Diamond Irrigation & Backflow

I awoke one morning to the sound of a sprinkler zone that should have been off for hours.  All attempts to shut the entire system down failed and I was left literally digging and clearing debris to find my Backflow Prevention Assembly.  Only one of its two valves would turn, with the help of a wrench no less, but it was enough to temporarily stop the entire sprinkler system.

Enter George and  Diamond Irrigation & Backflow in Austin.  I sought out George specifically because he is a licensed Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT), licensed by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and registered with Austin Water Utility. 

George responded quickly, he and his crew were onsite in less than 24 hours, and everything was competently replaced.  George even checked the remainder of the system and proactively replaced sprinkler heads and gave me a heads up about a station I needed to keep an eye on.  I really appreciated the consultative service and the price was fair and reasonable.

George was cool. When first contacting him, he actually tried to walk me through how I might be able to fix the issue on my own, and save myself some money. But after explaining to him my full problem he agreed to come by that same afternoon and took care of the issue quickly and efficiently.

Previously, I had gotten a quote from another company and a fairly young employee, who -- in retrospect -- couldn't have had a lot of experience... had given me a quote that was (no joke) over $4k to essentially replace a large number of valves. crazy.

George arrived, had the problem worked out within a half hour; fixed within 2 hours; and all for a couple of hundred bucks. 1/20th of the original quote.

I intend to keep calling George for all my future sprinkler needs... he's shown himself to be a fair, hard working and honest.

George and his team are fabulous! They come out quickly and are very reasonable on their pricing. I didn't know how my system worked, it has a rain sensor that stops the sprinklers from running and I thought it was broken and they showed me and didn't charge me for not knowing and they very well could of. Firstly, you know you have a winner when a person answers the phone. Irrigation is such a competitive field in this area that many companies I called had a voicemail and (maybe) called you back the same day, or they couldn't book you for weeks which left my crispy brown shrubs and lawn to die miserably. Enter George - who calls you when he begins heading to your home and even updates you if he's stuck in traffic. Right there, I knew I had a winner. George didn't disappoint, as he looked at my dismal spaghetti bowl of odds-n-ends wires, dried in the sun because a former sprinkler company had just left a mangle of mess above ground and exposed many years ago and the former homeowner had no clue. I was concerned that my budget was blown and I'd not be able to put my kids through college, but George quoted me an estimate for the job to which he neatly fixed and installed a new control unit. This new unit was light years ahead of the old junker that came with the house and was so much easier to program. He completed the job much faster than anticipated and the price was about half what we thought it could be ( now my daughters can run for President someday! ). Thanks George for walking me through the programming and operation! He also patiently taught me about maintenance since I'm from Seattle and never had a system before. I'd recommend George and Diamond instantly to friends, neighbors, clients and others. I now have my GO TO SPRINKLER guys!

Diamond irrigation did a fantastic job on our irrigation system. We installed a pool and the pool company completely tore up the backyard irrigation. George and his crew did a new install and connected lines to the front yard to get everything working again. Very professional, great communication along the way and his team showed up on time and worked into the late hours to finish up laying sod. Even when there were a few issues along the way, Diamond irrigation took accountability and rectified them in a timely manner.

Absolutely phenomenal service from Diamond Irrigation. Easy scheduling, constant communication, professional courteous crew who took their time to make sure everything was working and actually explained to me what was going on as they were fixing my system. Helped me set my auto sprinklers which i haven't been able to do in the 3 years I've lived at my house.
