Not sure why nobody has ever reviewed this business. But in any case, I do believe that nobody should ever pay $200 just to have a simple kichen sink clog cleared (no leak otherwise and that seems to be what other people charge) in a few minutes. That's a rip off in my book. Last time it happened, I called Roto Rooter and I clearly remember that's what I paid. I refused to do it this time so I literally got on Yelp, using the Yelp app feature to contact over 10 plumbers for ""bidding war"" and this guy won! I will let them quote the rate but I can tell you, nobody was able to beat their rate. And they're stilll licenced plumber and comes with 30 day guarantee.

I'm not calling elsewhere next time it happens as long as these guys stay in the business and they should. And you as a reader, shouldn't have to look around elsewhere anymore either.

Did a great job and REASONABLE rates! Worked to fit me into a busy day, and showed up and when they said they would. Ralph sent Cortney who was friendly and very professional. Did the job quickly, and thoroughly cleaned up the mess afterwards. He was a great guy, and a pleasure to work with! We'll definitely call them again next time we have a problem (which we hope will be many moons away!)

These guys were great. They came quickly, when they said they would. They charged what they said they would charge and they didn't try to find other jobs to do. I would definitely use them again (though hopefully not anytime soon) and would recommend them.

I had another plumber come in and give me a $300 quote on a simple clogged tub drain. After showing him the door, I called Northside and within 90 minutes they were at my place, snaked the drain in 10 minutes and only charged me $75 (as they quoted me from the get go.) I'll be using them again and you should too.

I am hesitant whenever I see a bad review. But don't be a fool like me. These guys are FANTASTIC!!! I regret not hiring them sooner. The customer service was extremely organized and friendly. They give you an estimated time period where a technician will be there right away. I am not sure who our fellow Yelper Khashma W. dealt with, but the Ralph Datena I worked with is highly professional and did an excellent job.

When Ralph and another technician arrived, they took the time to figure out where my drains came from and to, identified the potential blockage, snaked it, and provided maintenance care knowledge. I was extremely impressed with the time and care they took with me on my home. As a single female living alone, it is tough to find trustworthy plumbers. I guess I lucked out.

Bottom line: Dial-A-Sewer-Mechanic will be my go to plumbers from now on.

I've used this company several times and I will explain why I continue to do so..

5 days after closing on my first short sale home, my tenant calls me up to tell that the basement is overflowing. I was desperate and began dialing any company that would pick up on a Saturday 11pm. God must have heard my prayers because Alex responded within the hour. (Everybody else responded next day.) I sent Alex pictures and videos of the basement so he could have an idea of what he was dealing with. The next day, he showed up as promised.

Everything is explained, effort is made to save me money and excellent workmanship which basically summarizes every encounter I have with them. The company charges reasonable prices but I usually tip him a little extra for going above and beyond. Not only is Alex successful in resolving my tough clogs but also provides feedback and suggestions in preventing it from occurring.

I can't say enough good things about Alex and this company. It's the way all plumbing companies used to be. Recommend to anyone.

I finally found a plumber and I hope he comes back. I have this recurring, stubborn bathtub and toilet clog for the past year. My husband and I have always used our cousin Tommy who does our odd jobs for free but lives 2 hours away. Having Tommy constantly return has become cumbersome. I asked amongst my homeowner circle of friends and this company was on the highly recommended list so I decided to give them a call.

Initially, they declined to service us because we are out in Rockland county (yes, very far .. I know!). After dropping a few names of their clients (my friends), they agreed to do us the favor and come take a look. Ralph, a cute middle aged technician was polite, arrived on time, clear in explaining what was wrong, what my cousin Tommy failed to do and how he was going to fix it.

Thus far, it has been 10 CLOG-FREE/STRESS-FREE/HAPPY months. This was worth every penny we paid! Rates were reasonable. Stellar experience, would definitely want Ralph to come back if I have future plumbing problems. Btw, he took half the time to fix the clogs than my cousin Tommy.

Bull crap! There was no leak, or corrosion. The leaks started after Ralph damaged our pipes. I found a reputable plumber who was able to clean up the damage that was done. He took 5 hours to complete the job, and I was more than happy with his service, he was honest, compassionate and most importantly he knew exactly what he was doing. He looked at the pipes and automatically saw that the damage was done by your company, and he confirmed the pipes weren't rusty, and I have pictures to prove. I am not done with your business as of yet. When I called the company, he was so nasty and even hung up on me so to come on yelp trying to sound civilized is just as fake as the claim you filed with my insurance company.

Raise your hand if you like coming back from vacation to find your basement flooded in feces, waste water and raw sewage. Omg, I was freaking out!! Who is going to help me on a Tuesday night at 10pm??? I googled and must have dialed over 20 plumbing companies, which none responded back. My neighbor recommended that I give Dial A Sewer Mechanic a try since they are her go-to's for any clogged sewers/drains. Alex, the technician responded within minutes and arrived at my door 25 minutes later!!!. He was prompt, professional, did an excellent job diagnosing my severely clogged main sewer, was in constant communication with me to explain all the work that he was doing and even gave recommendations for long term care.

Incredible service, thorough knowledge, fair price and peace of mind was all I could ask for. As a homeowner, it is a blessing to have plumbing pro that I can rely on.
