Mark Bartram came out as scheduled and was very knowledgable about replacing our older boiler. He was very professional and took pictures. Diversified was one of three recommended companies for Weil McClain.
Perfect job every time! Nick is the best! We have them work on furnace water heater air condition
Excellent work!
Great service, professional, efficient. They let you know when they will arrive, who is coming, and send the service persons photo. Always clean up after they are finished. I would highly recommend them.
They helped my landlord same day, so that was nice. But, the technician tracked mud throughout my entryway, dining room and kitchen. I have soil in my basement, but I don't think it would have taken that long to put new booties on before walking upstairs - and I even asked my landlord to request that, but I still had a huge mess to clean up. I have no idea about quality of service or friendliness because my landlord interacted with the tech - but I'm not really happy about the disrespect shown to my home. The picture attached is the mud all swept up before I disposed of it. That's quite a pile of dirt/mud.
Technicians came out to do routine maintenance on my furnace last week. The furnace was working fine but needed to be cleaned. A few hours after they left I noticed it was getting cold inside. I called Diversified and a technician came back. He said he knew exactly what was wrong. He told me I may need an approximately $300 part if the pilot light didn't stay lit. Later that night I found myself learning how to light the pilot - a skill I used many times over the next few days. I called again to explain what was happening and was told I would have to pay an additional service charge to have someone come out. I tried to explain that the furnace was working fine until they ""cleaned"" it. I found someone else to come out and diagnose the problem. It was a dirty pilot assembly. He cleaned it and found white ash in the assembly which caused a weak pilot flame that blew out whenever the furnace came on. It has been running perfectly since then.
I used DHC for many years...moved out of state for 10 years and have been using them since I moved back to the Detroit area. They are the best. They are very professional, responsible, competent and never leave the job unfinished. I always feel that I am in good hands and trust them completely. I can not recommend them enough!
Rick S.We selected DHC when we needed a new furnace because they listened and didn't try to sell me on a new AC unit. All the other companies said you 'had to do them at the same time'. DHC said 'why'? They keep the older AC unit (not their brand) going and I had the time to find and select a new unit.
I never used to have these 'annual checks' done until we had DHC. The other company (R&M...) did a fast, perfunctory look at things but never caught the bad stuff so I just did them myself.
DHC checked everything by the book. This last visit Nick found a mouse nest in the outside air intake AND a bad ignitor. He called and DHC brought the part so it could get fixed while he was here. Both were biggies and would not have been spotted without the detailed checking Nick did.
They also thought through and found a way around an inadequate duct system (from M&R) that made our second floor much warmer and cooler and that saved us money. No one else suggested that. NO ONE.
Good people, good company.
Tim H.Had an issue with our pilot light not staying lit. It was during subzero weather and we needed service. The technician arrived quickly and solved the problem giving us some options on how much we were wanting to spend for a repair. It was in the middle of the COVID outbreak and the technician wore a mask which was very good to see.
We had a terrible experience with this company. We had them out to service our furnace on 12/18. After the furnace was repaired and put back together, it made a loud vibration noise. After dealing with the noise that night, we called the company the next morning. The man on the phone was extremely rude and unhelpful. After two calls, he agreed to send a service tech out again. He sent the same person out. So again, she looked at the furnace and this time, hassled my husband because he didn't want to pay for a $600 part that was causing the noise. After that visit, I called and asked to speak to an owner of the business. Again, the same man taking calls was extremely rude and condescending. He actually told me that he would ""leave a little note"" because my message wasn't important. That was 12/19. Today is 12/28 and I have yet to receive a call back. In the mean time, we called someone else to come out and look at our furnace. When he opened up our furnace, he immediately found the problem. The tech from Diversified H & C had put a part on backwards and stripped a screw that was holding it in place, which is why we were hearing a vibration. He replaced the screw and installed the piece properly and the noise stopped.
Had we trusted the tech from Diversified H & C, we would be out an additional $600 for replacing a part that wasn't broke. I understand that people make simple mistakes and that is the attitude that I had trying to get this resolved but we were treated so poorly by their customer service rep and their service tech. We would never recommend this business.
Very professional and honest company. The owner, Mark, is very patient and knowledgeable and he took the time to explain exactly what the problems were with my furnace/water heater, although i'm sure my job was ""small potatoes"" compared to some of the larger jobs they likely handle. Mark and his technicians were always on time and very thorough. I am very satisfied with my experience with this company and wouldn't hesitate to use them again
