Overpriced and unreliable - Sean came to fix my toilet on 13 December. After the initial consult, they did not actually come to fix it until late into the evening. Now three weeks later the toilet has been running and running and running. I tried to call them three times and have received an answering service or a busy signal. Very disappointing.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. Unprofessional, unreliable, rude, absolutely no communication! All of the negative reviews are truthful. I cannot even tell you how many times I was told Sean would be at my place and he was not! Everything that comes out of his mouth is BS. Please be warned, there are several other more reliable plumbers in our area.

LEFT MY GAS LINE IN A DANGEROUS STATE AND I""M STILL TRYING TO GET MY REFUND EVEN AFTER THE OWNER ADMITS FAULT.

I had a gas line repaired by Doc Joe's plumbing at a house I was remodeling in Dana Point. Much to my surprise, when the gas was turned back on at the house the gas company ""red tagged"" my house and said their was a giant leak in the attic.

I called in another company (Kastle Plumbing) who came in and assessed the problem. I was pretty shocked to learn that the technician that hooked the gas line up used the wrong type of gas line up and actually left the house in an extremely dangerous state! The technician at Kastle plumbed urged me to talk to the owner of Doc Joe's and let him know the dangerous work that was done. Apparently this not only exposed us to a fire danger but also the possibility of a gas leak during the night which could have been tragic!

I called and spoke with Sean Berg who is the President and I believe owner of Doc Joe's Plumbing. He was very appreciative of the call and said he disciplined the tech and would refund my money. In at least 4 subsequent emails he told me ""the refund check is in the mail"" but I've yet to see a refund, MORE THAN SIX MONTHS LATER!

Do yourself a big favor, find another plumber.

This review is based on the fact that I called made an appointment, was told the plumber would arrive between 1600-1800. I had expressed my concern about their timeliness and told them that the other plumber I had called the previous day failed to show up let alone call to advise of his unavailability. They assured my they would advise if there were complications. Needless to say I waited till 1755 called them to see the status of the plumber they said would arrive, they told me they'd call back and nothing still have yet to receive a call. I also work as a technician, different field but nonetheless provide a service. In my job this would be completely unacceptable. I fail to see how with customer service like this they are still in business. My time is also of value and if you tell me you are going to come between a certain time slot I would expect you to show up, or at the least call and advise otherwise.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

It's been 2 1/2 weeks since we have had hot water. They have only come out once after making multiple appointments with us. They need to come out again to fix something. They tell us everyday ""we're gonna come out today."" BUT THEY DONT. I miss hot water so freaking much. Maybe they will come out today....*sigh*. Do not go to these people because they are UNRELIABLE.

They came right on time as promised, that is Always a good sign from any service. For an estimate. Even tho we explained to them what the problem was, They knew what steps had to be taken to fix the mess. The serviceman was cordial as well as professional.
Doc Joe and his staff are the ones to be called upon.

Through our experiences with Doc Joes, their staff have always been very pleasant to work with. I would give them a 5 star for this.

I had made an appointment 4 days prior to the date of service and was informed that the staff would arrive between 8-10a. Unfortunately, no one had shown up during that time. I had called Doc Joes and was informed that the assignment was assigned to a staff different than who I originally expected. The staff came an hour later. Fortunately, I was not pressed for time so this allowed for flexibility.

Also, the service we needed was a powet jet wash of our kitchen pipe line. For a 30 minute service where water was pumped in and out of our pipes, the cost was $435. I do feel this is quite overpriced. I had spoken to our neighbor who confirmed that the service was overpriced and had referred us to another plumber company for future.

I had a small leak under my Mobile home and called 3 plumbers. Sean was the only one who called me back. Knowing it was going to cost extra for him to come out on a Sunday, I explained it was just a small leak and would it be cheaper for him to come on Monday. He explained he would not charge me extra and I said great because I have been out of work for a while. He said he had several other jobs to get to before mine but would be there between 5 - 6. Well he did run a little behind but he communicated this to me and stayed in touch because the other jobs ran over time. He got to my house and had it fixed in know time. I knew it wasn't anything major but he was nice enough to give me a discount because he was late. He was polite , courteous and professional. I will be recommending him to all of my neighbors and family. He could have called and said he was running way behind and could we do this tomorrow but he didn't. He should up and took care of the problem. Thank you Sean. I appreciate the help you gave me and the care and concern you took.

If this company does good work, I will never know. Initially, I called and spoke with Sean the owner, he was courteous and scheduled a time to see the issue on the same day between 8pm-9pm, He arrived at or after 9pm. He seemed knowledgeable and said he would come out Saturday morning between 7am-8am. He never called and did not show up. When I called his office close to 9am to find out what happened, he answered the phone informing me that he had just gotten in and would call to try to find someone to come out. Excuse me? He originally said he would personally do the work. I gave him the opportunity to make things right when he said he would call me back within a 1/2 hour. He never called. What a shame. I needed help and thought Sean would do what he said, I can understand one snafu, but it appears from the reviews of others that this is a behavioral pattern. No thanks.

UNRELIABLE & UNPROFESSIONAL! I have never experienced a customer-based business show as much neglect and disrespect. We set an appointment with them three different times this week; all three times they came hours later (9:30pm on a 11:30am promise) or never showed at all. The CEO Sean Berg looks at you in the face and tells you his team will be there, and again same results. We even fired them and they left all their equipment for days still connected rendering having another plumber come out useless. If you have serious plumbing issues and need reliability you have been advised to look elsewhere. My friends that have used them in the past have crossed them off their list for future use. ZERO STARS
