Finding a good plumber is not something you can research and take your time, unlike a construction company to do renovations to your house. Plumbing problems tend to come up suddenly and that's EXACTLY what happened to us. Six days before Christmas, all of a sudden around 9pm, we had smell and back up sewage coming into our tubs. In a panic, I looked on Yelp and saw Doc Joe's. They seemed to REASONABLY have good reviews...so I called. Dylan showed up a few hours later and gave us an estimate of $1800 to replace a ""back water device"". He said they would have to dig up the concrete to replace the device. We were VERY HESITANT! Dylan said no worries...they would patch up the concrete to almost matching. If we didn't like the concrete work, they would come back to fix it to our satisfaction. He told us they have a great paving guy to do the work. The device got installed and so far so good on the plumbing. NOW to re-do the concrete work...the SAME TWO GUYS THAT INSTALLED THE DEVICE CAME to re-pave which I thought was VERY WEIRD. They told us they would do it very professionally...WAS I WRONG! LOOK AT THE PIC I POSTED. It looked NOTHING CLOSE TO OUR CONCRETE AND IT WAS A VERY MESSY JOB!! Fast forward now to January 15, 2014...I dropped by their office and told Sean Berg about the concrete work. He said he would go look at it THAT DAY....did he? NO HE DID NOT AND NO CALL FROM HIM. I waited patiently and called Sean again on Feb. 5...he said he would go look at it that day...STRANGE...HE DIDN'T EVEN ASK FOR MY NAME, WORK ORDER NUMBER OR MY ADDRESS. I asked him if he even knew who I was...obviously he had ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION ON COMING TO LOOK AT THE MESS. I called again several hours later to see if he was coming by. His reply? He would be there in a couple hours...did he? NO HE DID NOT AND NO CALL FROM HIM EITHER. Obviously customer service isn't a priority for him. Would I recommend him to others? NO and I will tell EVERYONE that I know NOT TO USE THEM. Sean comes off nice and concerned, but he is DEFINITELY NOT. FYI: They are also a member of the Better Business Bureau...which is a joke!

First off the quality of their products and install are OK. If you want to be blown off more than a dozen times with missed appointments, no call backs even when they miss their appointment times, then go with this company. They still owe me additional products. I was unbelievably patient, but that doesn't matter. I would never use this company again..

Yay! A great excuse to write my very first Yelp review! Doc Joe's is the best. I called them late-ish one day in December when I needed someone to fix a valve on my fridge. To my amazement, they came over within two hours and Scott was so friendly, honest, and helpful that I asked them to bid on a complete re-piping job for my house that I had been putting off forever. The price was super competitive, they didn't sell me on a bunch of stuff I didn't need, and the crew did an incredible job. I can't believe how great my water pressure is now. I spent 30 minutes in the shower after they turned the water back on! Thank you, thank you, Doc Joe's. I'll be coming back!

We called because our water heater was leaking and my husband we had to close the water line, we called and they were able to get us Sean to come the same day to fix it, he came within the time promise and we were very happy with how quickly he was able to fix it great service highly recommend

My Experience with Doc Joe's is very similar to few people who posted previously in the following dates.
12/19/2013,09/2/2013,8/23/2013,8/17/2013,8/11/2013 and 1/19/2013. So this indicated they are consistently unprofessional.

My interaction with him started on 11/13/2013 regarding my sewer line which is experiencing slower drainage. First impression was very good and he seems to be very gentleman and reasonable with the pricing. He has promised to come out and inspect the line next day. The next day he called me and informed that he could not come since his camera is not working and then he promised to come next week. I said fine. The onward, every time I call him he says some thing or other excuse. Finally one day he told me that he inspected the line and he is preparing the report.
It happened again few times and he never shared the report and nor told me the problem. Anyways for the past two days, he is not even picking up my phone. But If I call from another number, he does pick up and provides another excuse.

Overall, the point is - the company is not reliable and very unprofessional.. and please don't waste your time.

In the first place, I approached him by reading some of the good reviews about him on Yelp. For the first few interactions I thought his excuses are not really excuses but valid reasons. As the days passed, I have realized that he is lying.

I started out thinking that maybe this service was going to be good. They get their foot in the door, start your job... get half way through and move on to the next one.

No integrity in keeping their word or completion of work.

DO NOT PAY THEM ALL UP FRONT! If you hire them for a big job...You will be left waiting weeks or months for the simplest of things to be completed.

Like running water.

I would Not recommend this plumbing company, owner is a smooth talker and over promises and under delivers in his services. Takes to long to complete our service job! Also very unprofessional with matters. I suggest reading other poor reviews posted; since it very similar to my experience with this company. Plus, still have not heard from him on last request to receive closing documents for work completed, Thumbs Down!

I know that much like a mechanic, finding a good and trustworthy plumber is quite a challenge. I am lucky that I found Doc Joe's. My bathroom sink was draining VERY slowly, so I called on Thursday for a Saturday appointment. The woman who took my call was very friendly and helpful, and explained everything in detail to me. I was given a two hour window, and the plumber showed up right within that time frame, as promised. Sean was very friendly and professional. While I had initially called to have my drain snaked, Sean found that the reason was with my drain stopper being congested. He cleaned it out, and the drain started working wonderfully. The best part - because it was such a quick and easy fix, there was no charge. I am so happy that I found Doc Joe's! I am already planning on using them when I re-pipe my house.

YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH DOC JOE'S! JUST LOOK FOR THE BRIGHT YELLOW VAN!

Super excellent service and super professional and friendly people! Highly recommend!! After an unfortunate water pipe break in the early morning, I was fortunate to find this company on Yelp. The lady at the front desk is also super friendly and helpful. I called them at 7:45 am, and I asked when technicians can arrive. She said she can guarantee by 8:15 am, and guess what, Dwight and Billy arrive at my house at 8:14 am!! They quickly found the problem and said they will buy the materials and come back to fix it. Because I have to go to work, they offer to come back when I return, even though the time I get home is 6:30 pm! When I get home, at 6:30 sharp, I called them and Billy answered, ""we are outside your garage door"". They are so sharp on time like firefighters! Dwight did a wonderful job replacing the pipes and also super fast. I'm amazed that this company have such hardworking and helpful technicians. The price is pretty fair too. Hands down the best plumbers in the area!

Scott and Dwight came over and saved the day! My bathroom has not been working well for months...it was gradually getting worse. I finally bit the bullet and decided to call the plumber. I found this company through Yelp. Scott came over the same day and tried to snake it w/out much success. Next morning, he returned with Dwight, pulled my toilet out and we were all surprised to see that a tree root was growing into my pipes. They pulled it out and re-sealed my toilet. Both were very friendly, professional and courteous. I highly recommend them! And they did not try to gouge me, like the previous guy I found on Yelp. Will definitely call them back!
