SHAME ON THEM! Back in July (2023) I spoke with a lady at DJ's about having my sprinkler system serviced. The lady stated I didn't have a contract and would need to sign a contract to have service done. I told her that I hadn't turned the system on for about the last 5-6 years, and that when I turned the system on, I had issues with two zones operating at the same time. I explained that I originally called the company that installed the system and was told they no longer service my area and referred me to another sprinkler company. I called that company and was told they weren't accepting new customers. I checked online and found DJ's Lawn Sprinklers and they were local. After hearing my story, the lady stated they weren't taking new customers, but would get me set up and serviced for this year without a contract. During the week of July 10th, 2 service techs (from DJ's) came out and determined there was a faulty valve and needed to order a new valve. Since then, I haven't heard anything as to the status of the valve and it is now the end of September. I called to have my system winterized and blown out, and like everyone else, had to leave a message. I got an email response back from Linda saying ""per our records we show we never did any type of service for you nor do we have a number of zones. Please advise what this is about."" I responded back and received crickets. They totally blew me off and never responded back. I don't know where they're getting all their ""good"" ratings, but it's surely not from this type of customer service.

We have signed an annual contract with the company in the winter of 2018, which included sprinkler system start in the spring and shut off in the Fall, two services over 12 months of 2018. We sent a check for the entire year which the company cashed in February of 2018. Problems: 1) The company is unreachable. There is no live person answering the phone EVER, so you have to leave a message to schedule the services that the company owes to you based on the paid contract. The catch is that they call during the business hours, in spite of the fact that you request a call back during a specific window in your day when you are actually in the office, and not at one of the numerous meetings. No luck, the call still comes in when you are discussing an urgent project with a group of 20 at work. After playing phone tag with them for many weeks this spring, my husband ended up getting the sprinklers started himself, even though we have already paid for this service. 2) Miraculously, we were able to reach and schedule DJ Sprinklers to come out to our property to shut down the sprinkler system for the winter. However, the company representatives claimed that we have no contract with them and made my husband write out a new check for their fall service. As expected, I was not able to discuss any of this with a live person over the phone. It took a third party to convince DJ sprinklers to reimburse the extra payment in addition to, very reluctant, reimbursement of the half of the service contract. Never again, at least not for us.
These guys did a service for the home builder from before we moved in and have now harassed me 3 times for payment, even after I explained that I did not own the home at the time of the service. I even offered to send along our closing docs so she could prove to the home builders that we were not the ones that authorized the service. The woman had the gall to tell me it was my problem and that I should call the homebuilders! Right after which she asked if I wanted winterization services. Would never use them!
