I had a great experience with Dorr Plumbing, not only working with Yuni on the phone, but also a great technician that came to install my new water softener. The installation turned into a major hassle for a variety of reasons having nothing to do with Dorr, but they kept the price reasonable despite putting additional hours into dealing with a more complicated installation situation than they'd bargained for. I'll happily call them next time!

I needed a new water heater after my old one was trashed by a sewer backup in my basement. I called Dorr and their price was about half of what I'd been quoted by another plumbing contractor. I set up an appointment, and the plumber, Dave, arrived right on time with the new heater and everything he needed to do the swap. He had an associate stop for a few minutes to help bring the new heater down a tricky staircase, and take away the old. In less than two hours, the job was done in a workmanlike manner. Except for the shiny new water heater, you couldn't tell he had been there. I would call Dorr Plumbing next time I need a plumber.

This company charged me $300 to replace a shut off valve on a water heater. Pretty simple. $12 valve. After completing the work, I suddenly had a gas leak on the water heater. They charged me another $140 to fix the leak that they created. I would never use these guys again. Terrible. $450 to fix a simple problem.

Bob Dorr has been doing work for me when i needed plumbing work for the past 45 years and now after he has retired it looks like his son and his team are continuing the same quality service.
After 51 years of faithful service my heating boiler needed replacing. I called Bob Dorr Plumbing and had them come out to give me a quotation. Our conversation about the type and size of the new boiler was very informative and after receiving the quotation I scheduled the work for the next week. They ordered the boiler and showed up at the scheduled time ready to go to work.
Now comes the Woohoo part. The team of three worked so smoothly together they had the old boiler out of the basement and the new one in and running in less than one day. And they put features on this boiler that I didn't have with the old one.

Scheduled an appointment and worked my whole day around their ""window"" arrival time. While changing my son's diaper my phone was ringing. It was them. Called them right back but nobody answered. Called back again and the plumber told me since I wasn't home he re-routed and would not be able to get to me until about 4:30 or so. They were supposed to be at my house between 12-3. I said that was a little late, but call me when your done, if we had to reschedule we would...no call ever came. If this was my employee I would be livid! Not the way to treat a customer.

We are new to the area and have twice had the need for a plumber. We are naturally skeptical and susicious about the service we receive. On both occasions we were exceptionally delighted with their response and honest feedback. The first call was to fix our water heater. Bob's crew said the defective part was under warranty. There is no way I could have known that. However, they did. But it goes beyond their honesty. They do the job right and quickly. I will be using Bob Dorr plumbing for as long as I live in this area.
