I recently experienced a clogged drain that backed up my kitchen sink as well as my clothes washer drain. I attempted to clear the drain myself but it became apparent that the problem required industrial equipment. I am new to the area so I chose Dirty Plumber based on the positive reviews on Yelp. Daniel showed up the day I called and proceeded to work to resolve the problem. As it turned out the clog was much worse than I had expected. Daniel was very professional and would not give up until the problem was solved. A part on the tool he was using to clear the drain broke and instead of using it as an excuse to quit he fashioned a temporary fix so he could complete the job. After multiple attempt and Daniels willingness to stay at it, he finally was able to clear the drain. Daniel was patient, professional, and definitely qualified to complete the task at hand. I will refer Dirty Plumbing to anyone looking for a good plumber.

Our 28 year old hot water heater finally went out and was leaking into our garage. I called 2 plumbers but Dirty Plumber was the only one that called right back. They got me into their schedule quickly and the team that they sent out did a very good job with the installation of our new smart tankless hot water heater. They kept us informed about what was going on during the install and did a great job cleaning up.

I recently discovered a hot water pipe leak and called them seeing their good reviews on yelp. The dry-wall was already cut open and I exactly described the leak (leaking at joint between pex pipe and copper pipe). I asked if they can come and inspect and give an estimate which they do not.

The technician showed up, inspected and then immediately said he needed to get parts from his sparks shop and took around 40 minutes to get back that was charged at $118 per hour. They also added a fuel surcharge even if my house was within their service area.

So they charged me 2 hours out of which 40 minutes was for getting the parts from their sparks shop even after i had exactly described where the leak was. They also start charging from the time the technician leaves from their earlier job and not when he show's up at the customers house.

I would find a different company for my future plumbing needs.


UPDATE:

After checking my cameras, it was actually 50 minutes to get the parts and 15 minutes to arrive at the home and all was charged as labor time. I live in southwest Reno.

I did mention pex o-ring (instead of pex expansion ring) but also mentioned it was a leak at the joint between the pex pipe and copper pipe and the pex ring needs to be replaced. While i did not mention the exact part name (I am not a plumber!), I believe to have provided enough information to understand the issue.

The parts used were 5"" of 3/4"" copper pipe and 3/4"" brass - pex adapter and both are in stock at local lowes that is 7-8 minutes from my home.

Also, i don't think i could have denied the service after the in house estimate as the charge time had already started when the plumber left his previous job and there is a 1 hour minimum charge.

Their work was good. The guy even attempted to clean up his mess. I was appreciative. They gave me a quote to get additional work done. It seemed a little high priced. I decided to have a few other companies give me quotes. Dirty Plumber is very overprice compared to other reputable companies.

For the past 24 Hours I was panicking and losing sleep over my leaking shower mixing valve. It was leaking for who knows how long on top of this it was one of those of Price Pfister style valves installed in a one price fiber glass tub surround (very difficult to access). I looked far and wide hoping to get a pro to give me a hand. I made my way down the list of all plumbers in Reno and couldn't get anyone with a reasonable job start time; and the one plumber I could get wanted rip apart my whole bathroom to access but didn't know when he could start the job. After everyone else stopped answering my calls one company picked right up and told me they could be there first thing in the morning. I warned them that it was going to be a daunting challenge but they didn't hesitate. I was not sleeping very well the night before when I did wake up the next morning they were here. They had all the parts and tools needed to knock out the job now not 48 hours from now right now today ahora. Not only that but the employee they sent to my aid Enrique Sanchez masterminded a brilliant method to complete the emergency repair without causing me to rip apart my entire bathroom. When he told me of his plan I was amazed at how genius it was because only a truly skilled master of his craft could have ever come up with this plan which saved me hours of unnecessary sweat and headache. During the entire job which was completed in half the time everyone else was projecting he remained extremely professional and even took time to answer my inexperienced questions about plumbing around my house. When the job was done my shower looked totally upgraded and much better than before. They even saved me a lot of money and did not try to rip me off. These guys were a real breath of fresh air with how honest, fast and down to earth they operate. They responded so quickly that no damaged occured to my house, if I had to wait 48 hours who knows how much damaged could have occurred to my wall and foundation. I decided to write this review before going to bed to let everyone know how much better I will sleep tonight knowing that the job was done right the first time.

Jack was prompt in returning my call for a leaking bath faucet. Within 18 hours of first contact, via Yelp, Enrique had the parts and fixed the leak. Great service, and fixed the issue in a manner of a couple hours. Will definitely use them again!
