Company Overview

The only full-service plumbing provider in Oklahoma City that specializes in service work, renovations, and remodels. With more than two decades of experience, we have upheld a dedication to putting customers first that aims to offer clients choices for their plumbing needs. We specialize in a single trade, enabling us to master it. We steer clear of tricks or convoluted descriptions about the services our clients require. We prioritize upfront honesty over selling techniques.

Emergency services or appointments available. Back in 2000, Jim and Dave identified that clients deserved a higher standard of plumbing service than the ones they had worked with. Driven by dissatisfaction with the service, they discussed the founding principles of their own plumbing company, combining their experiences from their experiences and discussions with customers. The outcome was Affordable Plumbing, and those customer-focused principles that guide our daily operations.

DJ and Sons LLC Plumbing is more than just another plumbing service founded casually in a work truck during lunch. James ""Jim"" Walker embarked on his plumbing path as an apprentice in Shawnee, Oklahoma, back in 1996. He never missed a chance to master his craft from the ground up. With a passion for plumbing craftsmanship, Jim remains informed about innovations in plumbing solutions that can benefit customers by delivering creative answers to timeless plumbing problems as the plumbing field advances in the 21st century.

Rental property I own in OKC had a badly clogged upstairs bathroom drain. First company who looked at it could not clear the line and said they'd need to rip up the floors to do the job, costing a minimum of $1000.

I called Affordable for a second opinion and boy am I glad I did. They realized that the plumbing had an older setup that required a different approach, and were able to clean out the drain quickly, for a reasonable price, and without tearing up the bathroom.

Affordable's experience and expertise saved me time, trouble, and a boatload of cash. They also have a professional approach and patiently answered all my layman's questions about the plumbing problem. I can see why they have all the five-star reviews. Never going to use another plumber for my rentals in OKC, period.

Affordable plumbing is a misnomer. Price twice the estimate. Left floor a mess despite what they said. Didnt even have parts for what I requested. Let me know I had to complete job. Not impressed and feel deceived by recommendations I relied upon.

If you want quality work and great service, this is the company to call! I requested a quote on yelp and Dave was quick to respond. I was in town for a very short time and Dave and Jim were able to come out to my house to ensure my problem was fixed in the short timeframe. They were very professional and pleasant to talk to. If I have any more problems, I'm calling them!!

I used Affordable Plumbing to install a kitchen faucet that I had bought. The faucet wouldn't fit. I was advised by the plumber as to what kind of faucet to buy. He said he would come back the same day if I found one. He made room for my install in the middle of a busy schedule for him, when I called. They were very courteous, helpful, and neat. I recommend them very highly.

I would highly recommend that you go elsewhere for your plumbing needs! I contacted Affordable Plumbing to assist with two issues with my rental properties. They are busy and didn't schedule with my tenants for a week which I overlooked. The technician then calls me and tells me that he is done with both jobs and will email me invoices. They snaked three pipes at one location and then put extensions on the shower knobs at the other location instead of fixing them. The bills they sent me totaled almost $600.00. The tenants called me saying neither issue was fixed and one tenant sent me a video showing the shower knobs just spinning a few hours after the technician left. Horrible!! When I called to resolve, they said just pay half the bills and never call us again.

Prompt, generous, and fair. Affordable Plumbing is aptly named. They were tidy, and they didn't crack our tile when repairing a flange. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Good work, but extremely overcharged. I had a leaking cold water line under the foundation. The leak locator came out and found where it was and luckily it was a single line that could be capped and only needed a 6ft reroute. Two guys showed up to do the work. I took 2 hours to finish the work. They handed me a bill for $975. I asked for it to be itemized and he wouldn't, just that it was labor for 2 men at $130/hr each and parts. That's $520 labor and $455 for the parts which included a shut off valve, a few fittings and 6 ft of PEX. One of the guys did all the work the other stood there. I should have gotten a written estimate so my fault on that. As I stated the work is good but their charges are unacceptable. ( edit after owner response) I did not shop around because first we had to find the leak and i had a shut off valve i could turn the water on and off in the house as needed. Dave put me in touch with the person for that. He came out Friday and then said he would tell Dave where the leak was and that I was very lucky. They would only have to cap a line and run 4-6 ft of pipe right at the capped area and the fix shouldn't take long. I called Dave Monday to see if they had talked and how much it would be. He hadn't talked to the person that found the leak yet, but said he would send his guys out Tuesday morning to see what he had found. Dave then called me back after he had talked to the guy that found the leak and told me based on that info it would be no problems and an easy fix. When the guys showed up and saw what the problem was they too told me how lucky I was and how it would be ""super easy and quick"". That is why I forgot to ask right then for an estimate. This is why i did not shop around. The owner is right on how much a ""typical"" slab leak costs, upon my research a slab leak starts at that price minimum, if they have to cut into the floor or tunnel under the house, which requires tool rentals and is time consuming and labor intensive. My job did not require any of that. I let the work proceed because the guys told me how fast and easy it is and how lucky i was they would have to do the normal work for a slab leak. That is why when I got the invoice and saw the charge I was confused because it was at the low end for a normal slab repair. It was not broken down at all to explain to me exactly what I was being charged for. there are 3 things listed that were done and a total in the bottom corner under ""Parts and Labor"" as stated before when I asked for it to be itemized i was told that it was. He told me how much labor was. that is stated above it's not listed on the invoice. I can't understand being charged $455 for parts that I listed above. I did not call the owner because I've never found it would help and didn't think it would change anything. I should have gotten them to tell me how much it was going to cost before I let them begin the work. I was excited to have my water back operating normally. They owner states it's costs that much because of his liability, the tools required, the warranty he provides... This is why i have no problem paying $130 an hour for their labor to cover these costs. Itemize the invoice and show me where my money is going is what I asked on site. I was told no. I'm not going to argue there about it. The work was complete, I said before i take responsibility for not getting a estimate before work began. I paid the invoice. Once the money is paid there is 0 chance calling would do anything. i would have gotten the same response over the phone that the owner left here. That is the reason i left this review. To let people know that they should get a written estimate from the company so they know what they are being charged for. The work was great, the staff friendly. I did not have 5 days to shop around like he states because i didn't have a starting point for price and there was a weekend. I left this review because it's the only power we as consumers have to protect and help each other and learn from others mistakes. (response to owner edit) You have a right to earn a living, I am not ""butt hurt"" because you handed me a bill. I was upset and concerned that your employee didn't, when he handed me the invoice, and you still won't itemize and explain the charges. What's the $455 for after you subtract the labor charge? You aren't just earning a living if you charge whatever you think you can and not have to explain it. I should just feel lucky you didn't charge me more like other plumbers would is your answer. $130 an hour and even up selling parts by by 20-25% is a good living to be earning.. When you just charge whatever without explanation and not feeling you have to that's more than just earning a living. You play the victim when you're the perpetrator.

I was so nervous to call a plumber because every time I've seen someone call a plumber, the problem is either made worse or not fixed - NOT THE CASE HERE.

These guys are SO nice and so professional! They came out and fixed my clog in less than an hour, even stayed around to ensure that everything was flowing as it should. They explained everything as they were doing it, just because I was curious and interested, not as if I was some stupid woman. They gave me tips to help keep my drains flowing in the future as well. They're also completely affordable and up front with their pricing / quotes.

I'll never use anyone else. Hands down the best.

I can't begin to tell you how AMAZING the customer service I just received. A couple days ago my rental property had a backed up line. My usual plumber wasn't available and then the back up plumber was busy too. So I gave Affordable Plumbing a call to get taken care of the same day! They came out and snaked the line and got things unclogged. Unfortunately the line became clogged again this morning. I called them back to get them to come back out. Even though they initially said they were booked all day Dave took the time after hours to run down and work in the line again all at no additional cost (because it was under the first repairs warranty).

I've had a very challenging week and this experience has helped bring my stress levels down a bit.

Do yourself a favor and give Dave and his crew a chance, you won't regret it. I sure haven't.
