I recently worked for Jack the plumber. He can be a hard man to work for, but only because he is a perfectionist who demands things his way. I respect his work ethics and highly recommend him. I quit my job to move on to a trade I am more experienced in and I am glad to have worked for him because he taught me a little more than I already knew about plumbing. Got in touch with Dr. Plumber after reading the other reviews, and I was really happy that I did. I explained my problem over the phone and he gave me possible reasons and solutions for what I was experiencing with my water pressure. He responded as soon as he could, fixed the problem, and his price was fair. I would definately recommend him and will use his service again.

It has been over a week now since Jack completed work at our home. We had the original shower faucet / valve replace in our master bath. The original was leaking and I was unsuccessful in finding a replacement cartridge. I also was not clear on where the main water shut off valve was and I honestly didn't have time to do the work myself. I placed the project out for bid to local plumbers in the area. I then compared prices as well as reviews in BBB and Yelp. Dr. Plumber was slightly lower than others in price, but the deciding factor was he had more positive reviews in Yelp as well as responding in a professional manner the negative review.

Jack worked with me on schedule accommodating me when I had to cancel the first agreed to date-n-time and I did the same for him when the second date-n- time didn't work for him. He was prompt in contacting me during the entire process. He showed up on time to perform the work and was completed within the time he stated in the original quote. He brought all the necessary tools and equipment to perform the work. He had covers to place in the work area where he placed his tool and other equipment on. The work area was clean when he was completed with the project. Since he was going to do work that required the use of a propane torch he took precaution proving his own fire extinguisher, which I noted was charged fully. He also took the time to show me in my home where the main water shutoff valve was and how if needed replace the cartridge in my new valve.

We had only one misstep where the new valve he used was not the one we had discussed, however he pointed out the error by showing me his original notes in the quote and he offered to make amends by lowering the original price accordingly based on the difference in the type of valve used. I decided that based on his work, professionalism, and the fact that since he showed me where the main water shutoff vale for my home was as well as how to replace the new valve cartridge if needed that the original valve unit I requested didn't make much sense. I paid Jack the original agreed quote amount.

It is important in any community to support local business owners and our family tries to do so when we can. I encourage anyone reading this review to do the same.

Based on my first experience with Jack, Dr. Plumber will be my first choice for all future plumbing needs. I would recommend they be yours as well.

As a new homeowner I went into panic mode when I came home to find my sprinkler pipe burst and gushed gallon after gallon of water all over the yard and driveway. My first thought was that this is surely going to cost thousands of dollars to fix and my second thought, of course, was who am I going to call to fix this disaster at 5 pm? In a moment of calm I thought of my old neighbor Jack and his company Dr. Plumber. I found his information and put in the call. He answered right away and even though he was on another job he promised to come to my house within the hour. Was I glad to see him and his rig. Literally within ten minutes of his arrival he and his assistant, Tom, fixed the problem and had my home up and running with water once again. He informed me on how to avoid this problem from here on out so that this didn't have to happen again. As an ignorant first time home owner I was so grateful to have his guidance, but what impressed me most was his honesty and frankness of what should be addressed immediately and what can and should be addressed later on in the spring. He even looked out for the best interest of our home by suggesting to unscrew and store some of the more valuable parts of our exposed sprinkler materials that are vulnerable to theft. Not many people care that much anymore. I'm so glad to have Jack in our corner for our future plumbing catastrophes. He is a hero. Upon reading other reviews I can say that I receive the same professional and courteous treatment as his other reviewers which means he is reliably consistent! Thanks Dr. Plumber!!!

Jack was efficient, fair and professional. Came out and gave me an estimate for installing my water filter and a gas line for my BBQ. Final price was just as quoted. He and his assistant, cleaned the area after they were done and tested all parts of the new water system for leaks. Jack even measured and adjusted my water pressure.

Jack was a pleasure to have to do my work. I would highly recommend him for any plumbing job. Jack made sure his piping layout work was perfect to the eye as well as operationally sound.

Feel secure that your plumbing job will come out perfect and not find hidden costs.

I've meant to write something about Dr. Plumber for about six weeks, since Jack and his assistant replaced my water heater, pronto, same day, last month, and I don't live in a very convenient part of Reno. They drove away somewhere, at mid-afternoon, and were back with the water heater an hour or so later. By then it was late in the day, but they went right to work and got the job done.

Jack was courteous and efficient, and even moved a couple of pipes to better, cleaner locations on the garage wall as he replaced the tank. We were very pleased with Jack's work, and the water has been hot, hot, hot since the day he left the house. :-) I highly recommend Jack and his company.

Outstanding service and expertise!!!
For years I used one of the major plumbing firms in NV. I always thought the service was adequate but never outstanding and the price was always very high. I tried to find another plumber knowing that there must be someone better and cheaper and went on a friends recommendation and tried a different plumber. The service was even worse than my long term plumber. This time when I had a plumbing problem I thought I would try my luck with Yelp as I have used them before with very good results. Long story short I struck it rich with Yelp and found Jack whose business is called Dr. Plumber. He is AWESOME. Jack fixed a problem my expensive plumber said he fixed but it was never fixed. Jack determined that the reason the faucet had not been fixed by my previous plumber was due to a foreign part being used. Jack took the time to find the correct part and my faucet no longer leaks. I said ""long story short"" so I won't go on to tell you the other innovative fixes Jack managed in other areas of my home. Bottom line he is more than fair with his pricing and he does a quality job and finds a way to work you into his schedule. I cannot recommend Dr. Plumber highly enough for honesty, fairness with pricing, skill level, innovative problem solving, efficiency, prompt service, and on and on. I also found out he will do rotor-rooter type of work and has all the equipment. I like to have my plumbing pipes snaked once a year as a preventative measure before the drains start gurgling. He is coming back tomorrow to snake the plumbing lines in the house and again his price is better than the major firms in town. It is a great feeling to know if you have a plumbing issue that there is someone like Jack to come to the rescue without breaking the bank.
