Great pre-visit communication, thorough analysis of several plumbing issues, including (when I asked) about cheaper alternatives, particularly as to fixtures. But as for repairs? Very clear about what was needed (and NOT needed), and friendly skilled fast work (thanks, Frankie!). Not cheap, but I didn't expect plumbers to be inexpensive.

D&F Plumbing has in the past been good quality and decent prices. So I turned to them to fix a broken cartridge in the shower. They charged me ~$1000 for less than 1 hour of work because the estimator insisted it was a very complex job. I had watched YouTube and didn't agree and asked him about it. I should have said no and I will never do business with them again. I called and asked them to be reasonable. They refused. I do not recommend them unless you have at least 2 other estimates to compare.

They did excellent work. They were able to come fast when I called (just a couple days later on a non-emergency call, which is very quick). Showed up on time, were super friendly, got the job done efficiently and well. I considered taking one star off because of the high price for an installation job, for which their pricing model (""we'll tell you how much when we get there"") gave us no warning and limited opportunity to comparison shop. On the other hand, plumbing is expensive no matter who you go with there does appear to be a ""you get what you pay for"" thing going on: the work and service were superior.

We called D&F to install a new bathroom sink and vanity. Nate, the technician who came out, was efficient, thorough, knowledgeable, and patient with all my questions. He was able to advise a better option for our shower valve as well which ended up saving us a ton of money. New vanity looks great, works great, and by calling in the professionals I was able to save myself 26 trips to the hardware store searching out parts. There was an issue after the install, but D&F and Nate were able to quickly and effectively solve the issue. I would use D&F again.

Frank fixed a shower leak, and installed a new fixture in the shower. Based on previous experiences with other plumbers, we were expecting a major disruption in our water service. Not so with Frank. He was very efficient, as well as being extremely friendly.

Matthew arrived promptly to replace a rickety nylon valve under our kitchen sink and to install a new faucet. He informed me of the expected cost in advance. We now have a beautiful new faucet and a far more sturdy valve installed. We are happy with Matthew's work.
