Discount Plumbing and Drain Cleaning
Company Overview
Discount Plumbing and Drain Cleaning is a locally owned plumbing service that focuses on budget-friendly plumbing and drain cleaning solutions. We charge a competitive rate of $94.00 for each drain cleaning service. Our prices remain consistent, without the need for promotional offers. Our rates are straightforward and available around the clock. There are no extra fees for evening or weekend services. Should your water heater fail or if you see water rising from your basement drain or sewer line, we can often be there in just a couple of hours. What else can we assist you with? Our offerings include water heater repair and replacement, fixing leaking shower valves, faucet repairs, water softener services, drain pipe replacements, and sewer line repairs or replacements. To sum it up, we manage all plumbing jobs affordably. Launched in 2012 with one staff member, we now employ 25 people thanks to our dedication to fair and affordable service. I established this business because I saw a need for quality service at reasonable prices. We use the same tools and possess the same skills as larger companies, but we offer our services for about half the cost.

i called them for simple irrigation valve repair. i was provided the outrageous quote for $842 for that. obviously I didn't decide to go for repair. howver I was charged $55 for trip charge. it seems the purposefully quote higher prices. I got it fixed for $220 from home advisors. avoid if possible unless you get free estimate
Brandon V.Kyle came out same day to unclog my main drain. Huge help, gave good advice on water heater and went above and beyond. Really good value, will def be using these guys for all future plumbing needs.
Michelle F.Chris was Great, very polite and great with my big ""scary"" dog. She can be a bit intimidating and he took it in stride like a champ. Did the work, cleaned up the mess and gave me advice on avoiding issues in the future. Greatly appreciated and recommended! Thank You Chris and Discount Plumbing and Drains!
Michael J.One month ago, I called Discount Plumbing to snake my mainline. A guy came out, spent an hour and a half complaining about how hard it was to snake my mainline and how he should be charging me more for it. Then, yesterday, my mainline backed up again. I called another company based on a neighbor's recommendation and had the job done right. (Discount plumbing used a much smaller auger than the latest sewer cleaner.) Also, Discount said they would send a person out to put a camera in the mainline, but no one ever showed up once the appointment was scheduled. I will definitely not be using this company again and do not recommend them to anyone else.
All I can say for this business is that my experience was FANTASTIC!!! I have been in my home for almost 22 years and had several different jobs done, including plumbing and have never been so pleased, as I was with the work done by Clint. He had to remove a difficult ""clog"" in addition to repairing some damage done by another company, which attempting to do what Clint did so well! Clint also laid down protection/coverings and did not leave any kind of mess for this 77 year old ""Senior"" to clean up!
Karl O.I called for an estimate because my kitchen sink faucet had low pressure on the hot water side. The homepage of their website advertises ""Free Estimates 7 Days a Week,"" so I decided to give them a try. When setting up the appointment, I asked to confirm the free estimate and was assured of it. Before the plumber John arrived, he called me and asked what was going on with my faucet. I told him, and then he told me I needed a new faucet and shut-off valve, and quoted me $1100. I was perplexed as he hadn't even been to my home and seen my situation yet. He got short with me at that point and said, ""I've been doing this five years and know what I'm talking about, so that's what it's going to cost."" I then asked him about the free estimate. He informed me that the phone consultation was my free estimate and once he arrives at my home it will cost a minimum $95 for the in-person estimate regardless of whether or not I hire them to do the job. Upon arrival, John didn't wear a mask or even ask if he should, even though both my girlfriend and I were wearing them. He also didn't bother taking his boots off and tracked dirt through the house. We found that very disrespectful. It got worse from there. John barely looked at my faucet and didn't even touch the shut-off valve before telling me I needed a new faucet and shut-off valve for the hot water side. He then told me it would be $1100, plus $95 for the estimate, totaling $1195 for a new faucet and shut-off valve that he didn't even check out! He said he had the new faucet in his truck, but that our faucet water filter wouldn't fit on it, and continued into a ridiculous diatribe against faucet water filters and how they don't actually filter the water. At that point, I told him I didn't want him to do any work and he quickly asked for my credit card to charge me the $95 ""Free Estimate."" Afterwards, I called the company and was told there's no charge unless they open a wall. They did refund my estimate charge, but I had to call and complain about the experience to get the refund. The next morning, my girlfriend opened the hot water line to the faucet and cleared out some gunk causing the water pressure problem. The faucet and shut-off valve both still work just fine. I do NOT recommend this company!
Nick H.Called Discount Plumber on Monday because my tub was clogged and took a while to drain. quoted me $149. Tuesday came around and the guy working on my pipes broke 2 of them. (They we're old is his reason- whatever) He was banging on the pipes SO LOUD it could be heard in my backyard. Spent SIX hours at my place. The job wasn't finished and I was charged $400 with a promise a new 'guy' Would come tomorrow and fit it.
Wednesday comes and the new person is complaining about the first guys work. Says it's going to be $2200 to fix; but he will take off $400. Spent the next six hours ""fixing"" my pipes, ends by saying ""you can use your tub, it will have a slow drain but the pipes are fixed. I'll try and have someone come tomorrow and fix the leak 'for free' "". My daughter takes a shower and not only is the tub not draining, but I now have THREE leaking pipes (one is almost pouring water out)
I've never had a leaky pipe in my basement. I declined their offer to send a 3rd guy out 'for free' today and will be showing pictures to the Atrorney General. Their is plumbers glue all over the new pipes too. Completely unprofessional.
THIS IS LITERALLY A NIGHTMARE ! Please avoid this place at all costs. I am honestly shocked at this level of ineptitude.
i have videos of the leaks but only allowed to post photos.
Jason H.Chris came out today to unclog my bathroom sink...he was courteous, professional and a pure pleasure to work with.
It's so hard to find a good contractor and/ or plumber, but these guys are the best!
I've had plenty of bad experiences, but I'm sticking with these guys for life and so should you!
Much appreciated and thanks again Chris and everyone at Discount Plumbers!
Had the plumber come out to clean tub drain. Problem is they charge for what they call a drano fee, $50. Problem, didn't use any drano, wont refund the 50. Scam. Many other honest and cheaper plumbers in area
Ryan F.They came over and barely looked at my sink and faucet the quoted me $500 to fix it and said it'll take an hour or two. I found a YouTube tutorial on basic faucet fixes and went to Home Depot to get the parts I needed. All in all I spent $80 and 30 minutes to fix the problem. I have zero previous experience fixing plumbing so I was extremely annoyed.
