So happy with Discount! They installed our sewer lateral line to the middle of the street, using the cost-sharing program through the City of San Mateo. These guys rocked the work. They ran into issues, and immediately had solutions. The asphalt patch in the center of the street is beyond professional, all my neighbors thanked me for hiring such a great firm. They had to replace part of my driveway/sidewalk, again, amazing, seamless work. Their prices were super reasonable, their organization/front office/estimate people were so nice, so helpful, and answered all my questions fast and accurately. No BS, just really nice people. I especially loved working with Adi Joaquin in project management, she's THE BEST. Whatever I needed, she was there. I will definitely be hiring these people in the future. Great work! Great prices! Antonio came to help us in May and I'm just realizing that I never left a review. I haven't had a great experience with plumbers so I try to do some of the simple things myself, but we had a consistently plugged kitchen sink that I just wasn't able to clear myself. We checked a lot of services and actually had two different plumbers who were also highly reviewed come and try to help us first.

We were pretty desperate by the time Antonio came to check it out. Right away, I could tell he had way more experience than the other folks. I also appreciated that he was very honest and explained the situation well while also not making any promises about anything he wasn't sure about.

It was looking doubtful for a moment, but I definitely think Antonio's experience helped us to clear our issue in one visit. He is really hard working and efficient. He also spent way more time with explaining things to me than he needed to. He ended up needing to use a drain augur on our drain from two different locations in addition to needing to use the hydro jet. He was great about double checking to make sure that everything was clear before he left. We have only lived in the house a year and I couldn't believe the amount of gunk in the drain. The house is older so I have no idea what the folks put down the drain before, but I'm pretty sure Antonio made them as good as new. The hydro jet made a bit of a mess, but Antonio did an amazing job cleaning up too.

Overall a great experience and I would definitely call Antonio again if I ever have any issues.

I have used other plumbing companies over the years which were super expensive and sometimes shady. Discount plumbing sent Efrain Palafox who was professional and very competent. Will use Discount pluming again.

I almost never write reviews, but these guys were fantastic. I would absolutely use them again and will enthusiastically recommend them to my friends. They provided outstanding service, they were scrupulously honest, and they were friendly. What more could I ask for?

OUTSTANDING SERVICE - At first they told us they might not be able to repair our clogged sewer line for several months due to a heavy preexisting workload, but they offered to periodically clean up the mess at no extra cost if the sewer backed up before they could fix it. Then they managed to slot us in long before we expected and finished the job in only 2 1/2 days. Another plumber had told us it would take 6 days. The sewer runs under our back patio, which is concrete made to look like brick. They had to break the concrete to replace the pipe, and we worried it would not look good afterwards. The concrete specialist they sent did a terrific job - I never imagined that the repaired patio could look as good as it does now (see pictures). Throughout the process, the communication from Discount Plumbing was excellent.

HONEST - Before they broke our concrete patio to get to the blocked sewer pipe, they believed they would have to replace all 127' of it, which was going to be VERY expensive. Once they got started, they informed us that about 1/3 of the pipe was in excellent condition and not in need of replacement. We REALLY appreciated their honesty about this, and it saved us a considerable amount of money.

FRIENDLY - Every person with whom I interacted was extremely friendly, especially Connor and Adan. They were all a pleasure to deal with.

When our water heater wouldn't light up, we called them on a Saturday afternoon and they were at our house in half an hour. Marcus was super friendly and professional and got it working again for a reasonable price. Great service!

Discount Plumbing was no discount in price but service and quality were top notch. We had three plumbers come out to our house for a kitchen sink clog. The first company tried to snake and misdiagnosed the clog. Our home warranty company suggested hydrojetting. Discount plumbing quoted us a higher cost than the other companies. We went with them because the plumber seemed responsible and took extra measures. At the end of the day, we were glad we went with discount plumbing. The hydrojetting did not completely resolve the issue but our plumber would not leave until the pipes were cleared. He called out two other plumbers who all worked with confidence and experience to remove the grease ball from the basement pipes. Now, 45 days out, kitchen sink is working well. I am sure the other companies would have overcharged us for the extra time and work that was not planned.

Although our plumber was fully covid-19 vaccinated, he had no issues wearing a mask and taking precautions since we have unvaccinated children in the house.

Carlos showed up on time and was great. He wore shoe covers and a mask. He gave me a very reasonable estimate before starting the work. I had a clogged sink. It sucked! He did a great job and was very friendly while performing the work. He finished the job in less than an hour. I'd recommend this company to anyone and Carlos to anyone.

Now I'm free to shave and brush my teeth with running water again. Hooray!
