Denise C.Buyers beware. I purchased an entire HVAC system with cash, brand new from DeSoto Air in 2020. This unit has stopped cooling 6+ times from 2020-2022. In order to stay compliant with their labor warranty, DeSoto Air is the only company to ever service the unit. It's now May of 2023 and my unit has once again stopped cooling. Despite being the only company to service this unit, they have never been able to get the unit in consistent, working order for an entire season. The owner refuses to refund me my money, despite knowing this unit is defective. I'm now out my $6,000, which is a huge financial loss to anyone but especially a single mother. All I have to show for it is an inoperable HVAC system that's not even three years old. Someone was kind enough to lend me a window unit so my daughter and I are currently held up in my bedroom, as that's the only room in the house with working air.
