Our home warranty picked DKH plumbing for our water heater issues. The water heater was leaking and not producing any hot water. We called Saturday morning, and thankfully, they had someone that was able to come take a look the same day. Their technician came with his girlfriend. They said we needed a replacement and would contact our home warranty. They didn't contact our home warranty, and when we called DKH plumbing to get answers, they said they would call back but never did. They even started sending our call straight to voice mail. It's Monday morning, our home warranty has not heard from them, and neither have we.

My home warranty company selected them and I have to admit to being worried about the service I would get. Turned out they were awesome. They kept me well informed and the tech was on time. They listened to me on what was needed and they showed up with all the parts. He got the job done in less than an hour and it was perfect. I truly appreciated their commitment to doing the right thing and getting the job done correctly.

Water Heater expired. DKH was assigned by American Home Shield. Tech wrote up $1730 Non-Covered Cost, which included $345 for expansion tank and $355 for recirculation pump. Note - I am on a well. I checked with two other plumbers. Both said same thing - 1) expansion tank isn't not part of system when house is on a well and 2) recirculation pump is fine and besides it's optional - not code. So I also made a visit to Nevada County Building Dept and showed inspector the DKH work order. Inspector said two second opinion plumbers were right and DKH had no reason to add the extra work. So pick their reason - incompetent or cheaters. Either way - DO NOT TRUST DKH!

I contacted DKH to repair a leak in my water service line at 968 Lincoln Way in Auburn on Saturday, July 22. Your technician Billy responded (no last name given), stating that the repair would be time and materials. The repair consisted of replacing about 18"" of PVC about one foot deep. Billy arrived just after 11 a.m., and the job was completed just after 2 p.m., for a total time of about three hours.

Imagine my surprise when Billy stated that the cost was $1,200 (please see receipt below). Materials were negligible, so effectively DKH charged me $400 per hour for repair. Even for Saturday, I believe this is way beyond reasonable being about twice the going rate for emergency plumbing work.

I guess my mistake was to not verify what the DKH hourly rate, however I do not believe anyone would have expected a cost of $400 per hour . The final work product was satisfactory, but the cost of the repair is extreme and unwarranted.

Excellent service from Brian @DKH plumbing. My tankless hot water heater stopped produced hot water late Sunday night. I called DKH early Monday morning and Brian was here by 10:30am. Brian was able to fix the problem and hot water was restored. Based on the condition of the system he recommended a flush (probably not done for at least 3yrs) and we arranged a follow up visit. Whilst here I asked him to check out my drinking water filtration system, also not looked at for a while. When he came back for the tankless flush, he brought new drinking water filters and installed them at the same time. Easy to communicate with, both visits were arranged over the phone and they arrived at the time agreed. Good efficient work on site at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend DKH for plumbing work.
