We bought a house that had an electric oven. Precious wanted a gas oven so we called a few plumbers and got some estimates. Donald Hunt's estimate was about the same as all the others, but he gave us an estimate on the spot and was prepared to perform the work within a few days.

He came early morning and started running the gas line. He had a skinny assistant to go under the house into the crawl space. It's nasty down there. He took care of all the paperwork. He had an inspector from the city come and inspect the work. He's also a very nice man. I recommended him to my neighbor when he needed some work.

Will not return calls or complete work once they have taken money from you. The office staff (actually, I'm not sure there is a staff, just some girl's voicemail which NEVER gets any attention. I have a signed contract and have paid a portion of the money agreed to. They have left the job unfinished and have left me no choice but to file a claim against them in small claims court. Save yourself the aggravation and frustration. I wish I had.

Family run business that is pleasant to work with, professional and does an outstanding job at a fair price. It's not discount plumbing, and they don't claim to be. I had a gas fireplace unit that needed to be installed. Kelly (Donald's wife/office manager) handles the appointments and scheduling and was honest with me and kept me up-to-date with challenges (like the fact that heavy rains causing flooding in basements made my job a lower priority...I'm glad they do that. If I was the one with the flooded basement - I'm calling Donald Hunt Plumbing).

Donald came to the house ready to get going. It's one of those fancy fireplace inserts that is more ""artsy"" than logs. He knew exactly what he was doing so that we wouldn't die in our sleep. He cleaned up the area and did an overall great job. He even was good humored about my stupid questions in light of the fact that I'm nervous about gas and electric - both things that if done incorrectly could cause people to die.

Bottom line - don't try this at home! Call Donald Hunt Plumbing! They were great!
