Recommended Customer Reviews

Needed kitchen sink, dishwasher & disposal hookup. Got quick appointment, they were on time and even hurried to help me out! Staff friendly and thorough, testing all the work before leaving. I would recommend them!

Install work was first class! Fast, efficient, and high-quality. Above and beyond. Completed in half the expected time.

I am so impressed with Doug Hambels plumbing. Not only did they help with one leak, but two!! They were prompt, courteous and very efficient. Many thanks to his crew for making these problems go away.

This firm came highly recommended to me and I've used them once before, but NEVER again. The main reason is that I live on the southern end of the county which they serve and they decided to tack on an extra 30 minutes of """"travel time"""" to the one hour of labor that was required to complete the job. I called the main office to complain but received no satisfaction. I believe a firm that has several trucks on the road has no justifiable reason to charge a """"travel"""" fee for anyone residing within their service area. At the very least if they are insistent in charging a very non-standard fee they should have the courtesy of informing the customer of any extra charge while the appointment is being made. Doug Hambel's plumbing may very well have a good reputation but beware of the unscrupulous nickle and diming they surprise their customers with. For the previous small job I had them do, they did not charge this """"travel fee"""" which is why I am particularly dumbfounded by this action.

I had a very upsetting experience with this business. The technician was very unprofessional (making several political statements as he spoke), and the company did nothing to stand by the integrity of the hot water heater they had installed after it broke and needed to be replaced, just after 2 years from when a Hambel technician initially installed it. I was charged full price for a new hot water heater and none of the labor costs were offset for a hot water heater they had sold us that was clearly defective. While the technician was still at my home, I spoke to Mrs. Hambel, who refused to come to any sort of compromise to help offset some of the charges or offer anything to make me feel as though I might be a valued customer. Instead, Mrs. Hambel immediately called the technician when I got off the phone with her, and told him to get payment from me before doing any work. Because I was in a bind, I paid the technician. Before he left, he smoked a cigarette in my garage and put the cigarette out on my garage floor. This is a company that lacks integrity and one that has no problem (because in the end it is your problem) with selling and installing inferior products and then charging you full price and labor to then sell you a new replacement a couple years down the road.

Doug Hambel plumbing did the plumbing in our house so I called them with an emergency of a burst pipe in the wall at my office the girl who answered the phone said they had no availability and wouldn't until at least Monday. This is Friday. She advised I shut the valve off but in the mean time my walls are wet we can't shut the water off and she was like there's nothing I can do. I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone

My home developed an active plumbing leak on Aug 3. The leak was on the hot water side (large leak), and cold water side (lesser leak). I had to turn off the main water supply to the house except for very brief periods of time to take a cold shower or use the bathroom (I had to leave the water supply to the tankless hot water heater turned off). I called Hambel Plumbing on Tuesday, Aug 6 to provide a quote to re-plumb the entire house. They arrived that afternoon, did a quick walk through, wrote down some things, and said the manager (or boss man) would get back in touch with me with an estimate. I have never heard back from them since, and that has been almost 2 weeks ago. Mind you, I had an active plumbing leak (in the slab of the home) and was not able to use my water (except for the cold water for very brief periods of time and at the expense of incurring further leaking).

Yesterday our water meter was hit by lightning. After speaking to the city, they said if it was on our side of the meter, it would be our responsibility. We have used Hambel's for two other issues, so they were my first call. They were able to line up a technician for first thing this morning. The technician arrived earlier than expected and fixed the issue. They were professional and the follow-up and follow through was amazing.

So I had an after hours issue that required us to shut off the water to our entire house, unfortunately we had to call the only company that """"handles"""" after hour emergencies. The short version is this, the issue never got fixed and that company is a big waste of time. Upon the recommendation of a coworker, I called this company. I understood that with the hurricane there might be a bit of a delay. But I was so grateful that I was able to get a technician to come out to my house and fix the issue after over a week of no water. It took the tech less than 10 minutes to fix the problem that the other company wanted to break my wall to """"fix"""". I'm so happy that we finally found a good plumbing company and not one that specializes in yanking a chain.

They did the plumbing in my house when the kitchen was remodeled one year ago. The plumbing under the sink is leaking significantly at this point. I called to see if they would warrant their work after a year and was told it is only a 60 day warranty. I'm sorry, but I would expect my plumber to warrant the work more than 60 days. If they only expect their work to be good for two months after installation, I guess I need a different plumber. This is ridculous and very disappointing. I would find someone who has more confidence in their work before I used them.
