I had what turned out to be a minor set of plumbing problems, but the symptoms seemed pretty major. I finally got a recommendation leading me to Doug's Low Cost Plumbing (after calling several plumbing companies advertising as 'Servicing Idyllwild' only to learn that they didn't in fact). Doug and his associate DeWayne came up the same day. I was extremely impressed by their efficiency and knowledge as they systematically diagnosed the problems, starting with the minimal fixes first. I've been in situations where plumbers start off recommending major (and, it turned out, unnecessary, and of course, costly) repairs or replacements, but Doug's has a different approach. They fixed the problems quickly and completely, and what is important to me, with thorough explanations of what they were doing and why. My plumbing calls in Idyllwild will in the future only be to Doug's Low Cost Plumbing.

My mom and I woke up Monday morning to low water pressure thinking something was going on with the water company. We figured out right away there was a leak somewhere. My mom called about 10am and Doug's Low Cost Plumbing came within a couple hours same day and told us what was going on. Him and his guys came out the next day at 7am and worked 12 hours to make sure this was done right and completed, replacing 140ft of galvanized pipe with copper pipe. (Mind you this was original pipeline needing replaced from the 70's.) He also showed my mom how to turn off the main. I can't thank them enough for the work they did so fast, efficiently, and neatly. The most amazing plumber we have ever had the privilege of using. Super fast on quotes, responding and giving us information. Installed a tank less water heating system and did such and incredible job, fast, thourough, best price and just honest. We then hired him to put in a whole home water filtration system and he fixed a couple things for free. So highly recommend Doug our one and only plumber now.
