Called Discount Plumber (among others) on a Tuesday 9am. They were one of 2 plumbers that actually picked up the phone. And of the 2, they were able to send someone immediately (the other said maybe 4pm). We had a main drain backup so wanted to get it taken care of asap.

What we expected as a simple snaking turned out a bit bizarre. The snake ran into no stoppages. The camera saw no water, but we had a backup! Thanks to the dedicated Lazaro, we finally figured it out after 2 or 3 hours.

Highly recommend them - the pursuit of the truth rather than nickel and diming you on various services is helpful. Plumbing is tricky in sf since everything is underground and you can't see! Sometimes you HAVE to try a million different things to figure it out. Really glad Lazaro and Stephen were there to help.

Fred responded right away about a leaking valve a few weeks ago. He brought along Kevin C., who did a great job replacing both hot and cold valves. Quick, clean, and dry repair.

I am writing after having posted a negative review because one of the managers took time to contact me, hear about our experience and went out of his way to make things right for us. Perhaps the technician made an honest mistake when diagnosing our problem, he said he would definitely speak to him to find out what happened on their end and to resolve the problem. I felt his genuine concern for providing reputable service and so that each customer is satisfied. That is not something that happens often in today's world. So, given all of this, I've changed my rating.

Hey everybody! We have used discount plumbing several times all for different issues!
We called them out this time to look at a drainage issue a few months back and we wanted to share how pleased we were with the final replacement project!
It was easy to set up the appointment for a re-assessment and they were able to get started right away!
We requested Simon and Connor come out again and we were pleased that they came back out and were able to honor the original price they gave us a few months back! If I have any other plumbing issues in the future I will definitely be requesting for them again!

Ricardo is amazing! Showed up within 10 minutes of the dispatch message, and was able to quickly diagnose the issue, and propose a solution. Only took about 30 minutes to swap out new parts and had the toilet running like new. Also provided a free sewer inspection!
