Garre S.Had an appointment and he explained to me he needed to get back to me about electrical question which he did not know.... this was a Monday , I waited till Thursday and heard nothing, so I called and she said """"oh I will call Phil and one of us will u me back today for sure!! """" Well no one called it's been all week they've had plenty of time to get a single question answered .... obviously my business is not important to them. Customer service is the lifeblood of any sales organization, you only get one chance to make a good impression.... I will move onto a different company who wants my business.
Inigo R.called Devlin over a month ago for a couple of issues I was having at home. A shower with no pressure and I wanted the lines changed under the bathroom sink. We had worked with Devlin before and had a pretty good experience. They were expensive as they charged us almost $800 to change lines under two of our sinks but the plumber was very professional and informative and did a great job. That was 5 years ago, fast forward to a month ago. The """"plumber"""" shows up wearing random street clothes which should've been a red flag but the Devlin vehicle was out front so we let him in. I explained the problems I mentioned before and this guy looked at me like I asked him what the meaning of life was. He was instantly confused and defeated by our request. I saw zero confidence in his face. He looked at the problem areas and I reassured him they had done this job for us before and it seemed relatively easy. He tinkered with the shower faucet for 2 minutes and said the part they needed was on back order and even that might not work otherwise they'd have to cut into the wall behind the pipes. Fine! We have the money, just do it. The way he told us, gave off the notion that he just didn't feel like doing it, basically refusing our request. As for the sink lines, he said he was gonna track down the plumber that did our other sinks and send him. I gave it some time and now it's been a month with no word from this company. The worst part is that the tinkering said """"plumber"""" did on our shower has now created a very very noticeable leaking drip that we have to deal with. Literally came in and made it worse. I emphasized as he was leaving """"please have whoever sets appointments call us and let us know when you guys will be back to fix it. Not a word since. I've dealt with bad customer service of all sorts but this combination that showed up on our doorstep was breathtakingly incompetent. How this guy calls himself a plumber is a joke and he and Devlin are kidding themselves if they want to succeed by putting guys like him on calls and charging what they charge. Never again!
Well, we have a water leak, have waited six hours to hear from dispatch as to when a technician will be here to take care of our leak, and not a word! When I called a second time to see if anyone was coming a curt employee explained to me that if I was told dispatch word call me, then dispatch will call me! So in the mean time we are mopping up water, and trying to keep damage at a minimum. DON'T call Devlin if it is urgent!!! I can NOT give even one star. Terrible way to people.
Called 3 times during the day to get estimated time of arrival, they never called and the guy showed up after 5 o'clock. And overpriced for the job he had to do
Phoned around for quotes to replace a water heater. John G came to estimate, explained clearly the work required, discussed options and didn't push unnecessary extras. He then provided the most competitive price. 3 hours later we had a new water heater. The best service ever!
Boy, these guys are the best! I had a little bit of water in the pan under the hot water tank that have been installed a year and a half ago. I called, and John came out in less than two hours. It was a leaking pressure valve, that they replaced under warranty and didn't charge me a dime. Can't say enough about these guys.
Devlin Plumbing is no longer owned by Chris Devlin. I feel I was deceived and would never have called if I had known. They did not have a filter part that was needed under my sink which should have been on the truck so he left to go buy the part at Lowes which is further away only to find out he found the part at Home Depot which is right near my house. Waste of time and my money. I was charged an extra hour labor for the entire time he was gone to buy the part! He was at my house for total of half hour and I was charged $240 for labor alone PLUS mark up on parts! The price was much higher than I expected for the work that was done. Very disappointed.
Do not use the Devlin Plumbing company. They put in a Water Heater in when I did not need one. They took advantage of a women. My Problem was a stopped up drain pipe. They even left the new water heater in water. Left a note advising I needed to call the Air Condition company. They came and they unstopped the drain pipe but stated that was really a plumbers job. He could not understand why a plumbing company would do that to a lady. Also, I called the plumbing company and the Manager or whatever he was Tony, told they assumed it was the water heater. You know what assume's mean Tony. Then he called me back and said they he would give me back $200 on the $1108.59. Still have not received back on my credit care. I am turning them in to the business license office, Laborer relations and to the Better Business Bureau. Also, found out that the us Roto Rooter license's. Thanks for nothing.
BEWARE, Devlin Plumbing is no longer owned by Chris Devlin but is owned by ROTO ROOTER. I feel I was deceived and would never have called Roto Rooter if I had known. The young man that was here did great work, but the price was much higher than I expected an I still feel that the company misrepresented themselves! Trisha F.
Called today and spoke with Devlin plumbing and told him my plumbing issued. He stated he would call me right back. He returned call in about 5 minutes and told me he would have his technician to me in an hour. Mr Jordan arrived and introduced himself to me and I showed him my issue. He gave the price and proceeded to reseat the toilet. He was very professional, neat and cleaned up after the job. I highly recommend this company for any plumbing needs. Thank you Mr Jordan and Devlin Plumbing.
