If you want transparency - this is not it. First and foremost this company is national, they go under the name service experts and plant themselves in small towns and name themselves accordingly to lure customers into thinking that they are local.

I had a technician come out one day, to inspect the unit, and they told me they had to come back the following day to finish diagnosis. Paid 99 for the the day And for told there would be no more fees for the trip.
Next day I receive the call regarding the diagnosis and get quoted double what other companies are quoting. They mention they provide a $200 dollar monthly subscription/financing of sorts, but
manage to leave out the term. 10 years upon asking! That's about 30k for an A/C unit and their 'no charge' service and repair. You tell me if that's a good deal. I tell him I'll think about and shop around more.

Then they hit me with an invoice for another 100 bucks and ask me when I'm going to pay, confused I tell them it's already been paid. And they inform me that I paid for the 100 dollar trip out, not the 100 dollar diagnosis. Go figure! Literally told me there was no more fees beyond the initial trip payment!

Not to mention ripping off that old man.

Jeff/Hollywood is my favorite tech and he is hands down one of the nicest n most professional people I've ever encountered. Their advantage service plans are nothing more than a complete and total SCAM. I'm not sure how this company has been able to get away with this but consider yourself warned and save yourself the legal fees. They are completely shameful and will rob you completely. DO NOT USE THEM!!

I made an appointment 3 days in advance that was supposed to be confirmed for between 10-12 am. I called to confirm the appointment and the response I got was that they would not be able to get to me for an additional 5 days. Basically my appointment was cancelled without notice or my consent. I would not have gotten any notice if I hadn't called first. Donelson air *did* call me but it was only in response to the call I made trying to confirm my appointment since I had not heard anything from them. I have no water in my house and this is completely unacceptable behavior to just drop a customer without notice. I will no longer use Donelson for my HVAC services either because of this experience.

Our heat was on the fritz and called a few places that no longer service 37215, so tried Donelson Air. Our tech, Kenneth was super helpful, friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. Haven't had this great of service lately anywhere, so wanted to share!

One star is too many stars for the c/s and billing department. I have been with Donelson Air since 2018. I bought a new heating AND air unit. Over $10,000. I bought the service agreement that they come out twice a year and service the heat and the air. This was paid on time every year. In 2022, when I called to schedule the spring maintenance, I was informed that they no longer honor the annual membership and moving to monthly payments. I was told the tech would be able to take my payment at the time of service. When the tech came out and serviced the unit, he told me I needed a UV light and a new filter. Total cost $360. Long story short, I was billed the amount and I paid $180 (half) about 2 weeks after the service and was told I had until 06/21/22 to pay the remaining balance. I received a statement for $360 dated 04/22/2022 from Donelson Air 2710 Old Lebanon R #15 Nashville Tn., 37217. Clearly the amount on the statement was incorrect due to I made a payment on 04/21/2022. I sent a check in for the remainder of the balance I owed of $180.00 on 05/13/2022 to the same address the statement was addressed from. On 06/01/2022 I received a collection notice from TSI (trans world systems) with the total balance of $360 still due. I called to speak with someone in billing and was told she (Marissa) was out of the office and the person on the phone took my message and said she would return my call when she came in the next day. I made a 2nd call to speak with someone in billing and I spoke with Malcolm and explained the situation again. He said he was sending Marissa an email to let her know and she was in the office but on a call and would return my call. As of today 06/11/2022, I have yet to receive a call for someone in regards to this which is very rude and unprofessional. Malcolm told me that I sent the payment to the incorrect address as this was there old address as of October 2021. I asked, why would I receive a statement with the old address to send they payment to and he couldn't give me a justifiable answer. He went on to say that any mail sent to the old address would not be forwarded to the new address. Why would I be held accountable because this company still has communications going out with the old address and my payment is floating in la la land. Owner, please be the bigger person and reach out and set the example of what c/s should look like. S. Thomas

Sucks that people come to Yelp only when they're wanting to leave a negative review and rarely leave positives.

Not sure what all the one stars are about. They came out, fixed my heat, even went the extra mile of cleaning up some duct work. All at a reasonable price.

Honestly shocked there is a bad review on here because our experience was BEYOND great. Heat went out on a Sunday and so we got a few quotes. Their salesperson was here at 8am the next day and quoted us a higher quality ""basic"" unit than the other competitors and came in $800 less. Plus they had it in stock and could install it at noon the same day we bought it. They completely saved us from freezing and the service techs did a fast install in a tight squeeze next to our fence. Loving our new Ruud so far and very grateful for speedy service!!
