I recently had a negative experience with Diablo Plumbing---a clogged drain line which required rooting, a job I have done many times myself with rental equipment. I don't do this any longer since I'm 78 years old but it never took me more than 30 minutes including picking up the rental equipment. The blockage was, as always,about 15 feet from a very accessible clean out.
I called Diablo Plumbing and was quoted $125 per hour,Even if I was advised of "" travel time""
(I don't think I was) I knew from experience that it couldn't take over 1/2hr so I expected to pay for 1 hr labor I told the worker exactly where the problem was(roots).
I still don't know why it took him so long
The final bill was $185 including $60 ""travel time"" I paid this and called the office and was informed that the hourly rate was $125 They refused to make any adjustments.If I hadn't qualified for the senior discount the bill for the first hour would have been $200 including ""travel time"" Buyer beware. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

I received excellent service from Rick and Jim. Before they came, Rick talked to me over the phone & was very patient with explaining to me what needed to be done in my condo and why. I know I was lucky he was quite familiar with my building. And both he and Jim were professional and very kind. They replaced three shut-off valves and 3 faucets. I would easily recommend them!

Diablo Plumbing recently repaired a leak from a hot water pipe in the ceiling of my condo. They worked directly with the HOA at first, but once it was identified that the leak was my responsibility, I was worried that the price would be significantly higher. I was happy to see that the hourly rate was still comparable to other service providers in the area. And the repair work was completed quickly since the area had previously been identified and marked off for repair. I would use them again based on my most recent experience!

I've worked with this company for a long time. They do commercial and residential plumbing. They are honest, professional and competent. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a job done right. One of their technicians, Rick, has been around the block a few times and is excellent at resolving plumbing issues in old, old buildings. He's seen it all. Don't hesitate to call Diablo Plumbing. They're very good.

The sink in my kitchen was not getting any water out when I would turn it on so I called Diablo Plumbing to see if they can fix the problem. Took them no longer than 30 minutes to find the problem and fix it!

I am glad to read how overwhelmingly happy the others are. I am not. I had a drain that needed unplugging. Rick the Diablo plumber came. He did not clear the drain and charged over $300 - for travel, for ""cleanujp"" (1/4 hour to walk to his truck and put the snake back in), and over two hours of talking, experimenting, and failing to fix the problem. Another plumber came and fixed the issue in ten minutes. The owners said they would refund some of the money but never did. I suggest looking elsewhere not only because of the quality of the service but because of the scruples and attitude towards at least this customer.

Fantastic service! At the end of the day, as Diablo Plumbing finished a job at my neighbors' house, Rick kindly heard my distress, and came over to trouble shoot a significant water leak. He lengthened his work day that night to diagnose the problem, and then the next day came at 7am to assess and make arrangements for repair. Shannon came later that morning to execute the repair, and by the end of the day, less than 24 hours after I originally approached the truck for help, the problem was solved. They went above and beyond expectations and we were grateful for their responsive and professional manner.

Be very careful. We called this company to come repair a leak in our bathroom. They came but did not have the right part. The workman said he would go to Home Depo and pick up the part. It would take him 15 minutes. He returned 45 minutes later, I timed it. The company charges a lot per hour and that was a very very expensive trip for a $5.00 part. Additionally Diablo Plumbing charged us 30 minutes to get to our house. So we paid for 1 hour and 15 minutes of the plumber driving around.
