This company tried to scam me in May 2020. They told me I had broken lines and it would cost $15,000 to $20,000. My toilet would not flush, never overflowed. Quincy brought it dirty equipment that was flaking off brown stuff throughout my house. He overflowed the toilet and walked throughout my house tracking human waste in other rooms. He flooded the bathroom. He never showed us pictures of the broken line. He didn't clean anything up. The next day another plumber came out we had a clogged line $75.00 and he showed us pictures. My bathroom floors had to be replaced plus we threw away the very expensive living room rug and bedroom rug. I gave them a review on Google and Facebook then. They threatened me and told me I better watch myself. I reported them to the BBB in May 2020 and they just responded calling me a liar, so again with the names. Some of their plumbers are not licensed and they lie and do substandard work. The owners are so unprofessional and ridiculous. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

They quoted to do the repairs to a house claiming to cost $122,000 & then stated that the house was all cast iron. Stuck a camera found out that the house had some PVC like 30% PVC, which in reality the rest of the cast iron needed to be replaced. Which would only cost around 50,000-60,000.

Don't do business with these crooks.

I notice they target elderly lower class people.

Every time I go to a house an they mention Discount Drain same issues, same lies.

Our kitchen sink was backing up.
1. The 'technician' only checked the 'clean out' on the house - did not make any attempt to unstop the sink from inside the house.
2. 'Said' that he ran 100' of 'snake' - but when he ran his camera (we never saw him use the camera he only quickly went through pictures on his phone so we cannot confirm these were pictures from our house) that he could only run the camera 30', that our pipes are old and we will need to have them replaced (upsell) - he went on to say that they would recommend to Choice Warranty that our pipes be replaced - that Choice Home Warranty would pay for the work to be done and our home insurance would have to pay for the materials.
3. Unclear that he could run his snake 100' but only the camera 30'?
4. After the 'technician' (if you could call him that) left, my husband went and rented a snake from the equipment store. Yesterday he tried running 75' of snake himself but couldn't get it all in - so the technician got 100' in? I think not.
This morning my husband was able to unclog the drain in the kitchen - the blockage was not far from the sink - which the 'technician' did not attempt.

There are many cautions about not allowing Choice Home Warranty to send this company for repairs - however, I didn't see those warnings until AFTER the fact when my 'radar' went off when the 'technician' started talking about the old pipes and the need to replace them.
So, we paid $60 for the service call - and did NOT receive service.

My experience with Discount Drain was through Choice Home Warranty. A young man named Dee called me on the phone as he was on his way to the house to confirm he was nearby. My window was 11AM-3PM and he was pulling up just after 11AM. Dee was a super young man. He was courteous, personable, professional and knowledgeable. Dee was determined to fix my kitchen drainage problem, despite some not so desirable existing plumbing, as commonly found in many older homes. Dee fixed the problem and explained the cause, satisfying my own natural curiosity as to the root of the problem. He represents his employer very well. I would request Discount Drain, should I have any future plumbing repair needs. *****

This company is a big scam don't fall for their lies. They come to fix one thing but they destroy your house with out even fix it.

Their tech (Quincy) who came to clear our sewer service drain blockage - it came to notice because of impaired toilet flushing followed by impaired drainage from and back up into tub and shower - MISLEAD US by claiming that the 'snake' (augur) that he used was equipped with a camera to record images of drain pipe interior, was UNTRUTHFUL about why he (or a crew) was going to come back to replace a section of "DEFECTIVE" drain pipe (supposedly seen on his FICTITIOUS VIDEO RECORDING inside the drain pipe} which, as it turned out, had to, in fact, be done TO REMOVE A SEGMENT OF THE SNAKE THAT HE HAD LOST INSIDE OUR DRAIN PIPE due to his shabby technique.
We have conveyed to CHOICE HOME WARRANTY company that we DO NOT EVER want to deal with this company again!

While the work performed has no issues, the customer service to get to that point is horrendous.

I was connected with Discount Drain Service through my home warranty company after filing a claim. The original appointment set through the claim process was not convenient so I called Discount Drain directly to reschedule. They have all their calls routed through an answering service. I left 4 messages and not once did they ever call me. After explaining the issue to the answering service they give me a direct line. I finally got a hold of Donna at Discount Drain. She told me she needed to talk with the actual plumber to reschedule and for ME to call her back later that evening to confirm it had been rescheduled to my requested time. I expect a service provider to call me back not the other way around.

The technician still arrived during the original window and not to the time rescheduled. I managed to get home to let him do the work regardless.

A few days pass and we notice the issue is still not resolved. So I open the claim back up with my warranty company which they sent me a note saying Discount Drain would be calling me to schedule a follow-up. No call ever occurred. I had to call them days later and was scheduled (via the answering service) for Saturday 8 AM to 8 PM and that I would get a call 1 hour before arrival. After waiting 12 hours no one ever called nor showed up.

The following day I called Donna back directly (took almost 12 calls before she answered), and all she had to say was "sorry" and they will talk to the technician. She was not willing to take any ownership in the mishap. She then rescheduled me for the next day between 9 AM and 11 AM.

As I write this review it is an hour and a half beyond that window. I have been unable to get a hold of Discount Drain, no one has shown up, and no one has attempted to call me.

I have since made a formal complaint with the home warranty company recommending they drop Discount Drain as a service provider and will never do business again with Discount Drain Services.

If you are experiencing issues with Discount Drain Services, the direct line I was provided is 214-468-4667. The number they provide on their business card is only ever answered by the answering service who can only take a message.

Assigned by Choice Home Warranty.
Had a gas leak so gas company come and shut off the gas. This guy came on Tuesday did some pre-check and didn't fix the issue, saying need dispatch from office. I called "Office" more than 5 times on Wed every time log my name # and address and "will call you back" but never called me back.
Ended up staying in hotel with no gas at home. Will never use this company.

After trying to get a hold of a few places with no luck, Jerrell from Discount Drain Service called me right back and was at our house within a couple of hours. They were able to clear our blockage very quickly and showed me what was going on with a camera/scope, as they did it. Jerrell and his assistant were very pleasant and professional. Thanks, guys!

Called Discount Drain to come out to take a look at my pipes, Their VP came out, named Wilkinson. Said there was no indication of cracks on my pipes but looked like a might have a belly in one of them. Went on his whole sales pitch on how they could fix it and even said they would cover my deductible once I made in insurance claim. This already sounded like a scam to me. So I just paid him for the inspection and told him I would think about it. A week later I called the company to get a summary of what he inspected. They told me they would contact the technician that came out to get that from him. Minutes later the VP Wilkinson text's me saying I should have not had contacted the company that i should have contacted him first, needles to say he wouldn't give me a summary of his work. Sounds like he was trying to commit insurance fraud by hoping I would make a claim.
