Horrible. AVOID.

Bad smell coming from drain in bathroom.

Donny insisted we needed a "smoke bomb test" to find the leak.

This consisted of pumping smoke from a $10 smoke bombs through the sewer system to find a leak.

Toilet seals were leaking. Great! Problem solved, right?

Wrong.

After charging us $750 for the run around...

the toilets were incorrectly reinstalled... wobbly and leaking.

And the original problem of shower drain odor still exists.

His solution "pour some bleach down the drain"

Wow. So helpful!

I have used Donny for all my plumbing needs for more than 15 years (on two 4,000 sqft homes). I would never think of using anyone else. The reason is I have observed plumbers over the years from several well known large plumbing companies. Some are OK, some not so much. Donny is without question the most capable plumber I know. He has replaced water heaters (with shut off valves) , disposals, upgraded flex lines, replaced kitchen sink faucets ( we like Groehe) commodes (we like Toto Handicap) repaired shower and bath leaky faucets, and several times come quickly - like the time a 25 year old commode flange failed. Donny is a first rate, quality conscious plumber. I cannot imagine him using anything but the best parts and products available ( always suggesting what he thinks is the best based upon field experience, and I have been quite pleased with those suggestions). I certainly can't imagine Donny using anything from a Big Box store (unless the customer insisted) as his sources are all plumbing supply companies.
His pricing has always been absolutely fair and he stands behind his work. If you need a fine plumber, call Donny.

I wish I could give him 0 stars. We had a "new" hot water heater installed as a preventative measure near the end of 2012. We were told that he would pick it up from Lowe's and install it for us with an emergency shut off valve if a leak is detected in the future. Fast forward to today... The valve was activated and we have no hot water.

We called a different plumber because we let Donny go after hiring him for a slab leak. He pressured us to pay out of pocket when the insurance company was going to send him a check. Additionally, he would only use his leak locator for that job. His leak locator was unable to find a leak and charged us for several hours. We called a different leak locator who found the leak in an hour, and Donny refused to do the job until we hired his referral back only to have him charge us by the hour and not do the job. So we were not willing to continue working with either of them.

I digress, the new plumber addressing the water heater informed us that the water heater Donny installed was manufactured in 2009. He notified us that it appeared to be used and, in fact, needs to be replaced. The water heater should be just over 2 years old. He installed a defective/used water heater and charged us for a new one.

We went to Lowe's to check current prices and asked about the manufacture dates. The water heaters we looked at were one week old despite being shipped from Georgia. There is no reason for him to install a water heater that was already 3 years old... Let alone used. He is very shady and unethical. I would strongly advise against using his services.
