Kevin was fantastic to work with! Great communication skills and very responsive when I called with a problem. Worked me into his schedule that same day. He made my emergency his priority, and called back twice! Once to confirm the 2 hour window he gave me and once to let me know he was on the way and that he'd be 15 minutes early. Showed up exactly as promised. Immediately got to work. Expertly diagnosed two issues we had. Had all the right tools and parts in his van. Was extremely polite and professional!! Cleaned up as he went. Even put a nice bead of caulk around the base of the toilet to seal it after he was done even though there wasn't any there before. And charged a very reasonable amount. I would highly recommend him as a honest, talented, and responsible plumber!!

Had clogged shower and tub drain one evening. Used Drano, which only made the water back up more. Called Kevin who kindly agreed to come out first thing tomorrow morning at 7 AM and quoted me a fair reasonable rate. Overnight the clog cleared and water was flowing as normal. Kevin called the next morning to confirm directions and I informed him the clog had cleared, but I still wanted him to check it out ""to be sure"". Kevin said I would be wasting my money for him to check it out since there was no problem to troubleshoot, he gave me some tips to avoid future problems and told me call him if the drain gets clogged again. I will keep Diablo Rooter and Kevin in mind for future plumbing problems, it's rare to find an honest cordial plumber.

Kevin (and occasionally his brother) are as good as it gets. It's like ""the good old days"". Quiet competence, zero corners cut. We've been customers of Kevin for over a decade and I almost wish for plumbing problems just so I can see the quality of the job that he invariably produces.

A balanced review should list the pros and the cons but with Kevin there honestly aren't any cons.

Kevin is really the best and most honest plumber I have met. My main line was backed up a few months ago so I called My usual handyman and he gave me Kevin's number but when I called Kevin he was booked for the rest of the week. I ended up using with another company. Kevin called me later that evening to make sure I got the job taken care of. We talked for a few minutes and when I mentioned the emergency cost and the fact that the company could not find the line in front of the house Kevin came by the next day free of charge to show me where it was so I would not have to pay that price again.
Last week we had our above ground pool drained and the pool man ran the drain line to that drain. Later that day our lines were backed up so I called Kevin. He came out and seen that the line that was used for draining the pool was too far in the drain and that's what caused the line to back up. He removed it and didn't charge a penny.
I also had him look at my garbage disposal that was making a very loud noise and he was able to replace same day at a very reasonable and fair price in less that an hour. Would definitely recommend Kevin! Not too many plumbers will help you out and say don't worry about just because it was literally less than a minute to fix the problem....

Kevin saved the day! It was Sunday afternoon, I was taking a shower when the drain started to backup. I thought to myself, I guess it is time to snake the hair out of the shower drain again. But after my shower I noticed that the back bathroom shower drain backed up too. Oh no, I thought, it's the main drain! I raced to check the clean out in the front of the house and once I opened it, it started gushing. Sure enough all the drains in the house were now clear but I had a bigger problem, a clogged main sewer line, without the proper tools to clear it.

I called couple of plumbers but most couldn't come out on a Sunday and all of them would only provide a quote ""after discovering the problem"". I thought the problem was pretty clear but that didn't matter to most plumbers.

Kevin at Diablo Rooter was the only one to offer a quote up front based on the information that I provide. He was at another job at the time but said he was free after and would call me when he was finished. About an hour later he called and was on the way. This was a great relief to my boys and my wife. He arrived a few minutes later, was very courteous and got right to work. He cleared the line and then asked me to flush all the toilets several times and check all the other drains too. Everything was working great so he packed up.

Kevin charged a very fair price and provided great service on a Sunday afternoon. I have already saved his number in my phone and will be sure that he's my first call next time I need help with plumbing issues.

My water heater was done on Sunday, June 28, 2020. A friend recommend Kevin-Diablo Rooter. I called Kevin about 11:00 AM on Sunday. I expected to leave a message and he'd return my call on Monday, since it was Sunday. I left a message and he called me right back. I told him the problem and he said he was on at a job at that moment and he would come by my house later that afternoon to assess the situation. He showed up at 2:30 PM. We both knew I needed a new water heater. He said he'd start working on the project right then and return Monday morning to install the water heater. After working on the project 90 mins to 2 hours, he said he would finish the project that day. He went back to his house, obtained a water heater, and was back at my house lickety split. He installed the new water heater and the job was complete within 3 1/2 - 4 hours. What struck me about Kevin, the solo operator of the company, is he's very polite and professional. He coninually called me ""Miss"" on the phone and when he came to my house. I told him to call me by my first name. He continued to call me ""Miss."" lol! He did great work in a short amount of time. Kevin is all about the customer. He's Johnny on the spot to provide a great service at a fair and reasonable price. Ethical, professional, nice and just an all around good guy. You won't go wrong hiring Kevin!

This review is long overdue, as I've called on Kevin several times now to rescue us from different plumbing related woes over the past couple of years.

Kevin always does a great job; his work is high quality and his work ethic and level of honesty is of the highest quality too. If there's a service he thinks I may need that he can't provide, he will openly say so and recommend another company. Every time I call Kevin, I am shocked at how quickly he gets back to me, and then again how quickly he's usually able to come and help me with whatever new and exciting problem has sprung up. He will set up an appointment, and then on the day of, he will also let me know when he's on the way, and when he expects to arrive.

Kevin is so easy to work with, and such a kind person as well. Highly recommend!
