They set an appointment without notification and then tried to charge for a missed service call. I explained and they were rude but agreed to reschedule.

They took forever to send a quote for the job. I tried to follow up, but they just kept putting me off. Then when I let them know I had to hire someone else, they produced a very high quote and prompty billed again for the ""missed"" service call.

I was nothing but nice to them, but the woman I dealt with was really nasty. No one needs this kind of grief.

Be very cautious when dealing with this business. He colluded with my downstairs neighbor to charge me $300/hour for a side job that should have been reported to the neighbor's insurance company. It was a NON-emergent matter that should have been processed through the homeowner's insurance. They created so much unnecessary confusion and got an extra $500 from me because they didn't feel like dealing with the insurance company. They did not do a proper inspection of the issue with an insurance adjuster. They padded the bill that should have been submitted to insurance and coerced me into paying it. Any professional with integrity would have known that was not the correct process, but he didn't want to deal with insurance and they took advantage of my kindness. VERY disappointed. If they had a conscience, they would pay back that money to me. I can't even find a correct address for the business or a website.

I will never recommend this company to anyone. My central air unit/heater system was not blowing thru the vents. I called Distefano and Rob came out to my home. He walked down to the furnace then outside to the ac unit and was scratching his head....he told me he didn't know what was wrong with it and that it felt cool in my house to him! I told him my son thought it was the capacitor as it was doing the same thing previously. Ron replaced the capacitor and put 1 pound of freon in my central air unit. The air was coming thru a little more so I was hopeful it was fixed. A few hours later, it stopped blowing air all together and when I checked the furnace, the pipes were solid ice! Rob and Mark came to my home the next day and were there for approx 1 hour and a half. Talking....putting more freon in my unit....testing it with a gauge....did absolutely nothing else and I got a bill for $275!!!!!! The first visit I was billed $133. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF LIKE I DID!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT USE DISTEFANO PLUMBING IN HAMILTON!! THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING, THEY DO SHODDY WORK, AND THEN THEY CHARGE FULL PRICE TO CLEAN UP THEIR MESS!!!
These so- called plumbers apparently didn't measure properly, had to fix my new shower 3 times, and then wouldn't discount the work because ""my walls aren't square"" which they didn't say when they came out to measure the space, nor did they mention that when they first installed the shower, so my assumption is that that's their excuse to do a horrible job and still charge full price. Waste of my time and money! AND when they came out to fix it for the 3rd (and last because I will NEVER call them again) time, they got caulk on my rugs (instead of asking my fiance to get them out of the bathroom - we had no idea they were going to take apart the entire shower and make a mess everywhere), they got caulk on the new shower I just paid them for, so I had to start scraping it off with my nail (trying not to ruin my new shower doors), they didn't re- caulk around the drain even though I told them that the caulk around the drain also collapsed so I'll have to fix that too, and when I asked for a $500 discount, she pretty much laughed at me and said they already lost money on the job so I would not be compensated further. Well, HAD THE JOB BEEN DONE CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME THERE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE! To anyone that had a positive experience, you must have been lucky because these people are awful!!!!!

Stay away!!! I have never left a negative feedback for anyone or any business. That should tell you how unhappy I am. Your hard earned money is best spent elsewhere.
