas informed me they also do electrical and plumbing which was great to know. They will definitely be my go-to company from now on!

Great service Mr Blanchard came when he said he would be here to do the job. I told him the job would be more than just a clean out because water started coming out the wall. He looked at the problem said I need to go get parts. He went get the parts and cleaned out the clog and changed the bad pipes and tested his work. Big problem solved.

We are replacing our whirlpool tub. Called Doug's for a plumbing estimate. Plumbing is a new part of Doug's Services. 2 young men came by and did a very thorough review of our job. We were told that an estimate would be emailed shortly. After waiting over a wk, my husband made 3 attempts to contact someone regarding the estimate. Thus was a labor only estimate as we were providing new tub & fixtures. Waiting another wk, NO ONE has returned our calls nor was an estimate sent. Seems like there are major issues with their plumbing services

The technicians are all very personable and patient. I have had frustrating issues with my unit, but not the service!!!

I do not recommended Doug's a/c. Everything was good until I had new roof installed only two monthes after a/c . A/C line was ran directly against roof. Their reply ""well normally roof is installed before a/c and it will cost $1,000 to fix"" so if hurricane or something comes through and you need a new
roof it can't be installed because they will nail through line that is directly ran against roof? I had talked to several different roofers and a/c ppl and they have NEVER heard of such an incendent. All a/c pipes have always been ran at least 6 inches below roof not right up against it as so when a new roof is installed pipes are not affected. They will not own up to their mistake and at least cut bill in half because a/c was installed improperly, instead all I keep hearing is contact our attorney. And for this $1,000 bill I paid to Doug's to fix thier mistake, they didn't even install new pipe instead they patched old pipe and again installed pipes right against roof...so let's hope, I don't get a hurricane cuz I won't be able to get roof fixed with a/c line right against it. Instead I'll have to pay yet again for some one to rerun it right so I can even fix roof??? That's some messed up stuff considering we paid over 10 grand for new a/c units.
