I was very disappointed with this company. Initially I was handled properly and I really enjoyed the social aspect of this company, but honestly they really didn't do me any good. I waited weeks to hear response, which does me good. Took forever to get a decent response, after reaching out and not getting a decent quote I gave up. I didn't feel like getting ripped off. Not a good business

These folks are crazy expensive and I mean crazy, All repair shop businesses mark up the cost of goods and supplies, that is part of their profit margin and normal. These guys mark up parts by about %400. I am certain their techs work on commission for what they sell. My only recommendation is stay away from this company. Their techs are knowledgeable and they will have your AC properly serviced, but the cost will be way way way out of line, and they will perform service and replace things that do not need to be replaced. I bought a multi year service agreement but after their first visit I will never let them back into my residence again even those there are more check-ups included

Paid $500 to replace a $10 part.
Don't get ripped off. Stay away.
Although the tech was fairly nice. You can tell they are more of a sales man than they are technicians.

AC stopped blowing cool air Sunday evening. Called Doctor Cool, left my name, address, and contact info with them, and waited for a technician to call me back. I got a call back a lot quicker than I expected, but they wanted to charge me twice just to come out because it was the weekend. They usually charge $89. I guess people don't have AC issues on the weekend. Needless to say I will not be using Doctor Cool. They made me feel like the inconvenience of having my AC go out on a Sunday was more of an inconvenience to them! Heaven forbid I bother them on the weekend needing AC repair.

I had Eddie come out to do a routine service check, and it was an absolute pleasure. Eddie walked me through the service visit, what he was working on, and how the unit was running. He was quick an efficient, but knowledgeable and very friendly. I highly recommend this team.

I feel the technicians are very nice and knowledgable. Their response time is very good.
They are not the cheapest firm around.
My biggest problem is they have a tendency to forget about me. The latest occurred when a tech was here last, I explained to him that I was interested in re-insulating my attic.
He advised that he had other clients waiting for him but he will call me to set up a time he would come out and take attic measurements to get me a more accurate quote.
I advised him that his office has forgotten about me in the past. He looked me right in the eye and said "I'm not like the other people who forgot about you. I guarantee you when I say I will call you, I will"
Well it's now a couple weeks later and never heard a word back from him...:
What a shame. I ended up doing it myself.
This company lost a job because of this but maybe it's because they have so much business in the summer they don't care.
Think it's time to use a different company from now on, even though Im a club member...
Company came out to do a free inspection of everything for free since I'm a club member.
Tech Nick S. Was excellent. Very thorough and checked everything. What's good about this company is the employees are paid by the hour, not commissions. Which is great, they are not trying to sell you something since they do not get a commission.
I will continue to use them.

This company is all about getting you on a contract. If you don't want to be locked in an annual contract with them, I would not recommend them. They charged $268 to do service on 2 units.

So, I let these guys talk me into paying them to come out every year to "inspect" and "service" my AC system. They apparently did nothing, because they failed to catch that the coil was rusted through and leaking coolant, and that the (very visible and obvious) drain pan was rusted through and crumbling to dust. When I called to see if they could send someone out, they tried to charge me an outrageous amount just to come out (and not the next day either) because I wasn't a member of whatever Amazon Prime-like club they had going on.
Luckily, my mom knew a guy who came out and charged my AC to tide me over for less 2/3rds their trip charge, and who replaced my coil and drain pan for a very reasonable sum. I'll be using him from now on, and referring my friends too.

I have used them many times over the past 30 years, but this last time was very disappointing. I had what turned out to be a capacitor issue in the compressor. But the guy who came diagnosed the problem as a bad breaker. My son-in-law put the new breaker in and the a/c still didn't work. Called an independent guy and he took the compressor apart and found that it was the capacitor. The compressor was still under warranty so I got a new one the next day and was up and running. I had to pay for Freon and the house call from Dr Cool and it was all for nothing. They are expensive. I was disappointed.

Timely, professional and spot on service! I have used DC&PH several times and the level of service is always top notch. They service new and old equipment - I can count on them to be honest.
