Requested a quote to run a gas line to my bbq - length is less then 10 feet from my basement to where the bbq is -- quote came back $910! This is four times the amount of other quotes i received. Should have checked Yelp before i even called them.

Called in for an estimate and was told, 'oh, you're not one of our regular customers'. Never heard from them. Nice way to build up your customer base with that attitude.

Zero Stars ... Follow up. Using the outside spigot for only the second time since repair, and it leaks.

Just like the rest on this page, I had a water heater issue and their worker broke something and because we couldn't prove it, got stuck with a huge bill. Stay away from them. I also had an issue with my central air non emergency and I was so shocked to see the 2k bill. Never again!

I am writing to thank you for the splendid work your kind and professional staff, Tom and the young man(sorry my mom did not know his name) did in my mom's house. Tom went out of his way to explain everything to my mom, most workers that come out never do!

We will be sure to spread the word as widely as possible that a great plumbing company exists in our midst.

Best regards,
Martha

My wife and I had the same experience as others that have posted reviews regarding John DiRosato Plumbing. They charged us $600+ to fix an issue with our dishwasher. When we received the bill in the mail we were shocked. The bill was charging us for 2 men for 2.5 hours. In reality, two men arrived and one man left right away and returned at the end of the first hour. At that point the two men had a discussion about what needed to be done and left together for a half an hour to get parts. They returned and both worked for about an hour. We were charged for 2 men, for 2 and half hours. One man was not even at our home for an entire hour. He was not getting parts, he did not even know what we needed until the end of the first hour. He returned with a soda. We called Keith asking for an explanation and he said he would get back to us after ""speaking with his guys"". We told him we wanted to pay the bill, but we didn't believe the price was fair. We should have been charged for only one person for the first hour. He then lied to the owner stating that ""we refused to pay"". We called more than once over the course of months and never received a return call. We then received notice that our bill would go to collections if not paid within 7 days, and we called back asking for an explanation again. My wife was told by Keith that he didn't have time to talk to her and that the owner could get back to her a month and half later when he returned from vacation. She was also hung up on. We received a letter from a collection agency dated one day later than the 7 day notice sent by DiRosato. We paid the bill prior to receiving this and attached a letter asking to be reimbursed with the difference. The check was cashed an hour later. It was convenient that the check was cashed so quickly. In addition, John DiRosato was in fact at the office and not away. I hope people read this and think twice before contacting this company. Do so at your own risk.

Called DiRosato Plumbing on a friend's recommendation for a water problem in my basement. I didn't ask for two men, but they sent two. After a 10 minute examination of my problem, they determined that my water problem was beyond the scope of their company. But one of the men spent 20 minutes replacing a damaged six foot PVC pipe. He did not caulk or cement one end into the adjoining pipe. It pulled out with finger pressure, so the work he did was not acceptable. The other man chatted with me in my driveway while the first man did his 20 min. of work. Total time spent at my house was about 45 minutes. I was charged for TWO MEN AT $100/HR. FOR TWO HOURS, TOTAL $400. When I got the bill, I called and left a message to try negotiate a more reasonable bill. No call back. Over the next few weeks, I called three times, but I never got past the billing clerk, who was polite and promised a call back, but which never came They sent the bill to a collection agency. I offered to pay and did pay $200, half the bill, hoping they would accept it and close the matter. Even that was exorbitant, considering what they did. But the billing clerk claimed to only be the middle man. Their response was to send me another bill, including another late charge.

If there was a rating lower than one star, I'd give it, but Yelp won't accept zero stars.

So upset right now... I love writing great reviews for small businesses but unfortunately this company gets the lowest of the low because in my opinion that's what is deserved. I called because I had a clogged drain and needed to get it fixed. I made an appointment and asked the cost. They said they had to see it. Then when they came and unclogged it, I asked how much and the gentlemen said they did not know and would send an invoice. Well... I just got the invoice and am not happy. $270 to do a job that took them 10 minutes. I understand there is a flat rate for these things but if it was that much I would have gone to Horizon quoted me at $170. The reason I went with this company is because I like to support small and local business.. Well I guess not any more...

I even called to just let the manager know that I was going to pay the bill but was upset and how I felt deceived and he just said he would note it on the ticket... He even said it is a flat rate ($270). So.. he should have been able to tell me that when I first called..

They billed me without finishing the job. I have been trying for months to discuss when they would come back and finish the job and Keith keeps giving me the run around. I call, he says he'll call me back, he never calls. I get a new bill, I call, he says he'll call back. He never calls. Before the holiday I called again and was assured by Keith they'd call me Tuesday morning, 9/6. No call. I come back from vacation a week later to discover they sent my bill into collections instead of returning my call. I call again, Keith immediately tells me it's on someone else's desk before I even get to say why I'm calling. He put me on hold for 5 minutes then came back and assured me he'd call me back within an hour, at which time he was finally interested in my name and phone number, and he never called back. I'd like the info to contact their legal department now, as they've been stringing me along for MONTHS and are now going to impact my credit.

The work was ok. He tried to fix my shower faucet but it did not work. Replaced it said he did not charge me for the attempted repair. The price for the faucet and to install it was $690. it was in a tight spot and it took him 3 hours to install it. If his hourly rate is $100 a hour the faucet would then cost $390. When i questioned the bill i was basically told that was the price. I will not be giving him any more of my business or referring him to anyone i know.
