I am writing the better business bureau on these guys. We recently had a plumbing problem at our home in Redwood City, clogged pipes, toilets not flushing well and a tech came out and unclogged the pipes and suggested we had a problem from the house to the end of our property line, not from the property line to the street which would then be a Redwood City sewer issue. We were charged $450 with a $50 discount for this. Our problem did not go away so I called another more reputable company this week and they came out and immediately diagnosed the problem as a city problem and participated in making a call with me to the city who came out and took care of it free of charge as they are supposed to do. I am a senior citizen and I want everyone to be warned of this company's practices. If we don't hear from Discount and get reimbursed we will be talking to them in small claims court.

Avo and his crew were fantastic! We had a horrible sewer issue late at night and they arrived promptly and began repairs right away even though it was dark. I don't know what I would have done without their help. They were friendly, on time, and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. The next day when they returned to continue work they were even willing to unclog my kitchen sink for free. I can't thank them enough!

Yes, they ARE as good as it gets! I called Avo after two other estimates for plumbing problems throughout my house, and he responded immediately, taking the time after hours to camera my drains and quickly assess the problems. He also took the time to meet with and explain to my insurance claims adjuster just what the issues were and began the work immediately upon approval. As crazy as it sounds, Avo's bid came in $20,000 LESS for repairs any other estimates. They were honest, thorough, knowledgeable, clean and extremely accommodating. They even did some little extras at no charge. Avo would give me regular status updates daily, putting my mind at ease. Come to find out they have done about 6 other houses in my neighborhood! Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Discount Plumbing, Avo, Tannis, Victor, Ganzalo and Jose for any of your plumbing issues. 10 STARS from me!

Discount Plumbing just finished up at our place and were Great!

We had a plumbing emergency on a Saturday night. The other 24/7 places we called were either unable to come out until Sunday, or went to voicemail and did not call back. They were able to give us a time estimate right when we called, kept us updated on their arrival [there was more than one emergency going on] and still made it out promptly.
Avo was friendly, honest, and explained everything that was going on.
The work was good, and our problems are now fixed. We are very happy with these guys. We have their name and number saved for the next time we need something done.
We are in an older house with one or two things on our future ""to-do"" list and they'll get our business.

I needed a new sewer lateral from my clean out to the main sewer line around Christmas time. When I talked to Avo, he was very knowledgeable and personable, and he and his crew, Oscar, Edoardo, Victor, and Jose, did a great job. They secured the permits needed and got the job done. Avo was very helpful and stayed on top of the job, keeping me informed of every step. His bid was in the middle of the 3 bids I got. 3 other companies never got back to me after coming to inspect the job.

I'm giving 2 stars because I actually don't know about the quality of their work. I've been waiting for 3 days for this company to contact me about my plumbing problem. I keep getting strung along with email after email saying they were going to, but no call/email at all. They may do good work, but I won't know because I won't use them if they are this unreliable at the initial contact.

After my review, I was asked to ""soften"" it due to computer problems being the reason for the lack of contact. Not sure how computer problems affect a phone but I'll change to 3 stars since I'm a nice guy.

Avo and his crew arrived within a few hours. They did an outstanding job as we had our sewage backed up. In less than 30 minutes he cleared the pipes outside the house and fixed the probelm. His price was really reasonable and he is honest. I totally trust him and would use him again.

My condo association has used Discount Plumbing twice for unexpected plumbing issues, (most recently, the replacement of a sewer line that required an open trench), and Discount will now be our go-to plumbing service for regular maintenance and any future plumbing issues that may arise. Thought I had an issue with my water heater but turned out to be something else. Regardless, I had called and spoke with Avo who was responsive and helpful.

Avo, tAnni's, and Oscar did a great job in fixing our pipes that were getting backed up right before Thanksgiving. It looked like we needed to put in cleanouts and new pipes since they hadn't been updated in our old house. Avo responded immediately the night before Thanksgiving and had the option of getting a crewmember out immediately or wait until after the holiday. He was honest in telling us that given the holidays, the immediate response would mean it would cost extra whereas if we could wait, the price would come down significantly. We opted to wait to save a bit since it wasn't an emergency, and when the crew got here, they were knowledgeable, took a look at the issue, and walked us through what they would need to do to concretely understand the issue. They gave us different options that would be available to us (both a short-term and long-term fix). The price we got was unbeatable and they did a fantastic job! They were able to replace the pipes in an afternoon, they did minimal damage to the lawn to get to the pipes underground, and they cleaned up so well afterwards that it was like they weren't even here! We would use them again for any of our major plumbing needs and highly recommend them!
