Called them late in the evening after discovering a horrible smell in the den, explain the situation they assured me it wasn't an emergency and they could be here the next day at 7am. Wednesday morning they called me at 7am and they're where done cleaning the septic tank before 8am. The person that came was polite and respectful. Will recommend and use them again if needed.

If you have a cesspool and don't know anything about it or where it's located, the guys who work for Discount Cesspool will patiently guide you through the process!
They are very responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, we couldn't find ours so they are coming back tomorrow with a camera. It's kind of like having a house colonoscopy.
Dominick is so cute and what a personality!! He is a great supervisor! He's smart young sweet and very accommodating! He and his crew came back today which was a day earlier than scheduled. He found the septic tank and his crew dug it up and cleaned it. After the dirty work was done, he came in the house to explain the procedure and he wore his mask
I highly recommend Discount Cesspools whenever you need your cesspool serviced (as every home owner should do!! ) This should should be mandatory before selling a house and the realtor should also tell their clients to have this done once every 2-5 years. Ours hadn't been serviced in over 10 years. :(

Look no further than these guys. My personal story. Sewer main collapse 16 feet out from the house. I call at 4 they come by 6 . They figure out exactly where it is .Then they proceed to dig a 5 foot deep by 5 foot wide hole to locate the pipe .. Repair the pipe. Located under my front walkway ,which they were able to save.They were there on a Friday night till 1:30 in the morning in 34 degree weather. By the end of the night it looked like Pattons army rolled up to my house . 3 trucks 6 or more people ...... I asked Dominick if he wanted to come back tomorrow to finish up . He said no we're going to get you working tonight. I left out a lot of details but I have rarely seen determination like this. These guys are as good as they get.

I am new to the workings of cesspools/septic systems and when we had a backup in our downstairs toilet and shower, we called and they were here a short while later to snake the main line -- they were finished in no time at all. Joe definitely put my mind at ease with having this system and what's involved in keeping it running properly. I will absolutely plan on using them again in the future. Excellent service! All the guys that came here are professional, kind and knowledgeable. I didn't know where exactly my cesspool was and they didn't charge me to locate it. Only to dig to get to it/ service it. It was very easy to schedule the appt with Dom (business owner) through yelp. I will be using them for my routine maintenance on my cesspools in the future. Learned more about my cesspools from these guys than the people I bought the house from so I have nothing but nice things to say about discount cesspools !

1) Quick to respond to calls.
2) Quick to schedule and was timely with appointments
3) Came for pumping and installing a larger cap but was able to assess a much larger problem that I had. This turned into a much larger project of replacing my cesspool system all together. Might sound like i got conned into a larger project but Joe took his time to explain and show (took pictures and videos) what my current system looks like and what it should ideally be. He explained why I was having the problem that I was having and basically gave me a run down on how a proper cesspool system should work. He explained that my current cesspool was too small for the size of my family, the drainage was clogged and damaged, and I did not have a proper outlet tank to take on more water. This was helpful for someone who never had to deal with a cesspool before.
4) Price was very reasonable and competitive based on other quotes i got for pumping. They also worked with me and allowed me to use what I paid for the first project as a down payment for the larger project as opposed to just charging me more.
5) Joe kept me in the loop throughout the process of the project and explained basically everything they were doing and installing. Sent me pics to see the difference b/w the new system versus the old system. WOW!!!
6) Naturally the yard was messed up from the excavation, but they did a great job at minimizing the damage, putting the yard back together, and cleaning up the work site.

You never expect to have a sewage emergency, but when you do make sure to call these guys!! Knowledgeable, personable, competent, considerate and hard working! They came on short notice, brought a team of guys. Pivoted on the fly to bring in an excavation machine, and yes the dreaded ""crust buster"" was employed as well!

Who wants to deal with a cesspool back up during a pandemic! Well I'll tell you, NOT me and not most cesspool companies, I will tell you. One single phone call to Discount and they showed up 2 hours later. The team was well equipped, enthusiastic and was genuinely concerned about my problem.

They showed up with the latest in modern tools, pipe camera scopes and ground sensing radar to make sure my pipes were clear and to locate the cesspool in my back yard which I had lost track of based on a lot of construction. I've watched this done before ""by hand"" and its ugly and time consuming at best (and your back yard looks like a giant squirrel came over). Within a few 15 minutes of arrival there was an ""X"" in my back yard to mark the location of the cesspool cover.

A short while later they came back with a tiny excavator that did not hurt my lawn at all, they dug up the cover, installed a long collar to bring up the cover to grade. After a big pump out, they aerated and treated the cesspool and I was back in business!!!

At this point most companies get paid and are gone, Dominick, Nick and Sal all took the time to explain what I needed to do for the first few days and then proceeded to carefully put all the dirt back, grade it and then they CAME BACK the next day to cover the area with topsoil so my grass would grow back!!

I've not seen this level of service in a long time, this TRULY a classic Long Island Family run business that should set an example for all. Thank you guys for bringing a little joy to my family during a really stressful time.

First time I called this company they were very polite, friendly on the phone, thus the 2 stars instead of 1. I see the other reviews are great, so maybe mine was an exception...
They gave me a flat rate for locating and emptying 2 of my cesspools and so I scheduled the job, not an emergency.
The guy who showed up wasn't as happy sounding, maybe a bad day ... but long story short he said he can only find one cesspool and gave me a new price and was not going to keep looking for the 2nd one. Ok, why didn't you just say that on the phone?

Long story short, I had the work done and afterwards he said ""oh I think you have a 2nd cesspool... call us in the future if you have any problems."" Hmmm... ok, but he wasn't going to deal with it so fine.
Just as I was paying him he flicked his cigarette butt in my driveway before he left. WHO does he think has to pick that up???

Again, maybe I was an exception, but I did not appreciate the deal change on me once you are here, and use my driveway as an ashtray?

Had sewage backing up into our basement at 10pm, called these amazing heroes and they arrived within the hour! Literally lifesavers and worked to pump our system in the freezing cold drizzling rain. I can't give these guys enough stars. Super professional and for a great price.
