While the individual plumbers are great, the office staff does not respond to email requests and is generally not very helpful/thorough. They asked me to call the town to coordinate a water shut up for their service call. The town showed up, but they didn't.
I had a plumber quote me one price. I called the office serveral times and sent emails trying to reconfirm that price with no answer/response. When the bill came, it was 50% higher than what I was initially quoted. I asked for the owner to give me a call and after some prodding on my end, he did. He basically said pay it or don't ever call him again. He said he has more clients than he can handle and he basically couldn't care less if I stayed or went.
Ridiculously exorbitant pricing for general plumbing work. They did solder fittings which took 3x as long as working with newer fitting technologies. Had no idea about plex. Charged 2x initial quote. Avoid this plumbing company.
Great people. Prompt, intelligent and polite. I've been a customer for over 20 years on all size jobs.
Dickinson responded promptly 1 yr ago but broke Delta handle on our shower that was only 5 yrs old. Rick, the owner, took the handle and said he would find a replacement but never did. We called him more than 6 times and he would apologize and eventually said it must have been discontinued. He told me that if I could find a replacement he would install it for free 1.5 yrs later. So I sent a pic to Delta and in 48hrs they sent me the link to replace it for $35. I called Rick and he actually fired me and told me never to call him again. Sounds like the ""Sons"" need to run the business at this point. I tried to explain to him that in my work in the health profession, we would be accountable for this kind of small error and he said he sees no connection. I hope his business survives, but I think it will require new management to do so. Maybe finances are tough? I wish them the best, but $34 and 1.5 yrs seems ridiculous.
Same reviews as you see posted here. They had to come to our house several times to fix the issue and once they declared it was fixed the system broke again. Sent us a bill for an insane amount because the technician took way too long for the task at hand and they upmarked the materials by more than double. By the way, they do not take credit card or debit card: cash or check only. Homeowners beware, this was an unpleasant experience with awful customer service.
Sent an ill-equipped, slow worker and then charged an excessive amount. Job should have taken much less billable time, but due to inefficiency of their worker, we footed the bill. He put the parts in backwards then kept asking if we normally had problems with hot water. Only after explaining we did not, he realized he installed it wrong and had to redo the work. Rude and condescending response when we called to question the charges.
A very easy job to do (replace a few older bathroom faucets). The woman I spoke to on the phone to set up the call was rude even before she berated me for purchasing the faucets (apparently it should have been obvious to me that the company would). I had to cancel the faucets and have the company make the purchase or I would be charge an extra $50/h. The person who came to do the work was polite, however, the charges on the were outrageous! I cannot dispute the labor as I am not an expert, however, I can confirm that 100% equivalent parts that cost $5-10 retail were being relayed to me at almost 100 times that price. The the rudeness and billing turned me right off.
Dickinson employee who fixed my heat was certainly pleasant. I had a couple (2) questions regarding the bill I received and so called to ask. I have never been so disrespected, reprimanded for asking a simple question/get clarification, insulted, and treated like complete garbage. Their employee gave me rough estimates for the two pieces that he replaced while at my house. For one of the parts, I ended up being charged 5-6x more than what their employee estimated and was just inquiring about the discrepancy. I also had a question regarding the labor fee. I did not realize that the 100$/hr fee starts the moment they leave their company driveway, and apparently should have expected the extra $75 fee for travel (20 min each way). I am nearly certain the woman I spoke with who had the horrible tone and attitude, and was incredibly demeaning was the owner. Unfortunately, truly decent labor was absolutely cancelled out by horrendous customer service, communication, and very steep prices. Would highly recommend going with a different company.
