I had a horrible experience with Discount mechanical and would recommend staying away from this company. I called because I had a clogged drain. The technician came to my house tightened the trap under the sink and then told me they don't do rudder work and they don't unclog drains. I was charged an hours worth of work. I listened to the recording with the technician and I specifically asked for help with a clogged drain and they failed to let me know that they do not unclog drains. I was charged a 145 dollars to tighten a T Trap.They are a worthless plumbing company that doesn't do plumbing. When I talked to the office manager she acknowledged the error on her staff for not informing me about the fact they don't unclog drains. She said she would reimburse me for 1/2 hour of service. When she called me back she said she would not reimburse anything after talking to the owner. I told her to have the owner call me back but the owner was too much of a coward to call me back.

Did not show up wearing a mask, I had to ask for them to put it on during our worst spike with Covid 19. It's mandatory to wear a mask to go in public places, so it should be mandatory to wear a mask when you are going from household to household for work. And he took the mask off while working after I had asked him to put it on. At this point I could care less if the work is good this is my life and my families lives at stake

Never never never use this business!! After waiting 2 days for the plumber, he came to our house and looked at our boiler and then told us he didn't have the parts and our entire heating system piping had to be ripped out and redone We only needed heat in one of our zones! Upon leaving, he charged $145 for coming to our house. Discount mechanical is a rip off! If you need a plumber find someone else

Horrible communication all around. After the technician showed up last night w/ no parts in hand to fix my water heater (previously ordered), I was told that the Manager Scott said I could make an appointment for anytime today that worked for me and he would be here himself. I chose the ""first appointment this morning"", to which I was given a 1030 time. At 1030 w/ no tech/Manager at my house I called the office to be told Scott was in a meeting. I asked when he would be here for my 1030 appointment, I was placed on hold. Office staff came back on the line and said Scott just left to the warehouse to pick the part up, he would then be to my house in 25 mins. WHY did I even make an appointment!? WHY did the tech/Manager Scott say he'd be here at 1030!? Why did the tech/Manager Scott not pick the part up before my appointment!? Why did I have to call the office earlier in the week (Tues/Wed) to check & see if the part had arrived yet, only to be told it had!? How long was this part sitting there prior to me calling!? This place needs to accept accountability and fix all the things wrong w/ it. Who runs this crap show & where is the over site!? Unacceptable customer service and half-fast mechanical service. I certainly wouldn't choose this place if given the option. Unfortunately, for me I have a home warranty and they contract w/ Discount Mechanical. I assume my home warranty contracts w/ the lowest bidder, and in this case you absolutely get what you pay for....

We were forced to use Discount Mechanical for a 2nd Opinion because our HSA Warranty didn't agree with the cost of the first plumber's diagnosis/repair estimate. Our water heater was leaking, had already caused significant damage to our basement, and Discount Mechanical said they could come out on Tuesday to do a diagnosis. This 2nd opinion was ordered on a Friday morning. They finally were able to ""squeeze"" us in and showed up around 4:00 pm Friday. As of 12:30 Saturday afternoon, they still had not submitted their diagnosis to HSA, despite multiple calls from us and HSA. In the meantime, our water heater continues to leak, with us having to vacuum water out of a shallow pan every hour to try to prevent further damage to our basement. They are untimely, unreliable, and unresponsive to calls, with no consideration of their customers' needs at all. Do not recommend this provider.

Giving 5 stars for professionalism, integrity, and expertise in our convoluted boiler system (Triangle Tube). Since 2019 we have called them out three times and each visit was completely satisfactory. Quick response and first call resolution is so much appreciated.

Giving four stars for scott who went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. First guy they sent quoted us for parts we didnt need. Scott came and did the correct repairs. I had some problems after the fact and he came on a Saturday, fixed the problems to include issues that I created on accident. Not sure about the company, but Scott was fantastic.

I was forced to use Discount because of HSAhome warranty. The initial visit went fine and Scott accurately diagnosed a broken heater. He told me a number of ways my new heater could be installed and wasn't decided on which way they'd do it. After the estimate was submitted I was notified I would have a large out of pocket cost. This was not all Discounts fault as HSA has ways of making sure they cover as little as possible due to verbiage. What made me ultimately decide on getting another contractor was the lack of answers for some of the costs in the estimate. They quoted me 2-3x what venting costs, as well as attempting to gouge me on a scissor lift rental and ""complications"" charge. The technician explained to me that the complications cost was an undetermined amount that was necessary for the technician to work from and orient themselves to the equipment. Apparently Discount technicians do not know how to work from or operate scissor lifts and the charge is something that is unquantifiable. After pressing him on what the charge was for the technician said its just what it costs and he didn't have the exact costs of what equipment or supplies would be, even though those should be transparent. He then proceeded to try and convince me that they don't make money on these jobs because of HSA flat rates and that I was ""holding him hostage"" by asking him what costs were that I would have to pay for out of pocket. The lack of candor and caginess on costs is the main reason I would never recommend anyone use this company if they have a choice. They didn't seem to mind that half the cost would be out of my pocket and weren't remotely interested in helping me find ways to mitigate that. Their costs ""are what they are"" and you should just accept that at face value.

Worst service company I ever used. We used this company because our HSA warranty offer them for us. First time we have problem with a gasket in our shower tub. I tell them to check it. And they said that it's not a problem that we need just put some caulk around shower switch. Like the fact water start leak again on first floor when they left. After they send third guy, that guy finally replace gasket. From the small problem they made a huge mess. They took a part of drywall from the selling on the first floor and I need to wait couple more days painters to fix it. Now I have problem with water boiler (with a pilot light). We wait more than a day when first guy came. He spend around 40 min ain't do nothing just laying on the floor and watch on the light. Than we wait 2 more days when they found new thermostat. It take them 24 min to replace it and they charge our insurance company $937. This total rip off even I didn't payed nothing from my pocket. And after that, in a same day, pilot light vent out.

I'm totally satisfied with Discount Mechanical Plumbing and Heating!! Reggie was my technician, he's extremely knowledgeable, his professionalism exceeded my expectation, he's very honest, and he explained what was needed without trying to make me pay for unnecessary things. I was highly impressed with his punctuality and his politeness. I highly recommend Discount Mechanical Plumbing and Heating.. Simply the best!!
