We've been using discount since 2009 & we have had nothing but great service. Their teks have had to do some educating as far as what you don't put down the sink. The prices are fair and the work is quick & the teks are very polite. Dedicated customer right here!
Thanks again guys, you are very professional & caring!

My mom called Roger out from Discount Plumbing for a quote on tree roots in a clogged sewer. Roger came out and at the time was polite and gave her a quote on an immediate fix (snake the sewer) as well as a quote for a clean out. He claimed to be a competent, experienced, master plumber. He stated he could locate her sewer line in just a couple of minutes and would be able to map it for a clean out the same day he did the temporary fix. The work was not performed that day by Roger. That weekend, the weekend after thanksgiving, we were forced to call their 800 number to have someone come out because the sewer was backing up into the shower. At the time Roger stated he wasn't available and stated they could send someone out to properly perform the snake job and there wouldn't be any issues. About an hour later Matt showed up, he was here for all of 5 minutes. He climbed on the roof to snake the sewer and didn't even pull anything out. He had the nerve to tell her that it must have just been clogged toilet paper that he dislodged when he put the auger down the sewer. He was also completely incapable of locating the sewer line and stated that would have to be done later by someone else, of course at another charge. My mom was already charged for the price of 2 plumbers ($260) when all she got was a rookie plumber and an idiot associate who didn't do anything but watch Matt climb on the roof. The next week she called Roger out to locate the sewer for the clean out. When he came he was rude and condescending, he made sure he pointed out the fact that my mom did not have the work performed the first day he came. He truly had the nerve to try and charge extra when she was already told that locating the sewer would be included in the original quote to snake the drain. He had the nerve to argue with my mom on her front porch getting loud and making a scene for the neighbors. She asked him to leave and closed the front door on him. We contacted another plumber who not only agreed to do the clean out at a cheaper price but also gave us information about the city and what is legal and what is not. I have never experienced such cheats who are just trying to get a dollar out of someone without proper work. Past plumbers have come out to snake the drain and have been incredibly successful, pulling large roots out and doing the job for a fraction of the price we were charged here. I WILL be contacting the BBB and making a complaint as well as requesting ALL of our money back from the company. We still have issues with our sewer and this is currently an ongoing problem being taken care of by a better, more professional, more reasonably priced company. I would never recommend this company to anyone at anytime!

I'm sad to say that I was taken by this company. Don't ever use them. The work was fine but the cost was outrageous. I had the drain lines on my house replaced. I was told it was a big job and would take a day and a half. It was about $300 in parts and then they only worked 5 hours. It came to $330 per worker. This cost me about $1500 more than it should have. They didn't itemize their bill and I was told that's how they do it. I'll be calling the licensing agency to have them investigated. They even tried to get me to pay another $450 to replace a 2 foot section of PVC pipe. Horrible and unethical company. Maybe small claims court can fix my situation. We'll see.

Frank Hampton is the most humble and hardworking guy you got and he is respectful of his enviroment when he enters your house he smiles conversates and treats you like he is there for you and he gets thebjob done right the first time..in my own words he may be the ambassador of plumbers..lol...but yea ge did a great job and he gave honest estimate along with his honest work. Thanks Frank i wont be dancing on the toilet doing the nae nae any more.

Please don't use them. They never call you back when you call them with a problem. When I called, I asked if there was a premium cost because it was a holiday weekend, they sad no. Frank came out, played with the heater for a few minutes and told me I needed a new heater to the tune of $1600.00, which he said was the going rate. To say the least I was overwhelmed. I had to make a call and borrow some money. After I did, he proceeded to remove the heater. That next Tuesday, my work had a plumbing problem, I asked the plumber how much his company charged to replace a water heater and he told me $750.00. To say the least I was floored. My son called Discount Plumbing and got no where with them. So I called and talked with Don, whom I believe to be one of the owners or at least someone in charge. He told me he had to talk with Frank and would get back to me on Monday, I have not heard from him yet!
He also asked if I expected them to make a little money on the job and I said yes but not tri8ple what the heater cost. He told me the cost of the heater was $500.00. Of course I said yes but not triple what the heater cost. He said they had to replace a couple things on the heater but I do not believe they replaced anything because the hoses and fittings are still dusty and dirty. So say the least, Frank is very kind, funny and seemed to be very caring...Just don't turn your back to him because he is sticking a knife in it as he speaks to you. I am an older woman and feel Frank took advantage of that fact. $1100.00 is quite a mark up isn't it???

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!
It was Sunday and our water heater went out. My mother in law called these guys they came out and for $1600 replaced our water heater.. My husband called to complain and ""Frank"" called him back and basically made a joke of this. I will never use your plumbing agency again and I am 100% certain that you saw her Jaguar in the garage and you saw the opportunity to take advantage. But did you notice the broken windshield and all the other issues that car has? Shame on you Frank for ripping people off....shame! This company is giving my family the run around. They do not want to right their wrong. This is price gouging at its finest folks. When asked why the price was so high was informed it was for a warranty that automatically comes with the water heater..WOW Please do not give these crooks your business. **after arguing back and forth and threatening to call the BBB yes a $400 refund was given. It was not easy to get these guys to do the RIGHT thing but they finally did and gave us the refund. So do not act as if you wanted to do the right thing at first...SMH

My toilet wasn't flushing. When I went to flush it, the bowl would fill up with water really high and then just sit there for a minute and then would eventually flush after a minute or so and then the water would be really low in the bowl after. I called Discount Plumbing and spoke to Nate. Nate is a really cool guy and even told me how I could get a discount by going on Yelp or their website to save me a few dollars instead of not saying anything and letting me pay full price because I did not know about the coupons. The other awesome thing is Nate was able to get one of his guys (Jesse I think..) out to my house in about an hour from me calling, talk about accommodating. Jesse comes in and is able to fix it by holding down the handle and then says, I'll just need you to sign this paper and I'll be on my way. No charge! Talk about honest. Other plumbers may have dinged me just for them coming out but Jesse and Nate basically just said keep us in mind for the future and have a good day. Awesome interaction and experience with this company. I would highly recommend them for all your plumbing needs and will not hesitate to refer them to family or friends.

After I wrote the yelp review, someone from Discount Plumbing contacted me to let me know that they were going to refund me my money. Although I never expected this, I am happy that they have taken my feedback seriously to improve how they conduct business. The reason I am not going to give a 4 star is because I still believe a few basic measures need to be put in place such as training the staff to be able to deal with all kinds of plumbing/gas issues, investing in the right equipment to be able to detect gas leaks (pressure tester), and customer service by the field staff. Smiling at a customer and politely slapping them with a bill for unauthorized work does not mean good customer service.

For the past month I've had the new homebuyer's nightmare to contend with, but Discount Plumbing went the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of.
We had just purchased our home when we smelled gas. Called PG&E and our gas was shut off until we could fix it. Turns out, we needed our entire gas line replaced! Yikes! We fought with our awful home warranty company (Old Republic) to get it fixed for nearly a month, and Discount Plumbing dealt with the uncooperative people at Old Republic with class and great communication.
In the end, Discount Plumbing replaced our line and was extremely professional, prompt, and understanding. THANKS TO HECTOR, NATHANIEL, and PHIL FOR THE AWESOME SERVICE!

I had a small problem with a main line backup. They came out and fixed it once but it backed up less than a week later. When I called them back I thought there might be a hassle. Rodger came out fixed the problem. At NO CHARGE. Explained everything to me and answered all my questions. It is nice to have guys like Rodger out there.
