Guy did work and I then called him back for lien waiver and his phone was turned off. 2 days later it was back on but left numerous message and no response. I will never use him again

I had water backing up in my basement, and my brother called Discount Drain and Sewer mostly because they were close to the home. Two workers, Adrian and Joe. showed up fairly quickly. These guy were polite and friendly, so no problem there. We were quoted $200.00 to fix the problem, and they did fix the problem, so no problem there either. My issues came when it was time to pay the bill. They asked if we were quoted 200, and I said yes. Then he said it was going to be 300.00 because they had to put a new cap on the lateral line. They had broken the other cap off without even really trying to unscrew it at all, and replaced it with a 3 inch PVC end cap, which they charged me $45.00 bucks for. Then they added a 55 dollar charge and said something about the depth of water in the basement. Well, I don't really think it makes a big difference if it's 2 inches of water or 5 inches of water...you are doing the same work. It's not like the had to wear special clothes or swim down to the pipe for crying out loud.
So to wrap this up....the workers were cool, but I really felt like I got ripped off here. An extra 45 bucks for a 3 inch PVC end cap....I had taken the cap off myself about 1 year prior, so it's not like it was welded on there. They never even really tried screwing it off, just went right to breaking it off. . And then an extra 55 bucks for basically nothing.....I would seriously recommend using a different company....

Worst service EVER! The owner ""Rick"" is so rude! He made me feel stupid during our conversation. He overcharged me and did the exact opposite of what I asked. He was swearing and raising his voice in my home, in front of my children! I politely asked him to stop and he didn't. This guy has a chip on his shoulder and I will NEVER call him again! Very very disappointed.

I am single mother of three and was having some back up issues in my basement. I called my friend who is a contractor and he said it was not something he usually does but i did have him come over when Rick from discount drain came to fix the issue. My friend said he did everything excellent, getting all the permits he needed and did all of his installations up to code. I felt Rick was very nice and professional and did a great job at helping me to understand what the problem was and what he had to do to fix it. Once he was done the basement actually looked cleaner than i have ever had it! I also felt the price was very reasonable and i would recommend him to anyone with drain or sewer issues!

My experience with Rick was very satisfactory. He came promptly, explained what needed to be done, showed me the issues on video and cleaned up when the job was finished. We have a long lateral that has not been augured in sixty years. Rick scoped and augered, selected and managed the competent subcontractor who replaced over fifty feet of broken clay tile with PVC. Rick works efficiently and at a fast pace. He is courteous, and his bill was reasonable.

We have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau, and there was not much done. Here is our report to the BBB. Beware, and avoid at all costs.

I called this Company due to water backup issues I was having in my basement. They came in on August 5th and informed me that I was having problems due to tree roots. The service guy proceeded to pull out a small amount of tree roots that he left behind in a bag using a 65 foot augger. 19 days later, water was backing up in my basement once again. I called them back and informed them of the issue, at which point they told me that I had a much larger issue and that they would have to bring in one of their cameras (for approximately $200) to see what the issue was. I became a little suspicious of this and instead, I called in another Company through a referral. They came in and did the exact same service (using a 65 foot augger) and there were a ton of tree roots that had not been cleared by Discount
Drain & Sewer Cleaning. After the second company had finished their service, I informed them that I had had this done less than a month prior and they were shocked that anyone had even done anything based on how much effort usd and roots they had to clear. After hearing this, I called Discount Drain & Sewer Cleaning back to inform them of their poor service and what the other Company had found. Upon telling them this, they told me ""We'll make note of it."" I then said, ""Really, because you didn't even ask me for my name or location."" I was then hung up on.

Seriously, go somewhere else. Not worth it.

We've used these guys at two of our houses now to clean out the floor drains in the basement. Most recently on 4/21/2014. They are super fast, and got the job done. Will use them again.
