Recommended Customer Reviews

I would avoid this company. They only get business from warranty companies so you have to work with them. They also restrict their times and only do service calls between 8-10am, and they will have you waiting weeks to come back out for repairs. Just to clarify, when I called there was only one time block, 8-10am. I said do you have anything later for the next 2 or 3weeks. I was told no. This is the only time we come out.

Happy with their services. Very responsive, fast to schedule, troubleshoot, get parts and repair a leaking water heater in less than 24 hours. I would highly recommend for your plumbing needs. Thank you Dockside Plumbing

This company was assigned through American Home Shield. I was immediately contacted by this business to schedule my service call within minutes of placing the request. I was hoping that was a good sign. That was Thursday, May 3. The gentleman was trying to schedule me for the next day which didn't work for me and specifically requested the following Tuesday, May 7 as I was already planning on working from home that day. The gentleman mentioned AHS does not allow for service calls to be pushed out more than a day or two (and Dockside does not run calls on Saturday, which would have worked for me as well). I didn't understand that ""policy"" so I let him know I would contact AHS directly to see if they would make an exception. Twenty minutes later we had the problem resolved and my appointment was booked for Tuesday, May 7 from 9am - 2pm. AHS sent an email confirmation indicating that date and everything was great with the world.
A change of events had me working from home on Friday after all so I reached out to Dockside just to see if they still had availability. A woman returned my call later that afternoon to let me know there was no way they could make it out as they were ""already overbooked"". I completely understood and indicated I would see them on Tuesday. Not feeling so confident now. I used to manage an HVAC company in California so I know how companies ""overbook"".
It's now Tuesday, May 7 at 1:30pm. Having not received any communication from the company I decided to reach out to see what the status was. The gentleman from the first day answered the phone and acknowledged he had booked me yesterday for today and was seeing what tech had my request. A few seconds later, the story changes and lets me know that my appointment was not for today but for tomorrow, May 8. I let him know that I had the confirmation from AHS and my notes from our initial phone call and specifically stayed home today for this appointment - he then attempted to gaslight me and inform me that AHS always sends out incorrect information and that he doesn't understand why I would have assumed my appointment was on the 7th - it was always on the 8th as all of his devices indicated so.
Needless to say, I cancelled this request.

Chris from Dockside showed in 20 minutes and was fixing a problem that another plumbing company was going to charge us $1000.00 and ask us to sign a waiver for any damages that might happen while doing the repair. Chris took one look at and said this is an easy fix. He had the job done in 20 minutes with his tools and no parts needed to be ordered. Talk about honesty! Heidi, Ricky and Chris you ROCKS!!! Thank you for your honesty and we will recommend you to all our neighbors and friends! There is still honest companies out there!!!!!

American Home Shield dispatched this company for a leaky pipe claim I submitted. The two plumbers that came to our house were very nice. They identified the problem and said it was an easy fix.
After their visit, things went south. Dockside plumbing submitted a report to AHS stating that our Manibloc system was bad and needed to be replaced. This is not what we were told, or what was written on our receipt. Our claim was denied based on that report.
We called Dockside to see why their submitted report did not match our receipt and found the lady who answered the phone and later an ""owner"" to be very beligerent. He claimed his guys would never say it was an easy fix and that they won't touch the Manibloc system, claiming all of our plumbing would have to be replaced at an estimated cost of $10k - $11k.
Needless to say, we are cancelling American Home Shield and not ever using Dockside Plumbing. We found someone else to do the repairs.

Dockside Plumbing was sent out by my AHS Warranty Company to address leaks coming from fawcett and under sink. They were prompt, professional and efficient. Got it fixed in 1 try...5 stars for Dockside! AHS sucks but happy to keep Dockside in my contacts once my policy expires. Love the idea that they employ veterans too!

If you have a home warranty request. Cancel this company and ask for some other.
Let me just start by saying not to do what I did and try and give this company the benefit of the doubt. I read the other comments and tried to convince myself there's no way these guys could be this bad. They are.
I submitted a claim through AHS for a shower valve that failed. Valves are located inside the wall for reference. This dudes ""techs"" came out and took pictures of the handle which had a small chip on it, NOT THE ISSUE. They noted there was calking inside a screw hole. ALSO NOT THE ISSUE. The valve had simply failed due to use and wear and tear. They specifically annotated that the chipped handle was not due to wear and tear. NOT THE ISSUE.
They had no intention on actually diagnosing a problem; anyone with half a brain and any mechanical knowledge at all would clearly understand the issue. The techs agreed the valve was the issue, but the owners memorandum to AHS stated the opposite. This dude is a hack and I am now under the impression he is compensated by AHS to deny claims.
Do not do business with this company. Any rebuttal on this review is probably false information in the attempt to defend the company.
Yes, I texted the owner, or whoever runs the phones that I would be perusing civil litigation for false information after repeated attempts at actually calling without receiving an answer. Only after that is when I magically received a call back.
Hard to believe a fellow veteran is such a dishonest businessman

It took them one week to come and fix my hot water heater. And then technician (who was great), had a bill $200.00 over the amount agreed on. He tried to say the secretary in the office made a mistake - I wonder if I would ever have received the $200.00 back if I had paid it. Can only imagine how long it would have taken.
And what company doesn't take credit cards!!!

Our insurance company recommended dockside. Got a call almost as soon as I hung up from the insurance company. Got done quickly.

I called this am and spoke with Ricky. He was very nice and personable. I have someone coming tomorrow between 7&12, I'll keep you posted!
