These guys are straight up scammers! I had them come out to fix my air conditioner. They told me the capacitor was blown and wires were burned. I was then told that I needed a new air conditioner. Then they told me I didn't have to pay for repairs because the unit was not salvageable. They are trying to get me to pay $1078 for repairs!

I got another estimate from Dragon Fly Air and they told me that the Dial One Sonshine tech ripped out all the wires and the capacitor to make it look like the air conditioner was no good.

Dragon Fly fixed the capacitor and the cut wires. It cost me $1052 to get the damaged fixed, but my air conditioner is fixed. Dial One is trying to get me to pay $1078 for repairs when they damaged my air conditioner. I wouldn't be surprised if the five star rating are fake. If they scammed me, they will scam you too. WATCH OUT!

I went back to a four-star from a one star. The owner did finally call me after the install was complete. I understand that he's busy, that's a great problem to have. I appreciate that and all he had to do was call last Friday as I was told he would. I am very grateful that it's done and completed. He called this afternoon, apologized, took ownership of the situation and assured me it is not how he usually does business. I'm very grateful for that. His installer, a young man by the name of Jason Garcia is tremendous!! I would've given them five stars but for poor communication and requiring multiple days off of work due to that poor communication.

Dial One replaced our furnace December 2022. Did a great job, so we thought. Went to use the A/C today. Wasn't working. Called an A/C company we used in the past. Dial One techs never tested the A/C after installing the furnace, otherwise they would've known that they had mis wired the A/C at both the furnace connection and on the outside A/C unit. Cost me $200.00. Just called Dial One to try to get reimbursed. SOL on that one. So, I'm out $200.00 for a wiring issue that the Dial One techs should've caught.

These guys basically scammed my parents of $59.

They sent my parents a postcard saying it's time for an AC tuneup and annual maintenance, which will ""increase your system's efficiencies, extend the lifespan of your equipment, and improve overall comfort"". It's true that this postcard doesn't specify exactly what a tune-up is, however I'm pretty sure it should be SOMETHING.

The actual visit involved the technician Andy opening the cover, showing my parents some dust and rust inside the unit, and then suggesting a replacement. The replacement was verbally quoted by the supervisor, Manny, at $5,000-6,000, but when the actual quote came, it was $19,000-$32,000. Apparently there are some rebates that some customers once got, but Manny ""didn't have time"" (apparently he was hungry- I guess it was around lunchtime) to let my parents know what these were. Andy didn't clean anything and put the cover back on the unit. Put on the spot, my parents gave him $59.

My parents later tried to call the owner to ask for a refund. He said our unit is too old to tune up and $59 is a service charge paid for the visit. Again, while ""tune up"" is not exactly defined, I feel it should involve something besides staring at your unit and telling you to get a new one. This ""tuneup"" seems like a marketing visit masquerading as a service. Beware of your ""discounted tuneup"" postcard!!

We've had chronic issues with backups and clogs in the line from the kitchen sink and laundry. A previous rooter company had told us the problem was under our driveway. Before breaking out the driveway we had Sonshine run a camera down the line and they immediately determined that the line doesn't even go under the driveway. It actually is 180 degrees the opposite direction and the problem is a sag in the line under our bedroom.
We opted not to repair it as we can have it jetted as needed probably the rest of our lives for less than the trouble and cost of the repair, but it saved the cost of tearing up and repairing the driveway for no reason.

Danny and Morrisey were top notch! We received a call letting us know when they would arrive and they were actually early. We had the water heater, installed in 2015, replaced. They did a fantastic job! They did more than just take the old one out and put a new one in. They had to do a lot more to bring everything up to code; replacing ball valves, copper piping where needed, relocating the gas shut off valve, replacing the old platform with one that was much more stable and new straps. They stayed until the water heater came up to temperature and then checked all the household faucets to insure we not only had hot water but good water pressure. Danny went over everything they did and explained the annul maintenance, which is included When they left you would never know they were there. Not a piece of trash was left behind. All we have to show for all their hard work is a beautiful new water heater.

Update: Spoke with the owner regarding my experience. Appreciate the effort and time it took to understand my concerns and clarify their service package. I updated my review below to give a clear understanding of my recommendations/experience.
----
This rating of the review is due to marketing and lack of clarity regarding what the service entails after speaking to a representative.
----
I received a mailer from Dial One Sonshine for a tune-up/maintenance service for $59. I decided to schedule it after speaking to a representative on what this entailed (cleaning & diagnostic) I decided to go ahead with it.

Pros:
+ The technician that came out seemed very honest. He assessed my system, showed me photos of what he found, and successfully made me concerned about the chances of the leak from my HVAC system soaking the floor/ceiling above the bedroom and falling through weakened ceiling.

Cons:
- Lack of clarity on the mailer about what a tune up entails. Clean up for this business is light cleaning without taking the other system apart whereas other companies will charge $40/50 more to take the system apart to clean.
- Tune-Up/Maintenance service is not the same as what other companies' tune up service included.
- Light Cleaning Job Quality - There was no cleaning supplies taken into my home so I'm not sure what light cleaning what done and how it was done. The motor and system still has leaves and was covered in dust.
- A deep cleaning was not mentioned at all during my initial phone conversation when I called to ask what the tune up entailed. Only advertised to me when I asked if the technician was going to clean the system as well.
------
I recommend getting a clear understanding of what they mean by cleaning/tune-up and compare this against other companies. Through this process, I learned a tune-up/maintenance is different for this business. It's a light cleaning and diagnostic without taking the system apart for cleaning.

I just had my HVAC system replaced, including removal of old parts and asbestos residue and installing new ducts and vents and other system parts. It was interesting to watch and listen to the men work. You could see they were good at what they were doing and they enjoyed working with each other as if they were part of a happy family. They left me with happy memories of a very big project. Diane H.
