Recommended Customer Reviews

I called Dr. Drain while I was up at our cabin off Lake Mary Road. He set up an appointment that day, was on-time and fixed my drain quickly and efficiently. I really appreciated his willingness to go a bit off the beaten track to help me out. I highly recommend Dr. Drain.

I called Dr. Drain late on a Friday afternoon for a leaking toilet in my condo.. Nick showed up and repaired it within an hour, even though he had weekend plans and was on his way out of town. Highly recommended.

Did a great job fixing a leaky faucet in my unit. Thank you!

I would definitely recommend doctor drain to anyone! Had an issue with the valve on our water heater, and he answered the phone on his way into town (before office hours), and sent a guy over within the hour! Sweet service, and he was finished with the work in no time. Now we are off to the slopes and our water heater is no longer leaking! Doctor Drain is the best!

I have to agree with the other review on here that Nick and his team are definitely great at getting the problem solved. On my last trip up to Mammoth there was a major issue. We had sewage get frozen in the main sewer line. This caused a backup and that was definitely not pleasant to deal with whatsoever!
However Nick was able to get someone out to the cabin fairly quickly after we had discovered the problem. We didn't know what the problem was at that point, so we started by snaking the drains and were unable to get to the issue. We then went to look for the main outside the cabin and dug down to it. This is when we realized that there wasn't a cleanout installed. So we set a time for the next morning.
Pro Tip: Repeat customers get a 10% discount.
They arrived on time as agreed (on a Saturday morning no less) got to work installing a cleanout and thus we dug out a good section of the main to be replaced as well. By our having dug the dirt for the plumber we saved them digging it out at an extravagant rate. Yay for saving a few hundred bucks! They installed the cleanouts, reconnected the pipes and knocked out the ice all the way to the sewer in the street.
Pro Tip #2: Visa, MC only for charge cards, cash preferred.
This was a Godsend as we had been unable to use the toilets, showers, drains, for about 24 hours. Consequently we were super happy to get clean and not have to grab a shrub or run into town to a restroom. The price was reasonable for the work that was done.
Therefore I recommend this place if you need some plumbing help in Mammoth or its surrounds. They are johnny on the spot.

Crook! Came over fix something. He ""worked"" on it for a couple of minutes then told me that I would have to replace the whole unit because it was unfixable. Charged $80 laughed at me and left. I went out to look at what was done, found the part he worked on wasn't on tight. I tightened it and everything worked fine. By the way, it was a gas line that he worked on and was left loose and leaking gas. Could have blown up my house. I believe it was left loose on purpose so I would believe it needed replacing. Do what you want but I'll never call him again. BTW; I believe there was a previous owner who I use to see around Bishop which is why I called him. But the guy that came out was from Mammoth and not the person I thought it was so maybe there's a new owner.

I can't tell you how many times Nick and his crew have saved my butt! Twice, smack dab in the middle of winter, they trudged up 3' of snow - first, to replace an 80 gal hot water tank that had burs,t and the second time (yesterday!!) to repair a leaky faucet riser and to set my heaters and verify that this deep and sudden cold snap had not broken any pipes. I really hated to call them 'cause it's thanksgiving but they cheerfully went and got the job done. Can't ask for better service than that. Gotta respect a guy that answers with 'no problem, we'll get it done'.
