Miranda B.I don't usually leave reviews but I'm throughly impressed with my service. I will be using them for all my future plumbing and heating needs. First they were able to get me on the schedule same day for a leak repair. I was a little surprised that I had to pay a fee upfront for the call out but I figured lots of service business ask for deposits so I decided it was fine. Second the front desk called me to let me know my technician was going to be a little past our scheduled time. Then a few minutes later my technician called to let me know his eta. They also sent me a text message with his picture and name saying he was on his way. Third my tech Peter let me know what he was doing and why. He was very thorough in finding the source of the leak. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be requesting him for all of my future repairs. Fourth I felt the service charges were reasonable especially for the amount of time spent. Apparently they use a flat-rate pricing module instead of charging by the hour. I appreciate that as looking for a leak can be a lengthy process
I felt like I was doing business with the 3 stooges. They told me they had forwarded my estimate to my home warranty so that the service could be paid through my insurance. When I followed up with the home warranty 2 days later they said they had not yet received an estimate or diagnosis report. When I called discount plumbing back they said they were having trouble sending it, Well why did you tell me you sent it two days prior?? So I asked them to fax it. They said they don't have a fax machine. Really? I had to have them email me and I had to forward the info to my insurance company. Well, then they only emailed me the amount they were charging me but not the diagnostic. I had to call them and request the diagnostic. She said the guy was on a job and would take care of that when he got back in from the field. I asked why didnt the diagnostic get sent the day you guys cane out. The response was we have never dealt with this home warranty company before. But isn't it a general custom to send the diagnostic with the estimate??? I shouldnt matter whether you have done business with the home warranty company in the past or not. Common sense! It's going on a week with no hot water. And they don't give refunds...ugh!
Replaced water boiler thru them. Excellent and fast service, friendly installation team. I am happy with outcome, would recommend this company to all of my friends.
Dixie D.I have used this company for maintenance on several systems, forced air, hot water baseboard, and a newer space age energy efficient system. They have been timely, well priced, performed their service to a level of no further problems. The service people have given me a thorough run down of what was done and any problems. I would recommend this firm for regular maintenance especially before you have problems.
Don't expect them to show up or communicate with you. I called and made a request at 1:00am based on their website stating 24 hour service. I was sent a text telling me that they would be out between 2:00 and 4:00am. They didn't show so at 5:00 I called them back and they said they would check the status. 8:00am and still nothing so I called them again. This time they sent a text with a new window between 8:30 and 10:30am. Here it is 1:30pm and still nothing.
1st off the so called mechanic was working on our heating unit and I told him if the tahoe need to be moved if he was going to be taking or move parts out. He said no just cleaning out the fan. Next thing you know he takes the fan out and drops it on my car leaving a huge indent on the gate. I seen him drop it and not once he said anything, so I said let me move the car, He said yeah its gonna be a min. Still havent said anything about the indent. Moved the car outside and took some pics and just pissed that this happened. Went in to inform the so called mechanic and he said oh yeah it was just a "" little scratch."" I said hell no its a damn dent and some scratches. He came outside and said oh thats not bad. ""I know a guy"" smh. I said I dont care who you know. I know a cerified shop that you guys will be paying to fix it. Called the office to let them know the situation and they said they will called in a few days. Bullshit. I went in the next day due to it being late the day before and showed them the damage. No pictures were taken and the so called owner had the nerve to offer me 500 cash to make it go away. This dumbass must be stupid and uneducated to think someone would ever take it. 2 months laters finally gets it to the shop. 2 weeks later car is done but... Scam mechanical didnt call the shop to pay for it. Even after the shop called them 3x that day and all they said was the manager will call back. Bullshit again...I called the Scam mechanical at 419pm that I need my car out after their fuck up and it just needs to be paid for. The not so bright lady on the phone said, ""oh well I can have my manager call you tomorrow because they are out of the office."" I said nope I am not leaving here until your manager calls here to pay the shop today not tomorrow beacause I need my car. 20 mins later we are out of the shop. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHADY PLACE.
Showed up and billed me $330 and did nothing except walk in, look at a leak that I had stopped and told me they'd schedule the repair for later in the week. Honestly was there about 2-3 minutes. Karen, their secretary, was great in trying to help, but was not able to do anything due to the owner. The company overall will rip you off. The plumber they sent was useless.
I requested maintenance for my furnace that had not been cleaned or checked in a number of years. The company sent Raven to complete the job. I thought Raven explained the problems she noted well and did not try to scare me into immediately replacing my 21 year old furnace. Raven arrived on time and presented herself in a very professional manner. She easily answered the questions I had and quickly discovered the reason the furnace was making so much noise. I was very happy with this service call and felt happy as I felt Raven explained all of the problems with the old furnace in a manner that was easy for me to understand. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend Raven as a great furnace technician.
This should be called Scammer Mechanical because they overcharge and don't know what they're doing! I got charge up front for their first mechanic to waste 2hrs and buy a part that is not even broken. Then the part came and it didn't fixed the issue! We wasted 2 weeks for these AH! Parts are 2x or 3x expensive and lie about shipping speed. I cancelled my service and called Alkota, the mechanic came and knew what was wrong in less than 15mins and they didn't charge me for the visit! Alkota fixed my boiler and the parts was half the price these Discount scammer Mechanics quoted me! F them.
