I've used Discount Plumbing and Repairs a couple times now. Each time they quoted below starting and their prices are very reasonable!!!! I know because I have dealt with some of the big names before. Anyway they have installed a couple toilets, 3 shutoff valves, dishwasher water supply line and serviced an on demand hot water heater. Each item was inline with what you pay for a professional job and not overpriced. They are my go to people for my plumbing needs

I booked this company solely due to Yelp. They were fast to respond, came to the house, quoted the work - all within 24 hours. My husband and I felt good about our decision to use them. Our shower cracked and had to be replaced. The plumber could come out within a week but his repair contractor for the walls/tile was booked for a month so we waited for a whole month with the promise we would get them on back to back days. (So note, 1 shower for 4 people for a month ) No such luck as the contractor, by his own admission, booked extra, last minute work and delayed our job by 4 additional days. Ok, irritating but things didn't get better. The plumber installed a new shower floor for us as promised. I questioned the size day of because there was a 2"""" gap to my tile and was told 34x36 is correct. My husband came home and questioned it as well but this time called the owner and was told that was not correct so they had to come out again 2 days later to redo the floor. Intentional or accident - TBD. But irritating to get different answers between me and my husband. The contractor, who is not Discount, BUT who they work with and recommend was AWFUL. Besides the scheduling issues, he worked very slowly - taking almost 24 hours over 2 days to tile a 36x36 shower area and hang a door. He gave my husband attitude about installing our new door. (Side note, we were told to buy a new one to install if we wanted it because he would have to hang a door anyway, so we did.) He charged us $250 over the original estimate for the door installation and for a shelf that was discussed in advance. My husband had to fix the door after he left because it wouldn't stay closed. Also, my husband had to go back and do touch up paint all around the shower from the marks he left on our walls. In doing so, we found he used GROUT to put our baseboards on our wall. Grout. Not nails, not caulk, grout. So now our baseboards by our shower look janky. So 3 stars overall because the plumbers were nice and responsive. Hopefully the floor being the wrong size was just a whoops. BUT do not use their contractor. Get your own or do it yourself.

Michael installed a hot water heater and I was impressed with his service. He was pleasant to deal with, very polite, professional and accommodating, he understood what I wanted and provided the service. I will use them again.

Michael was assigned the job, but Shelby came by to explain that Michael was running behind, so he just wanted to stop by, check out the problem, and assure us that Michael would be arriving shortly. We explained to Shelby that between the time we called, and his arrival, the clog had come loose, and the lines were draining properly. Shelby had us flush upstairs and downstairs toilets, while he monitored the pipes in the basement. He agreed with us that the clog had evidently broken free, and saw no need for further action at this time. He saved us a lot of money, and we sure appreciate his honesty. If we have any further issues, we will definitely be calling Discount Plumbing and Repair. Thank you Shelby!

Mason and Michael had their masks. They came in ready to work, and work.. they did! They told me all of the possibilities of my water backup problem which was very scary financially, and then took steps to check the problem was not the worst. When they finished, it was GREAT news and I was ecstatic! They did a WONDERFUL job by using another, and more assuring method of snaking out my lines, flushed the lines twice, turned on the washing machine, and NO MORE CLOG, and no expensive pipes to replace! They were HONEST! A RARE thing for THESE days. I GREATLY appreciate what they did! The cost was VERY reasonable. I WILL BE using them again. I HIGHLY recommend them! THANK YOU Mike and Mason! friendly and honest. I called about needing a new faucet stem for a tub shower. They told me that the cost would depend on how many stems they had to replace. They showed up when they said they would. The only had to replace one stem. The other 2 were still good. It was a very good experience. I'll use them again for sure.
