Doodyman also tried to rip me off by quoting an insane amount for a job...luckily I asked around and the other contractor quoted me a reasonable amount and said I was getting ripped off when I told them the original quote from Doodyman.

Please do not let this company continue to rip off consumers! Send your complaints to the Consumer Frauds Department in NYC...here is the website:

Had a clogged drain called up got a price and was told someone would be there in a half an hour. 30 minutes later guy shows up clears the drain and is on his way in no time for the price quoted no surprise extras.

We called them at 8:00 AM and they had a plumber at our house by 10:00 AM that same day. Augusto was very polite and neat and cleared the drain right away. We highly recommend them if your drain needs to be unclothed. Maryanne, who answered the phone, was also very helpful.

I called this plumbing company because I had an issue with my toilet flushing. I called early in the morning and they were at my house in 2 hours. My plumber Lauro was so kind and did a phenomenal job, he was so kind and explained everything in a way that I understood. My toilet is now fixed and working perfectly. The cost for the visit was definitely worth the price I paid for the labor that was received. I am so happy I found this company that I can call when things are broken and I will definitely be using them again. I will be spreading the word of how phenomenal they are.

Our water line was corroded and leaking water up onto the sidewalk. They came and fixed it. Their guys were very professional very neat and clean with the work cleaned up afterwards and everything. I would recommend them to anybody who has a problem with their water lines or sewer pipes. The price was very reasonable compared to other estimates I got.

Horrible experience!! The guy they sent was rude and inappropriate. He commented a few times about my mother not speaking English, then he went on to say I need clean up all the feces he left after he was finished. He made crude remarks and left my house and stairs with drops of feces. When I asked him who's supposed to clean it, he said ""you can clean it, you should get used it, it's life"". He charged $1500 claiming that our pump was broken which wasn't, but since we don't know plumbing and need it fixed, he just ripped us off. I called the company 3 times and have not heard from anyone. Never again will I use them.

Doodyman tried to con me into a $6000 job. Another company saved me from making that mistake.

I had a clog between my trap and the main sewer line in the street. I called Doodyman and they came out. It was $150 to snake it out. They snaked the line out to 27 feet then said they couldn't get any further. They went outside and measured out from where the trap was and showed me that the problem was out near my sidewalk so it would be my problem, not the towns. They told me they could run a camera down the line to see what's up for an extra $350. I said that's a lot. They called the office and said they would do the camera for $250. After running the camera they told me that I had a collapsed pipe. They told me if I wanted to use them it would be about $4000 to replace just that section of pipe or $6000 to replace the trap and all the pipe to the street. I said I'd get back to them about that. I paid the $400 that I owed them for their ""attempt"" to snake and run the camera.

I wanted to get a second opinion. I would put their name here but I don't want to be accused of being a fake review trying to promote a competitor. They arrived and as they were snaking asked me, how far until Doodyman had problems?. I told them 27 feet. His response was I'm already at 32 feet without a problem. He got to 48 feet before hitting resistance. He pulled the snake back and removed some roots from the end of the snake. He ran it down the line again and got to 53 feet which was in the sewer line in the middle of the street. It was $250 for that snaking that actually worked. When I asked him what the cost would be to do a full line replacement, had I actually had a problem, he said about $4300.

This leaves me with one of three conclusions:
The Doodyman employees they sent out were incompetent.
The equipment Doodyman uses is subpar and unable to do the job.
They were trying to con me into a much bigger job that I didn't need.

I went to the Doodyman office in Elmont to request a refund of the $400 dollars I paid. The woman I spoke with said they needed to talk to the foreman of the job and review the camera footage and call me back before the end of the day. They did not. I called again 5 days later. They said they still had not reviewed the footage with the foreman. BS.

So my best advice I have for you is to avoid Doodyman.

We used this company about 25 years ago and they were able to seal a crack in our sewer pipe. I recently have been having problems with my sewer line and they came and assessed the situation and were back the next day to dig up and fix my sewer pipe. They did not have to touch my concrete and did a great job! I was expecting it to be a mess but Nolo and his crew left everything neat and clean! I would definitely recommend this company if you ever need this job done on your house!

I am not sure of the value in relation to the work done ($2,200 for snaking our sewer line and replacement of a rusting trap on Labor Day) but Agusto Cifuentes was informative, worked hard, cleaned up after after the job and seemed to do a very good job. The 3 year warranty gave us some assurances that the work done was correct.
