Recommended Customer Reviews
Do not use their services!!! There are so many other options in Las Vegas, so why choose lazy crooks. Customer service is horrible at the dispatch level AND techs are not knowledgeable.
Kristina S.Do NOT use this plumber. While their tech was very nice and seemed honest, their office administrator, Heidi, is NOT honest. I listened to the tech tell her that he needed to remove a toilet in order to diagnose the issue because there was no obvious issue upon initial examination, but when I got on the phone with her, she insisted we needed to have a camera used to check the pipes for the problem - a more expensive procedure that she needed to have approved by the home warranty company - a solution that the tech had NOT said was necessary.
The requested repairs reported by the tech were approved by the home warranty company. When I called Dockside to schedule the approved work, Heidi insisted it was denied, even though I had no messages from the home warranty company or in their portal that said otherwise, ""because they never approve cameras."" Heidi told me she was going to call the home warranty company and tell them to send me a denial. She contacted them and sent an updated request, this time asking for the camera procedure, which they, of course, then denied.
After being lied to by Heidi, and identifying this as Dockside trying to scam the home warranty company and me, I decided to use Jenni Plumbing. They were able to diagnose the issue in seconds (without a camera OR removing the toilet) and perform the work quickly and inexpensively. I have since filed a complaint with the home warranty company about Dockside, but my guess is they will still use them, as these kinds of scams help them get out of paying for repairs which should be covered.
This isn't the first time I've dealt with shady contractors, but this is the first one I've ever had so blatantly lie to me. I still can't believe I listened to the tech tell Heidi one thing and then she got on the phone with me and told me the repair required something completely different. I even have what the tech said was needed in writing and she STILL lied to me, then she lied to the home warranty company.
I'm flabbergasted that a company like this can stay in business. Please save yourself a lot of headache and unnecessary expense and don't use them.
UPDATE 5/4/2023
Heidi called and left me a long, threatening voice messaging demanding that I change my review so I am. I'm adding proof that she lied to me and to the home warranty company as attached photos.
I have included the report that the tech completed at the time of the visit which aligns with what he told me and what I heard him tell her on the phone during that visit.
I'm also including the contractor notes she submitted to the home warranty company which align with she told me on the phone during the tech's visit and on the phone when I called to schedule their return visit.
Amy R.Although I did not end up scheduling service, the customer service rep that called me after my AHS claim was very nice and helpful in explaining what was covered in my contract. This saved us all the hassle of having a technician come out and face out of pocket expenses. I decided to cancel the AHS claim and put that $75 towards the diy repair. Our plumbing issues are luckily repairs that my partner and I can DIY. If it were anything more serious than a leaky faucet and drain, then I would have still moved forward with dockside plumbing service based on the exceptional customer service rep.
Dockside plumbing was sent out by American Home Shield to diagnose my leaky water heater. It's a 17 year old water heater but the tech managed to write the diagnosis in a way that AHS denied the claim, saying the failure of the water heater was due to ""secondary sources"". It's pretty shady that the company assigned by AHS is the same one who decides if the item is covered. If your home warranty hires this company for anything, ask to use a different one. They are working in cahoots. I've since canceled American Home Shield as a result of this experience, and I will tell anyone and everyone that Dockside Plumbing is NOT to be trusted. Common theme on all the 1 star reviews, their responses point fingers rather than take ownership of anything.
Jenna K.Dockside was assigned to a service call I placed with our Home Warranty company. The tank on the toilet cracked sometime over night. We had already removed all the water and turned the water off at the toilet so no water leaked for at least 4 days before they arrived. Dockside's tech decided it was a good idea to use silicone caulking on the crack as a ""temporary fix"" and now my toilet that wasn't leaking water anymore is leaking water all over my hardwood floors again and won't stop.... only to find out that our warranty company has denied them replacing the toilet so their ""fix"" has caused a worse water damage issue and my toilet is still broken, not that I would allow them to replace the toilet based on how poorly they handled the situation to begin with.
Great service, the owner Chris is a straight forward, no nonsense kind of guy. They are reliable, knowledgeable and get the job done right. I was assigned them through my home warranty company and I would without question, use them again going forward! Thank you Chris and the Dockside Plumbing team.
Kelan G.Our toilet stopped working properly and was leaking water. Also our garbage disposals motor burnt out. The boys came out installed a disposal that was faulty I immediately called dockside and within 15 minutes the Calvary showed up and replaced the disposal with a new one and made things right. Not the next day. 15 minutes later. Perfect
Chris from Dockside Plumbing and he is a miracle worker!! He fixed my leak under the bathroom sink in a very timely manner!! We will be referring everyone one we know to use Dockside Plumbing!! THEY ARE AMAZING!!!
When you call them they are always trying to evade responsibilities, the 2 guys that did the work at home were really nice but whoever is behind the phone is really rude... they installed a new water heater and right after one of my faucets started spraying hot water abnormally and didn't work anymore. We called them and they said that's nothing to do with them. They said they will be doing some reforms and they just replaced the tank and 2 hoses...
Oh wow no wonder their reviews show 2.5 stars. If I could leave a 0 I absolutely would. The company was sent through AHS home warranty. Tammy whoever she is has very poor customer service. From the beginning of the phone conversation Tammy had a very bad attitude and was very rude even though all I was trying to do is get a clarification on what has happened at the property they were dispatched to. When I was trying to explain to her the situation the owner took over and started yelling at me. Horrible Customer service or better said the lack of! If you're a homeowner or a property manager make sure to stay away from these people if you're in Las Vegas. And if you get them though the home warranties please make sure you request a different vendor. Because these people are terrible to deal with.
