Absolutely horrific company. Plumbers are not professional. Extremely expensive. Dishonest invoicing practices. Called 2 times to follow up to an inspection and they never responded. Glad I completed with a different company.

Top notch plumbing company. Always on time and always have done a good job for me. Will continue to use and highly recommend them.

Very professional stuff. I shopped for a company that would work with me and the associating I live at (quite a mission) -- staff was very patient and helpful. That said, the gentleman that worked at our place was great. Prices are fair and work is great.

The worst experience and it's not about the money. They do not stick to any appointment time.. did not call to say there was a delay. After booking an appointment 5 days in advance and taking the time off from work I had to call and ask why no one has shown up as yet and the answer. """" can we reschedule you to tomorrow"""" ....'Hell No!' are you going to write me a paycheck! They do not respect their customers at all.

Called afterhours, Sunday, and followed prompts for emergency and left a message, was quickly called back and the person gave me good information and quote, I agreed and she put me in the queue, two or three were ahead of me so took about 4-5 hours, Ryan called on his way and again when he got there. He explained all my options and we agreed on what work to do for now to stop the leak. Took about an hour and cost was very reasonable considering work on Sunday. My second time using Douglas Orr and will use again for sure. I highly recommend them.

Great experience with Douglas Orr. They were reliable and quick to respond. Nathan came to the apartment and he did a terrific job. He is professional and knows what he's talking about. The only con I have about Douglas Orr is they charge $160 just to come and inspect. I would prefer a lesser rate, and then an incremental charge based on the work that needs to be done. In my case, it turned out that he just needed to adjust my faucet to fix a leak. Either way, I would use them again because it's hard to find a technician who has the right skills to do the job.

Used Douglas Orr plumbing by way of Home Depot for water heater replacement in a condo. Mary Jo at the Douglas Orr Home Depot desk was great. Responsive, knowledgeable, and courteous - starting with the positive. The technician was on time, friendly, and finished in a reasonable amount of time. Before he finished, he asked wether i had a """"good AC guy"""". When i inquired why, he said he disconnected my AC hose but couldn't reconnect it. Said it was rusted. My AC is 3years new. So I had hot water but no AC . Useless in Miami at this time of year. 1day and $225 later AC Hose was replaced only to come home to a leak and an overflowing drain pan. The tech did not cap the hose that was running into the drain line which was shared with the AC. When I called him, he asked if my AC guys were still there. It was insulting. Then he said he """"didn't know they were sharing a line"""". Who's the plumber ....? Once again, Mary Jo sent someone immediately to cap the hose which fixed the issue. It cost more money, time and frustration at the end. Why is it so hard to find people who take pride in what they do and have respect for your $$$? I sent the invoice for my AC Hose and a message to MaryJo hoping to possibly recoup that unnecessary cost. Wish me luck. It's unfortunate that this is common practice in Miami. Everyone wants to charge you big $$$ but skimp on the quality and blame COVID...

I called Douglas Orr because of a possible water leak between my condominium unit and the one directly beneath. They were aware that the task was to determine the source of the leak to see IF it was my responsibility to pay for the repairs in my neighbor's condominium. The plumber arrived on time and within five minutes said that he did not see any issue in my unit. The president of the home owner's association and the handyman they hired had also arrived at the same time and were on site. Since nothing was apparent in my condo, all three men went to the unit below so that the handyman could cut the ceiling and the plumber could make an assessment. About ten minutes later the Douglas Orr plumber came upstairs and stated that the leak was not coming from my unit but a pipe seal between the two units. My immediate response to his diagnosis was that the repairs were no longer my responsibility but that of the home owner's association. At that point he began hemming and hawing and saying that the pipe was still part of my unit. I was not sure why he was acting that way until later. Anyway, he then left my unit and I expected him to return with the paperwork for the service call. Nearly two hours passed and I heard work going on in the other unit. I was not alarmed because the handyman for the association was expected to be making the repairs, to both the pipe and the ceiling. However, when the Douglas Orr plumber did not return I wondered if he had settled the bill with the H.O.A. president and left. Just to be sure, I went downstairs and asked the neighbor if the Douglas Orr plumber was still there. I was surprised when he said yes, and I asked that he step outside. The plumber came out covered in drywall and goodness knows what else because he had been making the repairs - WITHOUT AN ESTIMATE OR MY CONSENT. I asked if he understood that the repairs were the responsibility of the H.O.A. and he said yes, and that it was 'good for me' that I wouldn't have to pay. Yet an hour later he sauntered into my unit with the bill and said that it was company policy that I pay it in full! I reiterated what he had acknowledged only an hour earlier and pointed out that he had not come back to me with an estimate or gained my authorization, either verbally or in writing. He insisted that it was policy and called his office. The woman on the phone explained further about how it was company policy that the person who makes the call pay for the charges, and that they do not interfere with condominium owners and the H.O.A. I asked if I could at least submit the invoice to the H.O.A. so that it could be reviewed for reimbursement. I even said that if the H.O.A. ultimately refused to pay, I would be willing to take up the cost myself, but she refused. She kept repeating that they had done nothing wrong because to call them IS to expect them to do the job. Worse still, she said that they never give their clients estimates beforehand. Who does that? Well guess what, a service call is not equivalent to doing a high value repair IN SOMEONE ELSE'S HOME WITHOUT ANYONE'S PERMISSION. Finally, I had to let them run my credit card just to get the plumber out of my house. At that point he even joked that if he wanted, he could have escalated the charges to over $1,000 and that I would still have to pay! After he left, I spoke with the H.O.A. president and he said that the plumber sent the association's handyman away in order to do the job himself and collect afterward. No wonder the plumber was trying to assign blame for the leak on my unit. I called the Douglass Orr office once more and asked for a refund because they had essentially forced my hand - but to no avail. The woman then said that she would have her boss call me the next morning to sort the matter out but he didn't bother. Though I provided her with two phone numbers, I didn't get so much as a message. The actions of this plumber and this company are dishonest and untenable. I am so disappointed and cannot recommend them to anyone. Update: after seeing my review on Angie's List and the dispute I filed through the credit card company, I was finally contacted by a Mr. Berounsky from Douglas Orr. He made absolutely no apologies for the actions of the plumber or their dishonest policy, but after a lot of back and forth offered a mere $100 refund out of $480.75. Months later, I have finally received not $100, but $90 in return, leaving me with a charge of $390.75 to which I did not, and do not, agree.

horrible job, not honest . Stay away from this company. I was charged on two visits nearly $800 of labor to fix a leak in my bathtub . Leak not fixed nor diagnosed . They wasted time going back and forth to truck to get tools , wasted time with malfunctioning tools .This company is about racking up hours of labor , not fixing problems . It is scam . charged me near hour of labor to write up estimate to replace tub but never gave me estimate . Called 5 times in week, always"""" we will get back to you by end of day"""". But they never get back to you .

Last week we got a water bill that was 9 times what we pay monthly. Water and Sewer said we needed to have leak detection done on our property. We called Douglas Orr Plumbing. When the came out , their Team was professional and skilled. Their pricing was fair and their report is helping us navigate the over-charge. We highly recommend them.
