Charlie, Paul and Pace are all highly skilled at their trade.. they are busy because of high demand for their services, but certainly worth bringing them in for a job !

Save yourself money time and aggravation, worst plumbing experience ever.
They did a job for me, less than a year ago, the piece they installed was broken contacted them over four times less than a week ago, never returned my phone calls, called them from a different phone number gave me the run around. They should be out of business for the poor service and overpricing, dishonest. Beyond disgusted and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau

Use caution dealing with this business! I had requested services for a property and left VM asking that the owner return my call. Unknown to me, Donner came out to the property the very next day and replaced an instant hot water dispenser. Wonderful right? Not so! He charged $445 for a $298 Insinkerator hot water dispenser. His hourly rate was pretty high too $130 per hour. He charged 2 hours to do this job?? No other parts or problems reported, just replacing the dispenser. I am not a plumber but this sounded way off to me. After speaking to the owner directly there was no satisfaction even after explaining that the price of the dispenser at too local plumbing supply companies was $298. He was very defensive and I was suppose to be happy he came out so quickly! This wasn't an emergency and never expressed as one. Not calling me with a quote was actually clever on his part! The current resident allowed him into the property but it was unknown to me so I wasn't present.
My advice, get a quote from this business first and be present for the job!

Charlie and his crew do great work! The job was done quickly (moving laundry service from basement to 2nd floor) and professionally,no mess left behind even did ALOT of extra work without a hitch.also nice people to do business with,highly recommended from here,Jason and family

First call is to fix the toilet clog that makes the basement smelly. They did not have the tool to do the work and sub-contact other company which have availability issue and delayed few days. All the tenants suffered and complained. The problem is NOT completely solved. Thus leads to the second call. The plumber went to the house and did the work without letting us know first the cost.

Last winter when our very old oil heater broke during one of the coldest day of winter, we were lucky to have Donners helped us installed a new gas heating system. Due to the extreme cold weather (you remembered), they worked long hours to help us installed the new system before our pipes froze over. They did a great job in such short notice, we were able to get our heat back in couple of days. Donners is not the cheapest plumbing company in town, but they sure are reliable. For something so important, you can't go wrong with them.

Absolutely 5-star rating!! Donners has re-plumbed most of my house. Over the past 7 years they've put in 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, updated/moved my furnace, added heat to my basement and dealt with frozen pipes - in addition to updating the plumbing of this 100yo house when we moved in. The work they do is careful, organized, thought-through with a mind to lasting and labeled clearly. They've been consistently professional, friendly, time-conscious, honest, trustworthy and helpful. Charlie and his team have always answered my questions and patiently discussed the options with me. Anyone I've recommended them to has thanked me and used them again - even contractor friends. I'm always grateful to have their number because I can count on them. Thank you Donners!!!

I got Donners Mechanical's contact information from Republic Plumbing Supply. I was looking for a local company (Allston/Brighton). My tenant's steam boiler went out at 7pm before the Jan 27, 2015 blizzard, talk about bad luck.

I waited until after the storm to contact a plumber. I tried Boston Standard, they said they were booked during the storm and had to decline to come out unless it was an emergency.

They charged me $135 for them to diagnose the problem. I agreed and 2 plumbers came out within a few hours. I got scared because I was reading Robert C.'s review how they charged him double because of 2 people. I called Donners Mechanical, the secretary forwarded me the call to a head plumber who was surly and short with me. I asked him if I was going to be charged for 2 plumbers. He said ""I said $135, didn't I?!"".

Other than that, the experience was very professional. The plumbers told me what was going on in real time. What he was doing, why it's not working right now, etc. . . My only hang up is pricing and contracts. I didn't sign a contract to agree to have the work done at a specific price. No receipt for when I paid by check, even though they said they accept credit cards. The contract to have work done protects both me and the company, since everything was agreed by voice and over the phone. However, if they're honest and don't sway from their pricing, I will continue to use them.

STAY AWAY!!! THESE GUYS PUT IN A DISPOSAL FOR ME AT A RENTAL UNIT. I have had many disposals installed over the years at rental properties in Brighton. ALWAYS A ONE PLUMBER JOB. These guys charged for two plumbers @ $150.00 per hour. When I called him to complain he said two plumbers went to the site and I was paying for one guy to go and get a disposal.

Are you serious.? Had to pay them TWICE what I have paid for other disposal installations.

BEWARE AND STAY CLEAR!!!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I called Donners at 11 this morning and by 3 I had hot showers again! SUPERB service- polite, professional, friendly, on-time! Will definitely be using Donners in the future!
